Is the portal farm going to work with the changes to mobs spawning in and around portals? I don't know if it's only hostile mobs or if the golem is included in that change
The 1 minute iron farm is fire!!🔥 I tried it out on my survival world. It worked well but iron golems started spawning outside of the hole too and just wandering off
The reason why that happens is because you dug a 7 block hole, and the iron golem spawning chamber was dug 2 blocks deep. Villagers will spawn iron golems up to 6 blocks above them, so that means the surface is just outside that radius, but the very bottom of the iron golem spawning chamber is within that 6 block vertical range. That means, however, that the surface around the farm must not have any low spots within range of the villagers. Even one block too low and iron golem will spawn there. Wherever you ended up digging out the villager hole, just make sure it looks flat all around it. The original design is meant to be as quick and cheap as possible. You can make it less picky about terrain by digging deeper or spawn proofing the area around it with slabs, path blocks, crops, glass blocks, etc. But then, it wouldn't be a Day 1 iron farm. It's probably still the cheapest working iron farm you can build in the early game, but you can improve it quite a bit once you invest that iron into upgrades.
Hey Shulker craft you can actually leave a two block gap between the portals because the hit Box of an iron golem is 1.75 blocks wide and the golem will always spawn in the middle of a block so if you leave a two block gap the golems are still gonna spawn and be teleported but u save up some obsidian in the early game phase! Have a nice day!

You didn’t mention it, but “1 minute farm” has a significant problem, at least in 1.19 Java. Golems constantly stuck in blocks of dirt, and player must push them out to the water. I used to have this exact farm, and it was not so pleasant at all.

Great video! What is the purpose of the zombie in the 2nd farm? I thought work tables were required for each villager for the farm to continue working.
I would assmune its so that the villagers get scared and that would trigger the iron golems to spawn. Thats why in the video when it got dark the villagers weren't sleeping.
Also this mechanic is why if you were to make your own village with villagers somewhere away from an actual village, iron golems would spawn. That is the purpose of the mechanic
For a complete starter I suggest first look for chickets and collect eggs. if you have a weapon don't waste it. Make a 3 high wall, throw an egg at teh gollem ( or snowballs if you spawned near it) and when the gollom comes near just keep punching , it will take time but worth it for the iron.
A starter will probably use a stone sword or an iron sword, litterly 2 cobblestone or 2 iron. Only a few hits and the golem is dead, its absolutely not worth the time as you can litterly get a stack of iron in 15 minutes if you find a cave.
Just build this firm. (10 min one). works grate but It was painful gathering zombies. Because the villagers starts to spawn iron golem in the bridge (For zombie) and I just lost 65 levels of xp.
