Oh, I live for the day when a customs agent says, "Right, you don't us to touch or search your vehicle? Ok, turn your vehicle around and go back from whence you came, we are not letting you in!" 😅
I think that would be awesome. The Canadian border authorities should call ahead to the US guys and give them a heads up he was acting suspicious.

At least he called his truck a motor vehicle. They should tell people like this if they don't comply turn around and dont come into our country.
These idiots think they're messing around with regular police, but customs and border officers have greater powers and have little patience for games.
Yup! You don't fuck with border patrol! They play by a different set of rules. They can detain anyone they want and search any vehicle they want, and they do not need any warrants or probable cause! If you give them a hard time, you will very quickly find yourself in handcuffs and facing HUGE fines!
These people are so great at escalating everything lol. He bought into a scam that takes his money so he knows how to let the cops take his money and belongings if he stays at it long enough.

I have crossed from Buffalo NY several times into Canada. They can do secondary searches and immigration questions all kinds of things. I know from experience.

Border patrol don't paly... Went to a family reunion many years ago where we were staying in Washington, but the family member who was hosting lived just across the border in Canada. Went back and forth many times through border patrol. Going into Canada, they checked our Washington-plated rental car papers more than once. Two previously-divorced family members had minor children and they checked their papers to make sure they weren't being absconded with. They checked for alcohol more than once. Checked IDs multiple times. They. Mean. Business.
