Thanks for the video. I ended up ripping the old speaker out of the plastic casing and then trimming it and screwing my new speaker into the old plastic case instead… then soldered my new speaker wires on to the back of the plug so i could just plug it back in and stick it right into the door. I appreciate you showing how the door panel goes together!
Save time by buying Scosche SAGMHR634 adapter pair $11 and Metra 72-4568 Speaker Harness $8 both from Amazon. This is what Crutchfield recommends for my 2012 Malibu. I installed a couple 6.5" replacements and they fit perfectly with no hacking, soldering or drilling.
Just found your channel last night. Great channel bro. Lovin your Sierra stuff. We have that shared experience of workin on vehicles that have seen multiple Canadian winters lol! showed me how I'm gonna lift the box off mine by myself! Thanks for your videos!
Not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you're stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my brother for the last weeks :)
hi there..is this speaker for turn signal and stereo? because i have problem with my chevy malibu 2010..the ticking sound for turn signal and hazard has been off together with the stereo speaker. just want to make sure what speaker would i buy for both..thanks.
@@MudRFunR hi..what i mean is that i dont know what exactly is the correct speaker for turn signal to have a ticking sound..that i need to change for sure it is common with car stereo am i right..i am sorry i am novice in automotive field..
If your turn signal isn't working I had the same issue. After taking out the manufacturer radio I had to get a control box with my new radio for it to control the turn signal noise and steering wheel controls. That might be your issue as well. Hope this helps
My Door lock arm came off from its assembly inside of the door, and the 3 torx screws stripped out during speaker replace/regulator install job last weekend. Any advice? I guess drill out and replace the screws, get to the assembly, reconnect and reinstall? Great videos BTW!
@@MudRFunR have not tried a different type; was going to try flat head tomorrow; also, have a small metal disk saw attachment for portable drill as an alt method to drill... need source for replacement factory-style screw, too.
Man I just installed the left front speaker and I looked online one of em said my gray wire is negative witch is how I installed it and then some said gray is positive stressed me out hopefully yours is like man
Didn't say why he was changing speakers. Chevy malibu's have issues with front speakers not working, only hearing the tweeters. Is this why he did the replacement?
I hope i never have to replace any major components. Because to change a bloody speaker requires the door being dismantled, and to change a headlight requires the whole front end being removed. Who designed this car?? A fucking puzzle box enthusiast??
I did trying to pull the fucking trim panel to replace my radio 😂 shit was just old and fragile, pissed me off but I ain’t throwing 60-80 bucks on a new piece of plastic, just going bare ass rn, and to compliment it the dash kit I ordered didn’t even come with the right parts, so the radio just chilling in their looking all uncircumcised and shit lmfao
mans out here doing God’s work
Thanks!

Hello, I have a question. What colors are the positive and negative from the right side?
I've been looking for this answer as well
Usually, the positive is one color and the negative has a different color line.

Good to hear from a fellow Canadian. I'm in Ontario. Glad you like my channel, hope you subscribed!
@@MudRFunR I certainly did. Love the channel.

@Kenneth Vivaan Definitely, been using instaflixxer for since december myself :)
How do you wire then by color or?
well done, I will be attempting this in a week or so. Much appreciate your time and effort to put this on YopuTube
Hope all goes well for you!
Is there a connector for the trunk release button?
So a 6x5 want fit?
Yes i will be doing this myself whenever i decide to
Hello, huge question. Do you happen to know where the ambient temperature sensor is located? Mines went bad, and for my life, I cant seem to find it.
I honestly don't know where that sensor is. Sorry
@@MudRFunR no worries! I appreciate the response, hope you are well!
Hey Abe. I think if my speakers were bad, I would change them in the summer. Nice work on the install. Thanks for sharing.🍁🍁👍
Funny thing. I bought my wife those speakers for Christmas. Then for mother's day I installed them. 2 gifts in one.

Size of the spkear?

I can’t get the rear speakers on a 08 Malibu to play sound
Great video, thanks for posting.Very helpful

I don't think it matters what brand of speaker you buy as long as it fits in the door. I used a 6 1/2" speaker.

@@freshpipes38 You should be able to use any speaker. Signal sound should work with any speaker.

@@aghstarheel I had no idea an aftermarket stereo would do this. Thanks for sharing!

Yes you could drill them out. Have you tried to find another type of screw driver? Maybe an allen head socket might work if it's already stripped.??

I'm not 100% sure if the grey is negative. My son has the car now. Speakers still work with the grey as negative.
@@MudRFunR okay cool we’re probably just gonna run new wire through my whole car but I’m using that for now

No, the speakers were vibrating that's why I replaced them.

pliers will destroy the connectors
with those holes there will be no bass
That is NOT how your properly mount a speaker. There is going to be no mid bass.
Sounds good enough for a basic factory stereo. Yes, I could have done better.
why does it sound like he breaks everything he touches lol
