    I've bought 6 Harley Benton's this year alone, all shipped from Germany, double boxed. I have had the best of luck. 6 of the most amazing guitars I've ever played. 2 JA's, 3 teles, and their 25th anniversay strat. Now I want a ST62 same color as yours but in lefty (I'm backwards). Amazing guitars for the price range. I hope they stay the same price range.

      Wow, that’s great. I’ve bought 2 strats, 2 tele’s, the V, and an acoustic! They’re all great. I may try the Tube15 Amp next!

    I got 2 of their acoustics this year..both amazing for the $$! Also their 335 knock off last month. Quite lovely to play. They just needed a bit-o-fret end attention. HB's are fine but not for beginners..they seem to usually need some work to get them really sweet...though playable usually right out of the box. Am thinking of this one now...love the colour also. Thanks...good review.

      @@BonesJonesMusicMD If its any help, I have the HB35 plus, it's a decent enough guitar for the price and the extra few quid for the plus model is worth every penny to get the coil split and block inlays.

      @@BonesJonesMusicMD Oops..Sorry, I forgot it's also plus. ...as David pointed out, it's the 35+ I bought. He's right also about the coil split and inlays; well worth it.

    I've bought a few HB's out of lock down boredom. All of them came double boxed, with no damage. I've heard a lot of complaints about damage in the US, but here in the UK they come via UPS with package damage being very rare.

    You can get this exact guitar (HB ST-62MN Vintage Series) in a set with a guitar combo (20W), a solid padded Gigbag, Clip Tuner, Nylon Strap, cable and a set of picks (12pcs) all for 230 Euro! For a beginner, this is a fantastic value for money in very good quality...

    My te20 turned in two boxes and was fine . An lp 400 was double boxed and had a busted selector switch and it was orange not gold. Went back. Found one of these second hand for £79.....

    I am getting mine tomorrow. I don't have high hopes.. I actually became a luthier after my previous 4 Harley Bentons, who needed so much work to make them even playable.. Watch my reviews. I'll be back😎

      Awesome. I’ve had good luck with my HB purchases so far. I’ve bought 3 strats, 2 teles, 1 V, and 1 acoustic and they’ve all been very playable right out of the box except the most recent Strat had some sharp fret ends.
      Let me know how yours is!

      @@BonesJonesMusicMD Well, finaly I got my HB ST 62 VW! And I must say, It is my first Harley Benton With a real fine sound. It actually sounds more 'fender' then the Squier Sonic which I compare it to. You can skip the intro and all, as I always make crazy reviews.. I'm from Holland. We don't know 'unboxing' videos etc. Have fun!

    Bones, I bought the black one about a month ago and also had to shim the neck. I went black for two reasons one I already had a pastel yellow like that and I'm converting the black one into an Eric Clapton signature style guitar with the preamp in it. I also bought a te 90 and a t e 80 and all the next needed a shim to level them out. The Roswell pickups on the st62 sound pretty good as passive pickups but with the Eric Clapton amplifier in it they get even growlyer. I'm a video editing the mod series on my black one now which will probably be posted up on my channel sometime in early February end of January because there's so many guitar model or videos in front of this one. Hope you watch and subscribe on mine.

      Cool. Crazy that you had to shim the neck as well. I guess that’s one of the flaws for the low, low price. Looking forward to seeing/hearing yours!

      @@BonesJonesMusicMD Bought the same guitar last week. Neck pocket and neck it self are kinda all warped. Shims wouldnt do much good, unless i try to sand off both the neck and pocket it self. Even with high action i still have string buzz all over. Oh, and many frets are unleveled. Its a shame, its a nice lil guitar and price is still really low. I was expecting to have to put some work into setting up this guitar, its kinda must on even more expencive guitars, but im afraid this one is unusable without some serious wood and fret work, for wich i dont have right tools or experience to do. Sending it to some pro luthier would just cost too much money.

      @@ibanez7815 sorry to hear that! That’s unacceptable. I would be super bummed if I received mine in that condition. Did you get it directly from Thomann? Or somewhere local? Let us know what you end up doing with it and good luck!
      I’ve purchased 2 Harley Benton tele’s since this video and they’ve been great. Very little setup for both.

      @@BonesJonesMusicMD I had a friend who was coming from Germany for New Years, so he ordered guitar from Thomann and drove it to me. I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina, I also bought case for same guitar from Thomann, case came in perfect shape. Its just not worth the bother or money to try to send back guitar to Germany by any shipment , after all guitar was like 140 Euros. For now I lowered the action on it so i can at least play, even with all the fret buzz. I have other great guitars, so ill be just fine, but I did wish to make some upgrades on this one, to make it a great axe, also i love the look and feel of it, kinda reminds me of Malmsteens strat. One thing is for sure, Ill never buy another guitar by order, not unless i get to try it by my own hands 1st.

    Guitar builders have been copying each other since the birth of electric guitar. The kind of people who get all indignant about it wouldn't bat an eyelid about a PRS silver sky. In fact I would go further and say the budget range copies actually help the sales of the big companies. Very few people start learning with an American pro ii strat. The start with the likes of a HB and then aspire to owning the real thing. I'm not a beginner, but I own a PRS today because I was curious and bought a HB CST24T - I only had it 3 or 4 months before I splashed out on the real deal.

      I agree. If you’re going to buy a Fender someday, a HB isn’t going to keep you from that! They’re great intro guitars.

      This one isn’t routed for a traditional humbucker, but a stacked humbucker would probably fit.

    Is it better than squier?

    • @thenovicenoisemaker
      @thenovicenoisemaker Год назад

      I've had 5 of these now bud. Always liked them but a different feel to a Squier, neck radius is wider. I prefer these to the Bullet and Affinity Strats I've had but not as nice as the Standard, Deluxe or Classic Vibes

    • @BonesJonesMusicMD
      @BonesJonesMusicMD  Год назад

      I like this guitar better than most Squire’s because of the neck. It’s got a roasted maple feel and the fretboard is nice and easy to bend on. There are a few Squire models that feel great but I don’t know which models they are off hand.

    • @thenovicenoisemaker

      @@BonesJonesMusicMD I guess it’s down to preference of feel. The Classic Vibe sound fantastic but narrow tall frets and sticky neck not for everyone.
