I love how Squall used to be annoyed by Rinoa but eventually came to love her so much that he literally walked a thousand miles and went to the end of time just for a small chance to save her. ♥️

As an ISTJ with a best friend ENFP in real life, their exactly like us. Squall doesn't think too far into the future. He logically analyzes situations based on the matter at hand and quickly comes up with a solution. He cares about the people on his team and can emotionally relate after growing a bond with them. INTJ doesn't calculate emotions well and see way into the future. Their also not great understanding people's emotions well. My other best friend is an INTJ by the way.
First, she annoyed him so much, but then gradually fell in love with her to the point he walked to the end of the earth for her so he had a small chance to save her from a terrible fate. I swear, Squall and Rinoa are my fave FF pairing after Cloud and Tifa

My all time favourite love story. Was 18 when I played FF7 (14 years after it came out) and loved it.
So after I finished it, I decided to give FF8 a whirl expecting it to be similar to its predecessor. Nothing could have prepared me for how much I would fall in love with these two characters.
10 years later, and I still love it.

Hi sonic, I'm very sorry for late reply. due to work on game contents at the moment. I just finish FF6 pixel remaster. Thank you very much for the compliment. I used to play this game when I was a kid but I play FF8 not the FF7, so FF8 is like giving me a feel that ff8 is the special game. Also several years ago I played FF7 old version and put it on my youtube. yes FF7 is really great game as well.
I love their whole love story but is there anything more romantic than the space rescue moment? I don't just mean in Final Fantasy but in the history of love...
Basically this video is all the romance scene story. also there is a moment where squall carry rinoa. It's also one of the greatest moment too. dance moment but unfortunately because of copyright matter, I need to cut that part otherwise this channel will also in the risk of getting termination.
Agreed 👍 I have seen tons of movies played tons of game but this love story gets me sobbing every single time.
I remember the genuine fear of Rinoa dying out there because in final fantasy stories main character might die and you know this if you played some or just one of the previous games.
The space scene and train tracks are both truly romantic scenes. There's just something with squall being the one that does all the talking and he finally comes out of his shell and we're reminded how far he's come. After this change it's much harder for him to hide again.
Combine that with him eventually finally commiting that win or loose, he loves her no matter what the outcome.
Rinoa is such a likeble, bubbly and funny character and such a perfect match to Squall.
They also share bravery but in different aspects which the lion ring symbolyses so perfectly. 🧡
I feel so bad knowing how many people will never play this game and miss out this wonderfully brilliant story.
just finished this game again (this time on Android as it was released a few weeks ago). Still brings back those sweet sweet memories. I was in school when this game came out.

I've now started final fantasy 9. Have never played it before...

I'm a bit confused by what Rinoa meant by this line, "Next time, we'll meet for sure!"
Does she mean the next time she has the same dream, she'll meet squall this time like literally? I can't help but think about the cutscene after they defeat ultimecia is the "dream" that Rinoa is referring to, where they were all running around trying to make their way back home in that time hole. And because they promised each other this time, Rinoa was able to find Squall and have the happy ending at the end of FF8. (Rather than being lost forever in that time hole / or time looping via the R = U theory)
But the way she words that sentence makes it sounds like/emphasize that she's been through this already, like wtf?
(Her expression when she found squall is also contradicting the earlier cutscene where she was frantically looking for squall at the promise meadow)
I didn't want to bring the R = U fan theory into play because there's no definite answer to what actually happened, but I feel like this line might play into this fan theory a bit. I could go on a rant about this but there are many other videos about this theory so I'll stop there.
she means in her dreams but it is kinda cool how it's echoed in the ending. Squall is facing his worst fear and rinoa facing hers.

To my mind the only one moment of romance between Squall & Rinoa is the night of the party, when they dance together and the second moment is at the end of the history :Rinoa is pointing out to the starry sky and Squall smiles at her for the first and the only time in his life.... Mmmmmm ,but it is just my opinion.

i heard that squall x rinoa were made based on cloud x aerith. in ff7, it was cloud x tifa, so they made squall x rinoa as a tribute for cloud x aerith too.. or so i heard.
