@4:50 you said sounds good but has some weird ass noise. Were you talking about some noise at like 1-2.5k rpm?? I installed test pipes too and am not sure if my exhaust is coming loose, flex pipes are shit, or the car just sounds effing weird with em at low rpm ??? Thanks

Honestly, just had to cut them off.
Drop the trans mount and let the trans sag the engine and use a ratchet strap to pull the trans to one side.

If I install test pipe with wrap onto a standard exhaust system will I have rasp and drone? I really am worried about my cats at stage 2+ but I don't want the cost of replacements. I don't really like rasp and drone, I prefer something more comfortable and daily driven. So the reliability of test pipe without the extra noise would be perfect if that's even achievable? Any chance I can pass emission if I flash back to standard tune for my mot test?
i would recommend checking out test pipes paired with high flow catted downpipes. not sure if you’d still pass emissions but it should be a great sound option. you could also gut the stock cats but that’s a great deal of work + won’t pass.
@@ninjastealth27041 year later and I'm currently installing test pipes and switching my stage 2 + tune to the test pile crackle pop tune with 034Motorsport. Hope it sounds good with wrapped test pipes and stock exhaust.

Had the AWE track exhaust but, it was to raspy. Has the the AWE touring exhaust now. With AWE resonated down pipe
Did you see gains? Or the owner at least? I am doing JHM x pipe and test pipes.
Jacob hauenstein not that much gains for you to notice. My buddy had to get test pipes all because his cats blew and clogged up it was bad. The test pipes and x pipe should sound good together test pipes alone have too much rasp
Where did you cut the stock ones to get out? And are you 6spd or DSG?
Also did you need a retune for the test pipes?

Need advice! I got the p0299 code :(.. I'm changing the turbo.. I want to atleat throw in a test pipe. And still be able to pass emissions. What are my options? switch back and forth the cat every year for emissions? Would that be a pita? Or is there a way to skirt emissions with the test pipe? Or should I not consider doing it at all and just swap the turbo and be done. It's for 2010 b8 A4. Thanks.
MILEHIGH JAX if you have to do emissions every year. I would suggest a high flow cat if you want want to pass emissions. You have the benefit of free flowing like a test pipe, also you will pass emissions because it still works like a regular cat.

You don't need to change tirbo you can cut, shorten and rejoin the wastegate rod and reattach to tighten the wastegate. This will likely fox your underboost condition. Look up the diy on audizine
@@kylet3589 that's so ghetto and won't last.. a new turbo will give better improved boost anyways. Do it right! Can't be a cheap ass driving an Audi.. you wanna be a cheap ass by a dodge or a Ford lol
