I feel like this deck is greatly improved by the one ring getting banned (and probably something from energy) since as is, being a durdley deck doesnt really beat anything in the metagame. Energy is insanely efficient and the combo decks that fight it are faster than you
At the end of round 4, you could have used Valakut to kill Gaddock Teeg- Overlord attack makes an Everywhere token, which is your last mountain to turn the Valakut on. In fact, I'm pretty sure you should have had Valakut on earlier that game, and just weren't thinking about it / playing towards it.
Really cool deck, thanks for sharing Phil. Im not a professional but i really think you should take out glarb instead of the leyline. 1. Leyline combos hard with Scion. Leyline + scion forces opponents to deal with the leyline enchantment because leyline gives scion hexproof. Even if they static prison, they have to pick leyline before they can pick scion. 2. Leyline fixes mana 3. Glarb is the only card that needs black mana(im pretty sure anyway). So boarding out glarb might have also let you board out the 2 tapland triomes and go up on removal I do feel like a bit of an ass because glarb is cool and opponents LOVED to target it for removal but i just think scion + leyline beats glarb + scion Edit to add: ok i saw your wrap up at the end. Sorry i usually skip that. Anyway i agree with your comments about the mana base and i dont mean to sound so harsh about how you sideboarded. I think Dryad of the Ilysian Grove could have a home in this deck with or without the ring. Without the ring glard becomes a lot more important for card advantage/card selection, although thats a problem for many modern decks.
In round 1, that haywire mite only hits noncreature artifacts and enchantments. So overlords that are not impending aren't legal targets, nor are Scions of Draco.
I've been out of the loop on Modern for a while so, while I knew about Martyr Proc splashing green for Haywire Mite and sometimes blue for Supreme Verdict, the Fungi and Consigns were a surprise.
Prismatic Ending is the only card which disqualifies the deck from having Keruga, The Macrosage as a companion. That's not an insignificant cut but it could be interesting if Pending's replacement is okay.
I’m pretty sure 2 instances of The One Ring ETB trigger is just 2 instances of protection from everything in the same turn. The second instance of that is redundant and possibly even fizzles upon resolving unless you can be targeted twice simultaneously. If they trigger sequentially in the same turn then you already have protection from everything with the first and can’t be targeted by the second.
Frog Power! (When it isn't Psychic Frog)
game 1 you forgot mite is noncreature
"This is not enjoyable" tag line for the current state of modern
aint that the statement of the century... good lord I legit didn't realize this wasn't legacy as I skipped the deck tech xD
Round 1 I would have considered endurance to get rid of the pesky removal creatures after they got used up.
I wanna see Glarb in legacy post frog ban

Back to back games with your plan being ruined by Thraben charm is ironic...
I really miss the good old days of Modern before they started rotating the format
Is there anything to legacy glarb beans? Cast force of will of the top+draw a card=profit?
Maybe 1 Palantir could be a fun addition to this deck since the mana values are that high
That round one deck is sooooo anti on-ring lol
Haywire mite in multiples with multiple angles of recursion, plus consigns!
Yeah I don't play modern much atm, but you can see from the video how much the format is warped around Ring exiling.
I got so wrecked. XD

GG for the decks !
Phil's cries of pain bring me joy

How did we manage to forget keruga in this deck? Pending is literally the only sub 3
Pending is not a permanent. This deck is Keruga Compliant™ already.
Sadly, Keruga had a readonable wording, so the x spells make it not compatible
Ahh shit, it's not permanents - it's all cards.
Keruga Compliance denied. Wrath of the Skies and Pending both invalidate.

Everyday i'm Glarbin',Glarbin', Glarbin' ...Party frog is in the house tonight!
oof, modern seems miserable atm
I dont keep up much with modern, does every deck play 4 copies of The One Ring? that seems healthy..
Round 3 not replacing one ring effect whn you had way better board presence was bit greedy pro everything would helped maybe just a thought
We unfortunately got stomped a little, but at least the opponents in games 1 and 4 were cool.
Poor guy's named GLARB :(
one ring should be limit to one in the deck (I am not sure it a good idea but I like the flavour) or ban
