This just isn't true. The mental issues with him only started happening in recent months. Im guessing its because hes getting closer to 80, the lack of sleep due to all of the trials going on, while still campaigning around the country. This also could be a side effect of some drugs/medication he's on to help him get through the things above as well. Who knows really.
Joe Biden is the one who had obvious cognitive decline for years to the point where his administration and the media would constantly pan away or cut the segment/interview short.
