Personnally, ever since I saw ianxofour's iron farm, I think I've built it close to 10 times and now know the build by heart. It's an insane and easy build
Edit: I didn't think I'd get to be the top comment for this video so I thought I would give some warnings and tips because a lot of people are asking the same thing over and over in the replies.
1. It DOES NOT work for bedrock. I don't know if it's possible to modify it to work for bedrock, but you're probably better off just finding a bedrock specific farm.
2. The zombie does not need a nametag! By going inside of the boat, it can no longer despawn.
3. There's a few reasons why the farm might not work, the two main ones are:
- If the farm works for only a few minutes and then stops, check that the zombie is down there in the boat. If the zombie is not in the boat or just isn't there (despawned) then you most likely forgot that the stairs do not start right after the boat but that you have to leave one block open, and then the stairs start. Rewatch 1:45 to understand what I'm talking about. This was a problem I had when I rebuilt the farm from memory and it took me a while to figure it out.
- If the farm doesn't work at all but the zombie IS in the boat, then chances are an iron golem spawned somewhere in the 16x13x16 box around the villager that they can spawn in, usually in a cave or if you haven't flattened out a the smalle area around the farm.
Hopefully those are helpful, and the last thing I can recommend is going to ianxofour's video ( ruclips.net/video/-oYyJ6jfSPU/видео.html ) and watching the video as well as reading the description since he usually puts important things in there. There's a lot more information in that video than in this one.

Ever since 1.18, the potential for slime farms has been nearly doubled, although fitting old farms around this concept is confusing. Slime farms can now be extended all the way to y-64, which maybe you could make a video about?

Will the zombie despawn in iron farm?
@@sricharanv9818 I'm not sure, but you can do 2 things, in survival mode, to prevent a zombie from despawning: Name the zombie with a name tag or drop an item to the zombie pick it up.
@@striker1253 today my zombie despawned even after naming it, and after i lured another zombie, he wasnt picking up any object
@@sricharanv9818 Only a certain percent of zombies have the ability to pick up items: 20% on hard, 7% on normal and 1% on easy. Zombies with initially naturally spawned 'rare drop' items (potatoes, iron ingots) don't count, it must be any item picked up after spawning.

I've seen a simpler design for an automatic crop farm. If you use a fence to divide the farming villager and the bait villager, the food won't get through and can fall into a hopper below.
So just replace the minecart with hopper and rail with a fence?

Dried kelp block and coal block: *crying in the corner*
Coal block is hard to get, you either need to mine it manually or have an automatic tree farm, but kelp farms are relatively easy to build and you can have it automated enough in a way that you only have to, every once in a while, take all the dried kelp from one chest, craft blocks, and put the blocks in another chest.
@@javito_an You can easily get a lot of coal from a wither skeleton farm. Also charcoal cant be crafted into coal blocks
Best fuel source (in terms of how easy it is to get): STICKS. Chop down some wood, craft planks, then infinite sticks, use sticks as fuel. You will never run out of sticks since they're so abundant, even in the desert (with the dead bushes).
@@1joaootavio Just smelting the planks is more efficient than crafting it into sticks, so it is counter productive (sticks are useful for bamboo farms or nether planks). Also don't destroy dead bushes for sticks, it isn't worth your time/effort and they aren't renewable so you might regret it later.
I love that how ShulkerCraft credits the original designers and builders, instead of just shamelessly stealing those. That's why I love SC ❤️

At first when I saw ianxofour's farm, I really didn't think it would work well. But after trying I am really impressed with the production rates of the farm(Two stacks of iron in 10 mins).. everyone should build this farm in their survival worlds

@@dotdankory I’m not saying that but when you look up “wither skeleton farm” shulkercrafts video on ianxofours design comes up before his own video. In my opinion that shouldn’t be the case since ianxofour has tutorials on his channel and it would just be easier to link his video instead of copying the design and giving him three seconds of credit and a mention in the description.
I’m not saying it’s just a problem with shulkercraft but that doesn’t change that they do it. If someone else did the exact same this I’d treat them the exact same way because it’s using someone else’s design for your own benefit without asking the person beforehand
Protip: Don't accidentally place down water inside the iron farm, for some reason the zombie and 2 villagers switched places and the third villager got killed, the farm kinda still works but it's also kinda broken

if you are building this iron farm make sure there is at least 20x20 of flat space I built it on a cliff and the iron golem all spawn at the side of that cliff instead of the farm

within 10 hours of playtime, you'd usually have that. maybe that's just my experience though.

My biggest let down when i played minecraft was the fact that my iron golems never spawned in my iron farm, i tried every type that i found but still couldn’t, since 1,16 -1.19
Look up a bedrock one. Java iron farms are exceptional easy. Bedrock has many more requirements to work.

Iron farm: I have made this one before and there is an issue that isn't addressed in this video. If you don't place buttons down on the ground where the boat is, the iron golem will eventually spawn in with the zombie and kill it.

Like I said in my initial comment, I have already built this farm. That includes the placement of the torches. Still, the zombie dies. This is due to the iron golem's spawning algorithm allowing golems to spawn on solid blocks with air above them. Golems can also spawn if there is a slab in the air above the spawning block. This means the golem can spawn between the zombie and beds where the slabs are, placing the golem close enough to the zombie to kill it.
The algorithm also doesn't check for adjacent block collisions (which is why the golem can spawn in the pit and die by suffocating in the floating stone blocks), so it's possible that the golem can also spawn beside the zombie, half in the wall, giving it a chance to kill the zombie there too. That being said, golems will not spawn if there is a collision with an entity (e.g. the boat, or the zombie), but that depends on the orientation of the golem when it spawns (hit box collision). As the boat doesn't extend under the slabs and there is some space between the boat and the walls, golems might be able to spawn there too.
In short, just proceed with caution and place buttons down on the floor (including under the slabs) prior to placing the boat to avoid this issue.

I feel like i had build his farm every time when I started new world in Java after I learned his farm
Heres some quick info: So on the potato farm it says 495 potatoes in two hours so if you divide that by the number of minutes(120 minutes)then you will have 3.375 potatoes per minute. Then you can check that by multiplying 3.375 by 120 which is 495(by the way im not that smart i used a calculator 😅😅😂)

I find the iron farm to not be too good, because you can just mine for iron in the early game and for late game, its better to have a good iron farm lasting you for days. The blaze farm was top notch and Imma build it RIGHT NOW!
The thing is this farm is completely afk. So rather than spend time mining you can do other things near the farm and still get iron

I tried the iron farm exactly as you did in the video and it does get iron golems to spawn but they seem to spawn every except in the pit with the lava. I suspect the issue may be that the farm is built next to a village that is on a cliffside so there are a few areas that might be closer to the villagers than the pit. I will try and fill those areas in with dirt but if that is not the issue then can anyone think of what the issue might be?

@@joeray4498 there are either caves around or the area around your farm isnt the same level as the trap doors, I had a lake close to my farm which caused the golems to spawn there instead of inside the hole, filling it up till the level of the trap doors fixed it for me

I have some problems with the iron golem farm that uses lava: Sometimes the golem will spawn behind the chest and suffocate, and sometimes a golem will spawn outside of the pit and just roam, not dying and not allowing another to spawn?
If they spawn above the pit, the villager isn't deep enough, raise the level by one all around (or build one deeper if you know beforehand). Spawning behind the chest is easy. Torch on every flat surface you don't want then spawning on.
I built the iron farm, nice design. For me it works for a while then it stops working. The zombie is still okay and I don't see any golems anywhere else. If I kill the zombie and get another one it works again for a 15min or so. I've got all of the torches where they should be, and I feel like the blocks are all as you've shown. It is not too far from the main village though there are no doors there and there are no other golems there.

That is so weird, I found that iron farm design yesterday, built it into my new world, and the very next day you released a video with it!
I actually prefer to build a fully automatic chicken farm over the carrot and potato farm since cooked chicken restores more hunger for the same inventory space. I just build an egg farm and then use the eggs that I get from it for the chicken farm.
I only automated my chicken farm once I learned how to get the dispenser to fire whenever it had items, which took embarrassingly long. It was just a comparator into a repeater, into a dirt block with a redstone torch to turn off a hopper clock, which itself had a comparator sending a signal to the same dispenser. Took me forever because I never used the redstone torch to invert the signal from the repeater, meaning I heard the dispenser clicking all the time and just broke the thing from frustration.
Maybe you know a better way?
@@imdekas Yeah you're right. But early on I still usually prefer to make the chicken farm as it's fully automatic, and then when I start working with villagers, I build a melon and pumpkin farm. But yeah I guess it's a matter of preference, and you're definitely still right.

Hello Shulkercraft! Idk if you guys are just playing on Survival but it would be very funny if you guys tested Bedwars or something else in hypixel.
Idc what anyone says, I love when you guys do this because you make it so simple I can hardly pay attention and know exactly what to do, other creators kinda make it hard to follow and build along sometimes plus it gives the creator credit and funnels people to that channel.
It’s actually the other way around. Shulkercraft directly competes with other creators while putting in a tiny fraction of the effort. They should get express permission from anytime they want to use a build, but they clearly don’t.

That moment when you instantly recognise ian's farm, one thing i have noticed about it is you don't need 6 beds, just place 3 underground the villagers will still manage to find a way to get to it somehow.
how do i get a zombie to stay down there? every time i trap one down there and go to sleep. when i wake up the zombie is gone.
@@jojanjayjo87 You should go watch his video for more detail, but you need to lure the zombie inside and get him to sit in a boat so he won't despawn. A minecart works too but it costs too many iron

@@Godzirra-San They only go to your beds if they can path find to it, so make sure that you didn't surround it with blocks or place it too far away, there must also be at least 2 (make it more than 2 to make sure) air blocks above the beds and the last reason is that if you're skipping night they won't go to that bed so make sure it was night time

Getting the golems to spawn inside the hole can be a little quirky, but a really great farm if you can only afford the 5 pieces of iron for the hopper.

I did have problems with spawning outside of the box though. Had to spawn proof a bunch of grass and put a fence around to keep the villagers from walking in. But even still, I'll probably do something like this from now on.

Personally a waaaay better infinite fuel are lava buckets, using stalactites to generate infinite lava as it drips onto a cauldron.

If you play on Bedrock, just use 4 wooden gates in the drop hole instead of vines.
