Improvised weapons found in an alley that can be used to strike, block, deflect, deter and distract. Get our very best self defense tips for free here: selfdefensetutorials.com/get-f...
Doesn't need to be trash you utilise, I knew a girl who was jumped and she used her mobile to strike the attacker over bridge of nose. He let go, she ran, phone wasn't even damaged much, slight crack but she got away. Or you could use a tumbler from a bar if you got it at hand, a rock or stick, anything. Everything can practically be utilised as a weapon
Using objects can be the difference between living and dying. There was a guy in a london stabbing that survived because he threw chairs, bottles, and anything he could get his hands on at one of the knife attackers.
@@justinriley8651 Yeah. But they cross the border to dump their trash cans in France, so that they don't have to pay for it .. That's Swiss: clean on the surface, not so clean inside. (remember: They host 80% of the world dictators fortunes, but they state that they are neutral.)
GREAT vid! Something I learned a long time ago, that I tell people new to self defense/seeking advice on personal protection weapons is "anything you can pick up and use against your adversary can be a weapon"!
Even just things on you aswell as around you can help too. Like an umbrella as a stick to strike and stab with, or if it's one of those telescopic ones, a yuwara stick. A flashlight can do the same job, with the added bonus of temporarily blinding them in the dark. Doesn't even have to be one of those huge maglite ones, just a well built small metal one. Thanks again Stephan, I'm fairly new here and I sometimes watch the grappling channel too, both are very informative and practical and I also love your sense of humour too! :D
This is how i've always thunk ever since 2006. Think the Warrior's when they were under the boardwalk, just before the final scene of the movie. When they started just ripping stuff off the wall and pallets. Everywhere i go, i'm always scanning my environment for potential improvised weapons to use, just incase. (And how it's best used). Even if i'm already carrying something on me. It's good to know theirs always something else you can use in the surrounding area.
In my home country Dominican republic, they're pretty good at this, I witnessed a fight one time one of the guys was holding a long piece of wood and the other one a rock on each hand, some savage shit my friend.
Nice video, very informative, to folk who know how to improvise weapons, should know the oath "do no harm to innocent ones", Just defend yourself and other from any physical threat. .. aside from that anything can be turn into a weapon if you learn and know how to use it.
Some of the comments are quite hilarious, rightly so. On a serious note, the best self-defense weapon you can carry with you everywhere which needs no permit and is absolutely legit is a walking cane. Learn how to use it first.
Belt. You’re likely to be wearing one most of the time. You can use it to swing around, or to cross choke with, a yoga stretching strap is also handy for the same function. More importantly, you can’t get busted for carrying either. A pocket sized hand held torch. A light emitting device is always handy for general use. You can use it to shine in their eyes as distraction, or stub someone with it pretty easily.
the advice about glass bottle is great but not everywhere outside of Canada do people sort their recyclables :'( also, did you get in trouble ransacking the neighborhood's trash? :P
Actually, in Japanese, «Kara» means both «empty» and China. So the original meaning of Karate was the hand from China, which they replaced with The empty hand in 1922.
Most of what I need is on my person. The only thing I would utilize over my edc would maybe be a long branch or a handful of sand. If it gets to the point to where I need a brick, I'm gonna shoot.
Nice neighbourhood for self defense, but you know many areas are not drowning in trash :)
I think thats when you grab someones mailbox or potted plant, or possibly cat o.o

I played 2:59 five times. That was cool!
That kind of fight is not possible in Switzerland. At best you can find a pebble on the ground (on a lucky day).
