@@dadrester Thank you for your reply! 🙂 I know you're British, but I thought maybe one of you had been to the US for a semester or two as an exchange student. Btw, does the DLC for the regular, Steam version work with the VR version?
Based on many hours of experience with the original game, you really need to ignore the laundry and start playing the games right away. The games will make you ten times the money the laundromat will, DON'T devote any time to the wash.

Already platinum'd the regular version last year and remember it having some frustrating trophies. But I enjoyed the game enough to persevere through it. Also remember enjoying most of the songs on the jukebox. Only $10 for the VR upgrade so I'll jump back in sooner or later. Originally played this back-to-back with Paradise Killer, a retro-style first-person open world mystery game that also had an amazing soundtrack. Would love for that to get a VR upgrade too someday.
I just noticed in the PS App, if you go to the little rocket ship icon thing where it gets you to Official News, the tile that says Arcade Paradise VR out now… if you click Learn More it opens the PlayStation web store and it has the individual game there BUT the link brings you to the UK site only. @w1ldone573 I did buy the $50 bundle just because It comes with all the DLC cabinets that you can't get with the base game. I got a bonus at work, so I had the extra cash, plus I took 2 days of vacation just to pay this.

I absolutely loved this game on the Quest 3. When I heard it was coming to PSVR2, I stopped playing and waited for that version. Sounds like it was worth the wait since it has some things the Quest version is missing like actual people in the arcade (unless they changed that after I stopped playing). Plus I'm sure the colors pop on the OLED display. Definitely getting right away. I don't mind buying the game twice as this game is awesome!
Does this one also have the Konami code that unlocks "Golden washers" which always net you the max amount of money no matter how long you take? if so I may have to double dip and buy the VR one as well.
@@ElephantTrap That I did :D (it's also a trophy though). In VR it doesn't make as much of a difference as timing is no longer an issue. We removed the mechanic where you have to be fast to get an S-Rank and replaced it with a much more chill loop where you just need to get the type of wash right.
@dadrester ooh cool. Really looking forward to this game later this evening. I can already imagine this with online. Spending time in eachothers arcade hall, playing together or just hang out. Maybe a possibility for the future 😊
This seems to be everything I’d want in a game. 90’s setting and music, some form of management/upgrade/growth system(s). Time to buy immediately! 20% off on the US store for PS+ owners so even more incentive!
Great review, Bryan! Question though - the game doesn't seem to be available in Canada yet, it's only as part of a three game bundle. Would you consider $39.99 CAD for Arcade Paradise VR, Tin Hearts and The Last Worker to be a good deal?
I'd hold off until the store updates and you can get Arcade Paradise VR on its own for about half that. The Last Worker was okay but Tin Hearts was meh.
I don’t know if owning the VR version allows for flat screen play, but if you buy the flat screen version the VR version price goes down to $9.99 so with the current sale it’s actually cheaper to buy both.
@@WithoutParole ok, now i see the vr version for 9.99. I guess it was a bundle for flat and vr for 30, without the upgrade discount. Still 30 for that bundle is a good deal
Let us know how far you expand your "Laundry Laundromat Paradise". Does Kate Upton show when you max out the Laundromat to Laundry mat Sauna steam-Room?!?! -_^
Unless there's been a patch that addresses this I believe the autosave kicks in at the end of each day or the beginning of the next so if you quit (the option should be on your tablet) make sure you do it then so you don't lose progress
How do you buy it cause the link on the official trailer leads to a bundle only. Is it cheaper to buy the original game then buy the VR seperate? But how do I buy the VR upgrade?
I'd hold off a bit. There was a separate listing for Arcade Paradise VR prior to launch, it just hadn't reappeared on the PlayStation Store yet. EDIT - it's back up now with a 20% launch discount for Plus members ! :D
you said the haptics was great. Can you specify exactly what you felt? Have you played this on the quest 3? Are you talking about the triggers or just the rumble? How much better is it than quest 3, if at all?
on quest3 u get to feel haptics every time the quest battery dies so to keep playing u get to throw the quest controllers against the wall to go buy psvr2. lol. :)
Im not sure whats wrong with my game. Only 15 minutes in, I cant do anything besides play the 3 games. I was just starting the tutorials, too. Last thing I did was empty the change drawer, but the prompt to do so stayed up after I emptied the money, only disappearing after playing a game. Now I cant do anything and there isn't a "quest marker" or the next tutorial ,which I think should have been putting the money in a safe? Idk but I cant do anything
Hey. Are you sure you emptied all machines? There are the 3 arcade machines in the back room during the tutorial and also the laundromat token machine. Gerald should call you and tell you to "remember to empty the token machine and put the cash in the safe". It's just to the left as you exit the backroom and head back into the laundrette.
Thanks, I had already contacted them. I figured out what was going on- So it appears the ps5's "resume game" boot up option doesn't play nice with the game. I ended up shutting down the ps5 and launched the game normally (clicking the game icon/card on ps5 hub). I immediately noticed on the home screen "new game" and not continue/load game. So I decided to start over since I was only in the tutorial anyways. Everything works as it should, plus there were more assets in the game. Books of cards, npcs, and other items. I've had "continue game" issues in the past. More flat than vr but issues like this nonetheless.
@dadrester I appreciate the suggestion. There was no option to drain the cabinets, only the change machine's. This was caused by my comment regarding "continue game"
@@J-SinI'm the game director by the way. This is a new one to me. You're saying that you suspended the game on PS5 during that section (where you have to empty the 4 hoppers) and when you went back in, 3 of the 4 arrows were missing?! If so we'll get QA to try and repro.
Can't interact with a ton of stuff (like pressing x for computer chat halfway in vid, and almost no controller/drink grabbing) and pretty buggy (weird screen tearing or air hockey computer looping itself). Surprised people are happy to double dip when stuff like demeo or cave digger lets you play non VR free. There's potential with what works (save in tablet forcing a quit is annoying too rather than intuitive autosave) though crazy that cleaning the toilet doesn't let you soap/wash your hands.
@dadrester I've played it and what interactions? You can't even clean with cleaning products nor 2 hand the toilet cleaner properly. You also should have to maintain the dryer/washing machines, but do tell me if that happens later on since I've only done 3 days. That tablet can accidentally make a player hit their controllers together too with how close the hands have to be, let alone who would go to quit to save the game in this autosave day it actually lacks? Trash is 1 hand and disappears by letting go (not putting in a receptacle) until it fills the bag to magically appear and you play basketball with the dumpster. You also don't fold laundry nor interact with the keyboard/mouse in addition to the controller/drinks I mentioned. It's patched on and kinda a ripoff given you pay a tax to get VR, and need a bundle for non VR. Any VR optional game doesn't rip you off like this. It can be fun when getting better arcade games, but is nowhere as intuitive as power wash simulator, which I doubt will ever have a PSVR2 release.
thanks dude, literally went over it perfectly and now i’m gonna buy it cuz of you. and it’s on a lil sale, 15.99, can you review the new game that came out called “Compound” it looks like doom
Absolutely. After the first couple hours you pretty much never have to do laundry again - and I probably spent way more time doing it than necessary. You can get to the Arcade stuff way sooner than I did :D
The arcades games that are not fun, in all fairness i used to hang out at arcades and there were games that were just just not fun, so on that it gets i right imo. And if you say Strike Gold. isn't fun I'll be over to have a few words.
yup. Long time VR vet here who plays GT7 for hours in PS VR2, Roller coasters, free motion, all no problem, but this, I had tp put on click turning and still nope. Going to keep at it though. It started to get interesting buying new games.
Already around 28% into the game and I agree with everything in that review. What a sweet little gem for a 80s kid.

@@PrenticeSummerscales Nice, that's better than nothing. Hope to see the rest in the future. Thanks for the clarification.
It does. I asked the devs a question and after they answered they send me another tweet with a cheat code 😅
Try hitting refresh now. I've been told North America has updated.
Retro kid so I'm getting this for sure.
Thanks for the review 👍!
@WithoutParole This game is a distressing reenactment of my childhood, where I used my dad's laundry coins for video game tokens.😵💫
Do you have to buy the flat version and then buy the VR upgrade or can you just straight up by the VR version?
U mentioned a discount if we own flat version ?
Played a fair bit on Gamepass and had a blast. Certainly on the list for a future purchase.
Let’s gooo!
I don’t know if owning the VR version allows for flat screen play, but if you buy the flat screen version the VR version price goes down to $9.99 so with the current sale it’s actually cheaper to buy both.
Aewosme have been looking forward to this for a while. Held out for the PSVR2 vs just getting it on Quest.
The flat version was great but paused playing when i heard it was coming to VR. Can't wait to jump back in
On my to buy list right now!
How do u get the upgrade if you already own the game? Right now I don’t see an upgrade path.
The base game is $9 but I own the high score version and that one is like $40 something dollars. Feels wrong
Is there a demo version?
Playing on quest 3 and the wonky controls are there aswell, but the game is still fantastic 👍🤘🍻
This game needs real arcade machines via emulators.
I'm absolutely buying this
Why is tjere a bundle for aracde paradise, tin hearts, and the last worker,.. all for the same price as arcade paradise by itself?
Oooh nice find. It's $30 though and currently Arcade Paradise VR (by far the best game in the bundle) is less than $20 with the launch discount.
And 10 euro when you already got the PS4/5 version. A no brainer.@@WithoutParole
@@WithoutParole ok, now i see the vr version for 9.99. I guess it was a bundle for flat and vr for 30, without the upgrade discount. Still 30 for that bundle is a good deal
@@AndrewEhrenreich I think (but please don't quote me on this) the full Arcade Paradise pack contains both flat and VR but also all the DLC for flat.
Teleport walk? Demo?
I'm absolutely running that Laundromat for fun. 😅
Let us know how far you expand your "Laundry Laundromat Paradise". Does Kate Upton show when you max out the Laundromat to Laundry mat Sauna steam-Room?!?! -_^
Oh no your hand gets stuck in the washing machine you say? 😏
So is this out now? When I look in the Play Store I'm only seeing what I think is the flat screen version and some DLCs
In some places it is. Here in the States I don't think it's officially out yet. EDIT - it's out now with a 20% launch discount for Plus members
I still like carnival games so I’ll love this
oh man I played the HELL out of Carnival until I unlocked every prize and accolade. So much fun in VR, and super "one more go" addictive.
@@hsss1 my favorite is horseshoes and ringtoss
Does the game come with the original games DLC?
6 VR-exclusive cabinets feature in this version.
Maaaan, there goes $15 🌬💸 #purchased
Getting soon as get a new VR
Is there no way to open a menu to save and exit? Iv pushed all buttons
Unless there's been a patch that addresses this I believe the autosave kicks in at the end of each day or the beginning of the next so if you quit (the option should be on your tablet) make sure you do it then so you don't lose progress
@@WithoutParole i guess I don't know how to open the tablet haha thanks for the fast reply tho man
How do you buy it cause the link on the official trailer leads to a bundle only.
How much better is it than quest 3, if at all?
on quest3 u get to feel haptics every time the quest battery dies so to keep playing u get to throw the quest controllers against the wall to go buy psvr2. lol. :)
Will buy immediately. Thank you!
I passed your message along to Nosebleed Interactive --- if I hear anything back I'll let you know!
I figured out what was going on-
So it appears the ps5's "resume game" boot up option doesn't play nice with the game.
It does in VR
I played it on Xbox I loved it
thanks dude, literally went over it perfectly and now i’m gonna buy it cuz of you. and it’s on a lil sale, 15.99, can you review the new game that came out called “Compound” it looks like doom
Sure! ruclips.net/video/CE85xif_UY0/видео.html
damm this came out at the wrong time i just purchased the pc adaptator... half life alyx or arcade paradise? think the choise is easy made
It's also coming to Steam VR in... 1 hour and 14 minutes!
Both games are on sale (if you have PS Plus) so it sounds like a great double bill to me.
Nice
Skeeball?
In this universe The Matrix was released a decade earlier!
Can my step sister get stuck in a dryer and need my help to get out😂?
Can I transfer my professs from my ps5 version to this
No, the save files are separate between both versions.
@@PrenticeSummerscales ah okay Ty so much

lol vr within vr ❤
Haha right? You should check out VVR: Virtual Virtual Reality. It's that concept times 10 :D
It there a point whet you can just play the games, and not do laundry anymore?
Absolutely. After the first couple hours you pretty much never have to do laundry again - and I probably spent way more time doing it than necessary. You can get to the Arcade stuff way sooner than I did :D
@@WithoutParoleafter a longer while you break up the washing machines completely and only keep the arcade. A BIG arcade.
@@eldalymorningstar oh i'm aware lol. I rolled credits 2 days ago. super satisfying :D
Just bought this for quest 3......
Its ok, but i tried to refund it....but i missed the refund window......
So im stuck with it...😊🔥
I'm planning on buying this for my Quest 3 as well. What didn't you like about it? Was it different from the PSVR2 gameplay seen In this video?
this game is not what i thought it was at all , lol
The arcades games that are not fun, in all fairness i used to hang out at arcades and there were games that were just just not fun, so on that it gets i right imo. And if you say Strike Gold. isn't fun I'll be over to have a few words.
Ohhh this one has really peaked my interest!
Anyone else get motion sickness playing this? Very few VR games make me like that. 🤮
yup. Long time VR vet here who plays GT7 for hours in PS VR2, Roller coasters, free motion, all no problem, but this, I had tp put on click turning and still nope. Going to keep at it though. It started to get interesting buying new games.
And first
