I've learnt more about the difference between switches in this two minute video with no words than most of the other explanation videos that are over 20 minutes, thank you.

Very helpful indeed

This is the perfect video for this type of review ! thank you very much :) I think I'll go with brown switches because I want my gf to be able to sleep when I'm gaming lol
I hate when videos don’t actually start for 1,2,4 minutes!
and I know they were not covered in this video, but you should check out cherry mx silent red switches if you want a quiet switch.
this is so thoughtful. i hope the browns worked out for you guys!!
Additional kudos for using the LED light in the background as a guide for which one was on screen if you didn't have text supplying it! A great visual cue on top of everything else 😊
Unless you're colorblind.
I thought that was a nice touch too.

Thanks for this really detailed and clear video... I have been searching for this kind of detailed comparison video ever since I bought my first mechanical keyboard with brown switches, just to see what I have been missing if any. I think I have made the correct choice as I like the tactile feel and relatively quiet keystrokes of the brown switches.
Thanks again.
This video is perfect! Exactly what I am looking for. No long intro and having to skim to find what I am looking for! I love then end where the three are looped back to back. Super helpful! Thank you!

Oh, thank you so much for this video!!! I'm very sensitive to sounds, so this helped me figure out what switch I wanted. I know it's an older vid but just had to pop in to say you rock!

Subscribing because this is the best representation of switches I’ve seen. Less talking, very short video but very informative. Thanks!
10/10 video. gets everything straight to the point as exactly as what the title said
genuinely helped me pick which switches I need for my starter keyboard, MUCH appreciated!
Very nice video, maybe the only video with no talking and straight to the point! Congrats!
Thank you for keeping things simple and clean.
This was the most helpful straight to the point video I’ve ever watched in my life
Great vid. I guess I'll have a set of brown ones as I appreciate having some tactile feedback (so not red) and also being able to type quietly (so not blue). Thanks!
Great demonstration!! Short and specific. Cool! Liked the last part most when you type on three keyboards in a loop.
The best comparison I have seen so far! The perfect way to understand the difference without the chitter-chatter!!
ive had a mechanical keyboard with very loud clicky sound for as long as i can remember( blue switches ). very recently switched to a keyboard with brown switches and man its such a delight being able to type without parents/roommate/girlfriend making comments about me being loud on the pc :D
This is the best explanation video ever. No talking just presentation and comparison~
AMAZING VIDEO, Great explanation, I had no idea on the difference between red blue and brown until you!

This was really helpful. I'm planning on buying a mechanical keyboard and there are a lot of details I have to consider. It confuses the heck outta me. Haha. You earned my subscribe. Keep up the awesome work!
I'm just getting into buying a mechanical keyboard and it's so difficult to navigate all the options. This is a great help. Thanks!
Very satisfying sound! Well done 👍
With brown switches and o rings you can have a tactile nearly silent keyboard which is perfect for live streaming or if you are a nocturnal gamer parent with young kids
Good to know
So you put small o-rings under every keycap well where it bottoms out?
Perfect. Straight to the point and no bs. Thank you very much.
honestly because of your vid its simple to put it that using large text for describing is much more better than a review that takes about 10-15mins of talking to review a comparison well done bro.
the lights' color changing according to the switch was a subtle but very smart detail!
Your simple desceiptions of each type is perfect for my adhd brain to comprehend 😂 thank you! It's only taken me about 4 years to find a comparison video that makes me *this* sure about what keys i *really* want..
So which kb have you had within those 4 years?)
thank you for making a straight to the point video and letting the keyboards talk. kudos to u brother!
I wish all comparison vids were like thissss. Thank you so much!
Thanks for making this video! It helps a lot :D I've tried both brown switches and red switches. I like red switches more because I can use it at home and at the office. But after using red switches for a while, I got a brown switch keyboard, and I noticed that when using it, I actually get a little more tired from typing. I'm a fast touch-typist, and I tend to be brutal on my keys, but I never thought that the actuation force thing would have an effect on my typing stamina :S
browns and red have the same actuation
So which one is less tired for typers? Red or brown??
@@acelinoreaper5629 " I got a brown switch keyboard, and I noticed that when using it, I actually get a little more tired from typing" --> Brown is more tired.
@@chrissizemore3424 yes same actuation so , bullshit ?
@@trakha1067 So you mean Red is good to go? Since I am more on typing works
This is perfect thank you! Seems like the brown and red are nearly identical but I've seen others swear by one or the other. Is it all in the bump you feel?
Love you for this video. It is of tremendous help for those looking to get a mechanical keyboard online and not sure.
Thanks for your video. Straight to the point. Helps me deciding which switches to get👍
This is definitely one of the better comparison videos. Short and to the point, but still covers the points people actually want to know and hear. Cheers.

Thanks for the video, very simple and informative. without unnecessary talks and intro. I like that.

I love you!! Thank you for making this clearly & useful comparison! It does help a lot 😊👍
thank you very much, for this interesting information lad helped me out alot!
I'd prefer the red switches the most just because it is perfect for gamers, it also sounds really nice. I don't really like loud and tactile switches. Brown switches are not the best but I would say it's the second best. Good video btw!
Easy quick comparison, thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Blindly liked and subscribed because of straightforward the video is. Absolutely loved it.
I sub'd u coz u made a informational vid in 2 min when others take so much tym
I'm binge watching short keyboard comparison videos at 2 am for no reason lol
I’ve only had experience with Blue Switches but recently I’ve been liking the sound of Brown switches. It’s like red but more round and whole with the typing sound.
Omg same
i’ve been wanting to get the blue switches, does the sound become annoying? or do you just get used to it
C the clicky sound of blue switches aren’t as bad as many people say honestly. As a programmer who spends most of my time on a computer I thought I wanted a kind of keyboard with that kind of feedback kinda like of a typewriter or something. I liked it and used it for a good few years before I passed it on to another worker who needed it. Time passes and I found myself spending more time on a computer for work and was looking for another good mechanical keyboard.
Doing some research and looking into some videos here made me realize the clicky sound of blue switches ISN’T really the one that I was really looking for.
My mother is an accountant and spending time as a kid around her while she was working I find her always clacking away with those really old and big calculators that has a printer built-in that prints the numbers on a small piece of paper similar to a cash register.
I would lul myself to sleep with the sound of those CLACKING keys that she types on the calculator. It was a very comforting sound to me and still makes me reminisce that nice wholesome sound today.
When I got the chance to do some research more on red switches and watching and hearing their typing test, I realized I wanted more of that CLACK than the CLICK!
the problem with red switches is you sacrifice the tactile feel that you get with blue switches. Then theres brown switches. Which are basically the same as the blue switches minus that CLICK sound.
That being said, I finally decided on getting an Akko retro keyboard with brown switches and I’ve never been happier with my purchase. If I can turn back time and had the chance to actually test, hands on, with the blue and brown switches, maybe I would have chosen the browns as my first mechanical keyboard.
To summarize, blue switches are okay, the clicky sound aren’t really as annoying as most people say, and you wouldn’t be missing anything BUT, if you get the chance, try out other switches if you get the opportunity to do so.
Good luck on your decision and let me know what you ended up buying!
Unboxed Experience thank you! that was so helpful! i’ll be sure to see if i can try them out sometime
@@itsquix1111 Blue switches are okay its just if you are in a work environment it might get annoying, if youre looking for a quiet and resposive feel brown is the way if youre a mixed person who do gaming and typing work then red is the best
...this is exactly the video I needed (short & sweet (and Satisfying!)). Thank you.
The best comparison video in all the internet, without a lot of unuseful talking! Great
Good demonstration. I have been using a velocifire tkl01 that I bought for around $20 for the last few years which has brown switches and to me it has been comparable to $60-$100 keyboards
@Zach E I have that same keyboard lol
I intended to buy brown switches but I ended up getting a good deal for a blue switches keyboard. The first weeks were awesome, the tactile and the sound were really satisfying, but after a few months I realized just how loud they are if you live in a house that practically doesn't have sound barriers.
Everytime Im using my keyboard and there is someone in the room besides mine, they CAN hear it. It's very stressful because I know it can be annoying for them. It got to the point where I started to get annoyed as well but I don't have another keyboard and this one is still functional and relatively new.
I don't regret my purchase since it was still a good deal and a good first experience, but If you're someone that might experience the same problem as me, I would recommend you either choose a different switch or keep your old keyboard to take a break from the sound once you start to get tired of it. Taking breaks on my laptop is what keep me from buying a new one.
What I was looking for. Thanks for this video.
The best video for aouncd checking of switches... just straightforward! no nonsense talking
I have the HyperX alloy as well. Perfect keyboard for World of Warcraft when using a headset, because you really feel the click and even still hear it over the sound. For office work or any more relaxed gaming however, that monster is just way too aggressive for me!
Thank You! This was so helpful!
This was actually extremely helpful! Thank you!

Brown and Red it's difficult to compare, but i have 2 options for you guys:
1. If you want a little more pressure and quiet you should choose Brown
2. If you do not like the pressure and only like quiet you should choose Red
For me personally i choose Brown because I feel Red does not feel every press down
Which is more quieter ??

I'm going for the blue switches. They're so satisfying :)
honestly the brown switch seems perfect to me, i don't want something too noisy, especially when were talking about the spacebar
it is quiet and it still has this nice tactile feedback of a mechanical keyboard. red switch is worse than a membrane keyboard. u can never know when it activates because it doesnt have any sound or bump feedback
Video that im looking for. No need 2 hours explanation. Thanks man.
Great video. Was searching the difference between switches and you provided the answer in such short video. Thanks! Subbed to support!
Sweet!
I would personally get brown switches. I like all of the switches though. I like the browns because they are nice and silent and they have the tactile feeling. I like blue switches also but the sound can get annoying sometimes. It's a satisfying sound I don't want to hear it all the time. Red switches are good but I'd prefer the tactile feeling. All of the switches are good, it's just based on personal preference.
