    thanks for the video... it's badly needed because this device and the ui of the remote is the most unintuitive, needlessly complex thing I've ever seen.

      @@davidjoeseph2646 The interface is one of the worst I've ever seen, truly unintuitive. I've given up and gone back to my heating pads for heat and opening the windows for cool. My electric bill decreased because I have the units turned off because I can't figure out how to use it.

      I've been in this unit 4 months and was cold during winter here in New Zealand, coz I didn't have the remote sorted, in fact I only discovered several days ago that there are controls under a slide panel! It's summer.er here now and thanks to you, I'm enjoying a wonderful cool breeze in my bedsitter!! I'm 75 & just got out of hospital, so I was too weak to fiddle with stuff and even to tidy up! Thank you very much for your clear teaching.

    Hello, not covered by your presentation for the top six buttons but present in the manual is "4-4. SETTING THE INSTALLATION POSITION".
    The installation position can be set only when all the following conditions are met:
    1. The remote controller is powered off.
    2. Weekly timer is not set.
    3. Weekly timer is not being edited.
    Hold down WIDE VANE on the remote controller for 2 seconds to enter the position setting mode. Select the target installation position by pressing WIDE VANE. (Each press of the WIDE VANE displays the positions in order of center, right, and left.) Finally press EDIT/SEND SET to complete the position setting.
    Anyways this was very helpful to hear a clear and calm explanation of what all these mysterious iconographs really mean for the user. Great pacing and overall beautiful presentation. Thanks heaps!

    Wow I gotta say that I learned a bit there.
    I have 2 issues with this remote as designed. Firstly unless you've got 20/20 vision, the snowflake & the sun icon look amazingly similar. Secondly if you're switching fan speeds & modes regularly (like hot days & cool nights) then moving the sliding case up & down several times a day is somewhat annoying.

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  Месяц назад +1

      I hear you about the icons -- they can be confusing, and a bit hard to see. For switching modes/fan regularly, we recommend using the timer settings to program your unit to change the temperature settings automatically. And if you use the "Auto" mode (the 4 arrows in a box) you don't have to switch between heating and cooling modes -- just set the temperature you want. Hope that helps!

    does turning the temperature down make it cooler or is that supposed to be the temperature of the room so makes it hotter????

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  Месяц назад

      Set the temperature for the temperature that you WANT the room to be, and the unit should get your room to that temperature. Lower numbers are cooler, higher numbers are hotter. Keep in mind, though, that you need to have the unit in the code MODE for the season. So make sure the mode is in "heating" mode (the Sun) when it's cold outside and you need heat, and in "cooling" mode (the Snowflake) when it's hot outside and you need cooling. If it's cold in the room and you have it set for "cooling", it's not going to heat the room to 70 degrees F (if that's what you set the temp for, for example). All it would do is turn the unit down low or off because the room doesn't currently need "cooling". OR you could set the mode for "Auto" (the 4 arrows in a box) and it will automatically switch between heating and cooling modes to match your set temperature. Hope that helps!

    Does the remote have to close to the unit after the mode and temp is set or will the main unit retain the temp setting and run to achieve it

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  Год назад

      The unit will maintain the temperature it's set to until you use the remote to change it. So the remote does not need to be in close proximity to keep the unit running at the set temperature.

  • @bjtech00

    Thanks for the great videos. This is probably a dumb question, but I can't seem to find a straight answer. These remotes are sending devices only, correct? So If I use a remote from room B to change the settings on the unit in room A, the room A remote will not show the correct settings for unit A. Or if using the Kumo cloud, the remotes will NOT update to show the true current unit settings?

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  Год назад

      You have to set the temperature using the remote, and you can use the fan controls to control the speed of the unit. The unit will not turn off unless you manually shut it off. If the fan speed is set to Auto, then the fan will decrease to maintain the temperature it's set to, and then pick up when if the temperature changes. Please check out our Advanced Functions video for more control options.

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  Месяц назад

      Hopefully you figured this out, but for the benefit of others, you don't "pair" the remote to a wall unit. It's an Infrared remote, so you just point it at the unit and it should work. If you have fresh batteries, and the remote turns on and off while you're pointing it at the wall unit, but the wall unit doesn't turn on and off, you should call for service.

    When you change a setting on the remote, does the handler beep acknowledging the change? I have a wall unit that does not change the setting (even though it shows the change on the remote) because I have not held the remote in the exact position necessary to read the remote signal. The only way I know that it has not changed is that there is no movement from the handler. This is a pain in the you know what.

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  2 года назад

      Hello Sandy, yes a beep acknowledges the change has been sent from the remote to the unit.

  • @davesherlock1314
    @davesherlock1314 11 месяцев назад

    Does the remote need to be pointed at the wall unit when changing temperature setting or other settings? There is no indication on the wall unit to confirm the desired temperature for example. In other words, Can the remote and the wall unit be 'out of sync' ?

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  Месяц назад

      It's best to point the remote toward the unit you're controlling, as it's an infrared remote (so it needs line-of-sight with the wall unit). The wall unit should beep when you change a setting on the remote -- that's how you know it registered the change.

    In the auto system mode is there a way to set a high and low setting for a/c and heat?

      No, you would just set the temperature for the temp you want the room to be. You could leave it on 68 F all year round, or adjust that as needed (some people prefer something like 74 in the summer and 66 in the winter because we dress differently in those seasons, for example).

      If you have this remote, you likely have a unit that does both heating and cooling, but check with your installer. All "ductless" units cool, but only some units have the "heat pump" heating function.

    What is the highest/hottest maximum temperature? Mine goes up to 31 degrees Celcius. This only gives out warm air not hot.

    • @n.e.t.r.inc.2607
      @n.e.t.r.inc.2607  Месяц назад

      31 C is 87.8 F. That's pretty hot for an interior living space, and heat pumps aren't designed to cook you - just keep you comfortably warm. :-) We recommend that you set the temperature for the temp you want it to be in the room (usually around 20 C / 68 F). Since heat pumps draw warm air from the outside air (even if it's cold outside), the airflow is not going to feel "hot" like an electric heater (which uses a LOT of electricity, by the way). So it won't heat the room immediately, but it will get there eventually, and maintain that temperature without using very much electricity, which is why they are so efficient. Hope that helps.

      I just watched another video which said that in econocool mode the unit uses infra red sensing to find out where you are sitting, and aims the cool air at you. So it doesn't need to actually cool the whole room, just the spot where you are sitting.. And the guy said it will follow you to a new spot if you move. He did not say how many people the unit can follow at once, but since I am housesitting and I am the only person here, that does not matter!

    I just got this unit. When I have it in cool mode I can’t adjust temp up and down…it’s locked at 67 degrees. It must be locked in a hold mode or something…any thoughts?

      Hello Althea, you may want to check that your remote isn't set on a timer setting, as that sets the temperature independent of the normal mode. If that is not the case, we recommend contacting Mitsubishi Customer Care at 1-855-923-3631 for assistance.
