Funny how politicians with 24 hour security tell us we don't need to be able to protect ourselves.
What those politicians seem to forget is that at any time, those security people that you refer to could decide to be criminals. What is one or more of those security decided to kidnap that person. I thought it was a case where a law was passed, and the manufactures altered their product to abide by the law. Just like the CAFE regulations - car makers don't stop building cars - they alter the product to abide by the law.
No one knew how to do it back when CA started all of this. Now they've figured it out and will make sure there aren't work arounds. In Colorado, they decided just to ban them outright by name instead of by features. Now there is no work around. Sick. We have until July 1st to get what we want, then no more for us. I'm so mad.

A message to US citizens from India , if you remember 26/11 which killed 168 people with 30 Police Officer and hundreds injured which was the work of just 10 people armed with AKM rifles and few grenades , I always thought what if some citizens were armed , could have stopped from destroying other lives , what if the government was not too much strict on gun laws other people would be still alive. Even the Law Enforcement Officers were only allowed to keep outdated revolvers and .303 Lee Enfield Rifles ( Which some States Still Carry) , but we stuck on 'what if' and lost hundreds of lives. Banning Assault rifles doesn't mean they can't be obtained illegally by criminals . Fight for your Second Amendment Rights don't make the mistakes which India made ..

That's why you guys form up a local militia, train consistently to protect the State, acquire and adopt a standard equipment kit, appropriate rifles and handguns. Tactics are important as much as adopting multiple drone technicians who can fly those drones out there for the militia.
The federal government was supposed to be training militias consistently to defend the States. They failed to do so. One piece of advice: NEVER EVER name yourselves insurrectionists otherwise you will face federal charges. Simply adopt a mission statement that specifically says you will defend the Constitution, America and the State as a state militia.

If anyone wants to give you hell all they have to do is call the child protection agency and report to them that they think you may be abusing your children. If that happens all hell will break loose on you. Your rights will be violated and they will rummage through your house and question your children and then when they don’t find anything they will wait a little while and come back for a recheck. All this because someone had it out for you and wanted to mess with you. I know several people this had happened to and the ones who reported them are anonymous and will never be held accountable. So if they did this with the guns you own it will be bad.

A few people (home owners) died because of No Knock warrants thinking it was home invaders in the middle of the night/early morning.
Since "assault weapon" is literally not a category of gun, it would seem these bills fail to meet the most basic criteria; DEFINITION.

The nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics estimated that during the 2016 election, the NRA and its affiliates spent a record $54m to secure Republican control of the White House and Congress, including at least $30.3m to help elect Donald Trump.
But experts have caution that the relationship between contributions from pro-gun groups and Congress’ reticence to change the nation’s gun laws is complicated at best. The NRA accounts for just a fraction of the contributions lawmakers receive, and the group doesn’t crack the top 50 in terms of spending to the lobby the federal government.
As students mourned their friends in Parkland, those frustrated by Congressional inaction trained their fire on Republicans who had received money from the NRA and the gun lobby and demanded they do more than offer “thoughts and prayers”.
Direct contributions and ‘outside spending’
On Thursday, House Speaker Paul Ryan incurred liberal wrath when he told a local radio station:“I think we need to pray, and our hearts go out to these victims. And I think, as public-policy makers, we don’t just knee jerk before we even have all the facts and the data.”
According to the center, Ryan has received $49,650 in direct contributions from the NRA during his nearly two decades in Congress. The figure represents only a fraction of the money spent on the candidate and does not account for “outside spending” that benefits the candidate such as campaign ads and other lobbying efforts.
Among other Republicans who were chastised for offering sentiments include senators Marco Rubio of Florida, Rob Portman of Ohio and Ted Cruz of Texas.

It really speaks to their motive when they say that someone who is complying with the law is "using a work-around". It's an obvious attempt to ban all guns, despite constantly claiming (pretending) that this isn't their ultimate goal.

This has happened to me, I am a Combat Veteran suffering from PTSD. Well, I admitted myself into the hospital because of it yet, never tried to harm myself just to later find out that, my Second Amendment was suspended ! Now I have to fight just to have my Second Amendment Right re instated. When I served over seas in combat, they never had an issue with me carrying a AR-15 and an M9 pistol ! Twenty-four years serving this Country and, this is the THANKS that I get ?!

You don't register in Kansas. You just need a background check. Plus, it would be feasibily impossible to go door to door consficating guns. They call it a loophole because the intention of the new law is to make certain guns (namely the AR-15) non-compliant and thus banned. They objective isn't to force gun owners to make their firearms compliant, it's to force them to get rid of their guns rather than bother with it.

I decided on the Armalite SPR Mod 1, a plain base model that I can customize. The .223 is just a .22 with a BUNCH of powder behind it, resulting in a .22 bullet that travels at about 3500 fps. Anyway, the AR platform turns out to be fun, modular, and highly customizable. I have to thank David Hogg for introducing me to the AR! Thanks!

No state is safe. Texas just started (9/1/19) 800 new laws. The problem is, in every state, they think they HAVE TO ENACT A LAW. To do what? Add more control on "we the people". A few of those were gun related. Most were not. Is there any way to know you are in compliance with the law? No...none of us have any idea of what we miss every day but every year they add more and more on us. It is never ending.

Let's be honest. Armed citizens by and large do not stop mass shootings. They prevent them. By definition you cant have a mass shooting when an armed citizen stops the shooter before they become a mass shooter.
