I have POTS and hyper POTS. I Also have MCAS. When my mast cells release shorty after I feel the POTS. Having dealt with this for some time I believe the POTS is in response to some type of reaction the mast cells are responding to. It’s almost like my body is producing the norepinephrine is response to the mediators. Just like self injecting an epipen. I get wild swings in BP. I think the mast cells cause a sudden drop in BP triggering a chain reaction. The automatic response would actually be called for, not dysfunctional.
