A small drill bit makes it 1000 times easier! No need to take the tail gate off. No need to move the radiator. Just look at the pony and or gt, estimate where the studs are, and drill them out. Took me 5 mins friend and rear. So much easier!
This is a fantastic idea - I just did mine today - and could not get the front one off with the radiator pushed forward - not sure how anyone could get their arms through - then remembered your post and carefully guessed the 4 places based on the new emblem and drilled - worked perfectly - thanks!
I was able to stick my pinky through the grill holes near the tail of the emblem and break the tab off. After that I simply used a plastic pry tool to gently lift the emblem off from tail to head.
White adhesive 5.0 emblem 2/$15. Black adhesive 5.0 emblem 2/$47. Black paint pen $1.95... btw CJ Pony parts had black lug nuts for $22 a set.. I have them on my GT350 wheels and they look great..Rock on Zander. Your production and audio is getting better all the time. Anybody here into the Goonzquad boys.. check them out. Lots of great and creative ideas on builds
When I swapped out my rear deck panel, I dropped two of the retaining clips inside. I was trying to remove the ones that remained without scratching the paint using a magnet, but I could not reach them... Unfortunately they dropped. OH...NO! I was freaking out because the noise of them bouncing around would not have been a life long hassle. Don't worry if this happens to you too, they are not lost forever. You will need to have the carpeted interior decklid panel removed. Then you can retrieve the clips or screws by quickly opening and closing the trunk a few inches until the two clips fly out. I am about to swapped my fender emblems now. Thanks for the video.

I'm taking a different approach by converting my daily driver 2017 Ford Escape Titanium Awd 2.0 to an ST like the Australian Kuga. Metal ST Petals, ST center wheel caps. ST seat logos and OEM ST badging from Ford. Ford badging is Expensive! I wanted something no one else has. I have a 93 Octane tune that I'm holding off on upgrading getting me from a stock 245 HP/275 ft lbs torgue at around 4000 Rpm to 300 HP / 325 torgue. My goal is in the area of 335 HP / 375 ft lbs torgue. The Escape weight is approximately 3500 lbs. My dealer informed me if Roush completes the mod including exhaust. My warranty stays. Otherwise. I'm told it's voided. Just wanted to share a Ford other than my Mustang. My current 18 GT Stang will stay stock. During my divorce several years ago, I sold my 95 procharger Mustang Cobra that had an R hood, R wheels, 4.11 gear's. Long tube headers. GT40 heads plus other mods that would fill up this response. It was close to a perfect Cobra R clone. I found out the hard way that the cost of to many mods are never recouped. The car was featured in Mustang magazine. I believe in 95, So no more over the top modifications or at least I'll set a budget. Thanks for your videos. Brings back good memories.

I also couldn't fit my arm in with the radiator pushed forward 18 GT PP1 so I drilled it from the front as someone suggested - great idea. I guess my guns are too big. Hahaa - I have way skinny arms - not sure how you did it.

I vinyl wrapped my front Pony in black, eventually it will get damaged from road debris, i.e. small pock marks in the wrap, but I don't want to fiddle faddle with the radiator etc.
I agree with you man it all depends on the rest of the car and personal taste.I gave a 16 gt prem. in Deep Impact blue with chrome American Racing gt-5s and chrome emblems and it looks great !
Alex...did you have to drill any of the holes (to make bigger) on the backing plate for the horse to fit? On CJ Pony's installation they talk about having to drill one of the holes. The middle one I think. Did yours just clip right on?

I was able to removed the side fender emblems with no problem. But I wasn't able to remove the front emblem. I just couldn't get to it. And I ended up breaking the tabs on the rear decklid panel. It's honestly not worth the hassle.
I agree you should opt with the more pricey ones with the black adhesive however mines still had the white adhesive and I supposedly bought the “ford oem” ones but it still came with the white white adhesive 😩 question did the red dot come painted on the 5.0 emblems or was it a piece of vinyl?
I got the Black OEM Ford GT rear deck lid emblem and it fell apart in less than 12 months! CJ sent me a new set so I guess this one will go in 12 months too! My side 5.0 emblems I got for $15 a pair on Ebay are almost 3 years old and no issues and they are from China...
Hi, when I was replacing my emblems, the front emblem I bought, It did not come with glue on the back. So I had to somehow fasten it with the clips that go on the pins. What I did was taken the under tray off and then I could easily reach with my hand and used a small socket to push the clips into the pins.

You could have satin painted it, would have been cheaper and even more classy! I guess I hate black gloss like you hate chrome. Even my headlights are painted satin black from inside incuding the silver projector ring...LOL.

everyone LOVES my race red. It looks very exotic. Kona is good too, but just very dark. I like the red bc it really shows the body lines.

I did not drill but it was a really tight fit. drilling might not be a bad idea

Plastic dip and glossifier would've given you same look but cheaper and faster.

it is painted. I know which ones you are talking about. I screwed up and bought those for the 18 when I had it. Lessons learned lol
