    Run CMD, Is Linux+ worth getting? Can you get a entry level support job with it? Working on my A+ now. Would like a work from home. Not a lot of IT jobs in my area of the USA. I don't have a degree. No IT experience yet. Only community college classes and certs. CompTIA considers those two certs A+ and Linux+ stackable, not sure what employers think.

    Awesome I graduate with my Bachelor’s degree in May and I’ve learned programming, VM, and some cloud stuff. I guess after graduation I’ll have to get my comptia certs and CCNA. I would like to get better with Python scripting. I’ve done some automation in Linux but I want more practice.

    How do I set up a virtual home lab? Or is a physical home lab set up still essential?

    • @Itcareerquestions
      @Itcareerquestions  Год назад +4

      For a virtual lab all you need is Virtual Box or VMware Workstation Player and an operating system .ISO file or two.
      If you want to learn more about networking you can throw Cisco's Packet Tracer into the mix or another program called GNS3. both of thse programs help you virtualize network equipment from your computer.
      You can also do a lot of this stuff in the cloud to act as a "virtual home lab"
      You don't really need the physical home lab anymore like you used to. It can definitely help a ton, but not everyone will have access to that type of equipment/it can be hard to obtain due to funds/etc. Everything can be virtualized.
      Good luck to you!
