You have to provide ID hen you first register to vote in the US. Making people show it every time thereafter is about hassling and suppressing the votes of democrats.
The way it should be
In the USA, we have to show ID when we see a doctor, get on an airplane to fly anywhere foreign and domestic, when we go to a bank where we have an account, and almost anywhere else we go! We absolutely MUST SHOW ID WHEN WE GO TO VOTE. Maybe we should also show our birth certificates to prove we are citizens since illegals are getting drivers licenses.
I'm not sure of any country, except ours, that doesn't have a system of verifying citizens. Some even use ink to mark that you have voted so you can't vote again. At this point I think we may need to add that.
This has been going on for thousands of years in many countries. Its time for it to come to an end.
