Hi Tim, that was the reaction I had with the R41 - I was actually quite worried about using it but was pleasantly surprised by the 2013 R41. I believe the 2011 version of the R41 was an altogether different beast, not that I've used one. You look a little younger without the facial hair, imo.
Interesting to see a video showing the R41 to be 'enjoyable' rather than be terrifying and a relief to see it over! Lovely detail on the fragrance. In a wet shave, I love a quality finish.
My first razor in Traditional WetShaving was a classic samurai Shavette and my first safety razor was *The Muhle r-41* when I started 11 months ago. ATM I have 6 more Vintage GILLETTES!!! Try a steeper angle or as they say “Ride The Cap” you’ll be surprised how more better the shave will be! You’ll get there bud practice makes perfect
Gentle and controlled shave, nice job. Used Face Fat lavender this evening very nice scent indeed. If you like interesting scent composition Tom Ford’s Lavender Exterme could be one to try.
Nice shave. I was also very apprehensive about the R41 due to all the hype, but I used one for several months before I moved on to others and sold it. I actually prefer something a little milder, but the R41 is a great razor.
I can understand that! I spoke with a guy yesterday, ex military, that refuses to shave BECAUSE of strict military grooming requirements 😂😂 so he went in the complete opposite direction lol.
As always, I loved the video...until you mentioned that the fragrance was packaged like a niche one. I’d like to see your niche fragrance collection. Additionally, Dior Homme Eau is similar to Prada L’homme and could be another option. Thanks for the the video
I would characterize this as aggressive, you can definitely feel the blade! But not once have I found this to be uncomfortable or unpleasant. Used it with a feather blade last night and loved it!

Yeah I seen the 2011 one on eBay and I was thinking about getting it lol

I prefer milder razors generally. But the R 41 shaves with no problem for me. Agree totally with your review on the R41.

I will DEFINITELY have to try that one, love Tom Ford

Clean shave looks good, ever since my time in the military I just can’t go more then a day without shaving, just feels wrong not to.
