It's worth noting that the Gatling Plasma build shown in the video is using Stinging Core Receptacle and Accelerated Nozzle mods. Both of these are new mods that dropped with this update and has a low chance of dropping from either government air drop or the nuclear keycard cargobot. Happy farming.
Just to add in case someone sees this without doing any more research: plans also drop from the Collision Course box, and the loose mod boxes can be purchased from Watoga Station , Super Duper Mart and Berkeley Springs Station vendors. Still a very low chance on all of them but all of the above will let you maximize your chances.
I've seen so many different ways to play this raid. Overeaters, Troubleshooters, Union armor, any armor will do. But the common requirement is Bullet Shield, you don't have that you're screwed.
@marcschow Herbivore is better for damage. Carnivore is better for carry weight. It's not very surprising that turtle is a carnivore. You absolutely should be a herbivore though if carry weight isn't an issue for you.
Hi Angry, just a question, pls help. How many specials do you have in luck with this build pls? 15+5 from legendary and 10 from pa + 3 from herd mentality? This how i achieve 33 on luck. And how you will build vats commando build pls? There you need 10+5 to be able to run all damage cards include tank killer, ground pounder and 1 star vats card. Or you will reduce ground pounder for example or tank killer to have more points for endurance for example? Hey Turtle, I have been working on my build a few days. I can duo full complete raids now with my build. (Only need duo to defend the drill) Watched your build video and raid guide video. I have noticed a few inefficiencies and ways to improve. Big ones are your poison resistance is too high. Replacing with AP refresh and jet pack can make the last boss trivial. Also moving away from Plasma to the Guass mini will mean you don't have to worry about vats use at all. Taking a standard holyfire with zealots reflect armour is all you need to easy solo the 1st boss. In regards to mole miners stage 2, I would recommend simply charging through with the stagger and using a jetpack on the armour, they cant touch you. Holyfire and gauss mini have definitely the raids easy, only problem I have is ammo efficiency, but that is easily compensated by having decent randoms join the team, most people I play with seem to just die instantly on the boss.
Love this build! Was able to get to all stages and NOT be first to die, for a change! (Blasted snake kicked my butt but I'll get it in the end.) Thank you so much for all you do!!
This gives me a good heads up, as to what I'm going to be doing with my perk card loadout. I've also made an explosive Troubleshooters Gatling plasma, with durability, for the century bots.
Plasma caster crit build in power armor worked for me up to the snake. Can't do much after that. I can vats the eyes for 8900-9400 on average and get about 25% of his health off before he spits the first acid & 1 shots me.
Would it not make more sense to have a PA set for each stage, if we know the typing of the enemy? Snake is an animal so 75% animal damage negated would help a lot compared to Overeaters.
For luck as an alternative I chose : 4 legendary special instead of 3 (change of PA reboot for funky duds for last boss, I don't want to move legendary specials when not in raid), max luck perks + luck legendary perk for 20 points, and for my 2 PA : 2 pieces with luck, 1 piece with AP regen (best benefice value for the first piece + company tea) ), 2 pieces with agility (more VATS) + seared venison with berries : so 18 luck (base+mutation) + 5 extra luck + 7 food (7.5) + 2x2 in PA = 34 luck, I reallocate 1 luck for 33 with perk points machine.
At least I found a build, but it doesn't help that I basically needed to have built my character specifically for the raid from the beginning of the game.

How’s bloodied build ? How are these enemies compared to earl ? I can stand next to him the entire fight and rarely lose any health . Bolstering , strength , sentinels with emergency protocol seems to be pretty good health wise. Or is bloodied a terrible idea in the raid?
gl I have tried the first boss solo team, bloodied union with emergency protocole + max endurance in 2* and max endurance in perks, no way to survive long without vampire gatling plasma (with AA/B almost impossible). Ofc, it's not that difficult in team cause not focus on one person but that is hard anyway. Not sure staying bloodied bypass the confort of being full health in this scenario. Edit : just to mention that I didn't have dodgy, but dodgy/vats not a good symbiosis anyway.
What's a good heavy gun to use with this build for just everyday mobbing. I've been running a commando build since I started playing the game, never used heavy guns until this. I can't hit a thing with the gatling plasma and don't yet have a fourth-star mod to improve its accuracy. So what's a good daily driver heavy gun that's both power and accurate?
Turtle my aunt armor, explosive pepper shaker does amazingly well taking the shield off that first robot I’m thinking it must be the explosion because explosive damage shot is more effective against that thing at least against the shield
I have AA/Explosive/-25AP and with Demo Expert. Does demo expert work with explosions for Gatling Plasma? I don't see a dmg boost on the PipBoy so I'm wondering if it's a visual bug or it doesn't apply the damage buff to energy weapons.
I was thinking of using a rank 3 supressor perk card for running the raid. I wonder if it would work with damage reflected from richochet? Either way 30 percent seems substantial when it comes to staying alive. Thanks for the build ideas.
You can technically save 2 points by using the rank 1 card; Suppressor stacks up to 40% regardless of rank, all that changes is how long it lasts and how quickly it gets there but that doesn't really matter as long as you keep the damage going.

Ya its a grim day for the bloodied unyielding hoarders. I had to reallocate loads of stuff onto a mule so I can run this build and keep my stash weight down.

So even with richocet emergency protocols, the new bullet shield and junk shield, full overeaters ect pushing our dmg negation into, well beyond ridiculous lvls we're still not recommending 19% hp exactly builds? I don't understand because if I don't have emergency protocols active I die quite often, eg say I get downed and stimmed and end up back up at 25% in say neurological warfare or Earl. The chance I go back down is so much greater at 25% hp unless i immediately chug 2 spoiled bramin milks to get to exactly 19% and reactivate my emergency protocols then if I just "hope" I don't get one shot in the interim. (The second it takes to get back to EP being active) The 50% dmg negation on top of 42% from any pa, the 30% from over eaters and all that before resistance from say natural resistance juck shield and my armors actual stats. We're STILL recommending forgoing that 50% from emergency protocols? I don't understand how that even makes sense

Hmm, I'm wondering if Endurance would be preferable to Poisonous, for the second set 2* - Endurance would give HP (+more from lifegiver), AP, phys/energy/elemental(Including Poison), right? Funky Duds + Union gives 350 total, and from what I've read, you seem to want to at least tickle 400 for a comfort zone, but extra hp padding seems like it would help too? Is going the Poisonous route for 2* OVER-investing in poison res? Like, weighing the benefits of +10 end (hp/ap/etc-wise, with relevant perks) or +125 poison resistance

perk loadout manager is buged. inside raid and outside araid. unless you go in perk louadount, hit Enter to change out perk cards. its always same loadout no matter what you do. also, there are many other bugs i dont know about, but bethesda has been 100% reliable to provide many many bugs in every update that extra breaks something previous.
If you only have one legendary slot left would power reboot or funky duds be more effective Also would 4 overeaters and 1 auto stim be more effective than 5 overeaters
If we are confident on not dieing, is there another legendary perk you suggest than the power armor revive? Or just another 5 perk points somewhere? EDIT: Does the mysterious survivor perk work for reviving you at all?
I really hope they dont nerf the enemies because ppl start complaining. Fallout 76 is way too easy of a game, we really needed something challenging to mix it up. This is a nice change of pace. So far the update is a win! A lot of fun and its very satisfying passing each encounter after a few failed attempts😂. The difficulty is perfect imo

All the videos I've seen say overeaters or some other full health. It looks like it's going to be very high damage. He says towards the end of the video while talking about food that full health will be necessary due to the unavoidable and unmitigatable damage.

Very nice :) I was just wondering if it would be worth using 'Lucky' as a 3rd star for the Gatling plasma and have a 23+ luck build (15 base luck + 6 luck from PA second star + 3 luck from Stranger in numbers), considering coffee will get spammed during the boss fights?
If we make our own serums and can drink them at will, where do you suggest putting the 3 points of luck to replace Class Freak? Since the other cards are based on how much luck you have I assume we still need to keep these three points in the luck category.
Isn’t bloodied PA way tankier than full health because is nerd rage and emergency protocol? Epsciallybnow either the bullet shield/ricochet combo? You throw in born survivor and power armor reboot and you never die
It is right now. I don't know if they changed something about how damage mitigation works, but right now, a properly built bloodied PA build can easily out tank full health. I believe it was something like 91% damage is shaved off before anything even touches the DR start.
I would want to only tailor one character to excel at raids. But are there good rewards that are character bound? Or could I hand stuff over to my non-raid optimized characters. Like the 4 star stuff.
Additional AP regen on your armor is nice as a quality of life thing, used to be very sought after but the way things are looking I might go +2 END instead for +10 END overall. The ap regen is not very effective while constantly in combat and some of the best ap regen is coming from consuming company tea and taking canned coffee as needed. More AP regen is diminishing returns. The effect is not bad though either.

With the way, they tinkered with anti-armor having less effect on big bosses…. Does not Aristocrat always out damage anti-armor….. would that not be the best choice if you have the caps? I have run identical, gauss explosive mini guns for a solid week (pre patch)….. one anti-armor, and one aristocrat….. and the aristocrat always out damages anti-armor in all scenarios that I have tried.
Does crippling perks such as one gun army effect the shield bar on the first stage, I mean when it triggers would it drain a large chuck of its bar or does it not work at all now ?
I had the same question. The new patch today upped the mod count to 12, only 1 of which you can get from breaking them down. I'm 6/12 now. The rest seem to be drops? @angryturtle

@@greenhornet3671 He has legendary perk cards equipped and maxed out, the SPECIAL ones provide 5 more points to be allocated to the stat that they pertain to and he has 3 of them equipped for +15 points to his overall SPECIAL. The legendary cards still do not allow you to have more than 15 points worth of normal cards on any one stat. He is showing his legendary perk cards at 1:00.
Nah, I'm going in bloody commando - wish me luck :) If that don't work, I'll try bloody ballistic heavy gunner in PA. If I'm still getting rocked, then I'll take your advice.

Solid, works for me - 1st raid done without problems. Dont have mods for gplasma so I pick AA explosive gauss minigun it works like a charm

unless concentrated fire got a buff, having it at 3 is pointless. it’s a 2% difference between 1 star and 3 star.

Yeah it's ridiculous for beth to expect players to have known exactly what to grind, for especially when all the grinding is time gated so heavily
SPECIAL does matter. Don't choose Charisma, so then you can share higher point cards with your team.

It does not work, I went all out, power armor, overeaters, dodgy, ect. Near instant death. Even on full health I can't last long face tanking

Go 1 point in power user , it's a good boost and sink other 2 int points into endurance. Biggest change I'd make for survival.

I think worth it, you get 150 poison resistance and +75 carry weight, then just equip TS for first boss, and jetpack for mole miners and snake

yes
perk loadout manager is buged. inside raid and outside araid. unless you go in perk louadount, hit Enter to change out perk cards. its always same loadout no matter what you do. also, there are many other bugs i dont know about, but bethesda has been 100% reliable to provide many many bugs in every update that extra breaks something previous.
If you only have one legendary slot left would power reboot or funky duds be more effective
Also would 4 overeaters and 1 auto stim be more effective than 5 overeaters
for raid poison resist for stage 5 otherwise reboot

If we are confident on not dieing, is there another legendary perk you suggest than the power armor revive? Or just another 5 perk points somewhere?

I really hope they dont nerf the enemies because ppl start complaining. Fallout 76 is way too easy of a game, we really needed something challenging to mix it up. This is a nice change of pace. So far the update is a win! A lot of fun and its very satisfying passing each encounter after a few failed attempts😂. The difficulty is perfect imo

Question, isthere a build for bloody in the raids or do you suggest we be full health
All the videos I've seen say overeaters or some other full health. It looks like it's going to be very high damage. He says towards the end of the video while talking about food that full health will be necessary due to the unavoidable and unmitigatable damage.
Why no room for Rejuvenated. All the other build recommendations I've seen have it in the very large endurance special?

Would stacking creamtor dots be good for this raid at all? I also run the medic perk card to heal teammates with the flame explosion. I also have an anti armor gatling plasma
Very nice :) I was just wondering if it would be worth using 'Lucky' as a 3rd star for the Gatling plasma and have a 23+ luck build (15 base luck + 6 luck from PA second star + 3 luck from Stranger in numbers), considering coffee will get spammed during the boss fights?

Since the other cards are based on how much luck you have I assume we still need to keep these three points in the luck category.

Isn’t bloodied PA way tankier than full health because is nerd rage and emergency protocol? Epsciallybnow either the bullet shield/ricochet combo? You throw in born survivor and power armor reboot and you never die
It is right now. I don't know if they changed something about how damage mitigation works, but right now, a properly built bloodied PA build can easily out tank full health. I believe it was something like 91% damage is shaved off before anything even touches the DR start.
you need high health for dot and area hazards that bypass mitigation

Additional AP regen on your armor is nice as a quality of life thing, used to be very sought after but the way things are looking I might go +2 END instead for +10 END overall. The ap regen is not very effective while constantly in combat and some of the best ap regen is coming from consuming company tea and taking canned coffee as needed. More AP regen is diminishing returns. The effect is not bad though either.

With the way, they tinkered with anti-armor having less effect on big bosses…. Does not Aristocrat always out damage anti-armor….. would that not be the best choice if you have the caps?
I have run identical, gauss explosive mini guns for a solid week (pre patch)….. one anti-armor, and one aristocrat….. and the aristocrat always out damages anti-armor in all scenarios that I have tried.

you can do it, I just opted for long lasting luck for raid

Does crippling perks such as one gun army effect the shield bar on the first stage, I mean when it triggers would it drain a large chuck of its bar or does it not work at all now ?

I had the same question. The new patch today upped the mod count to 12, only 1 of which you can get from breaking them down. I'm 6/12 now. The rest seem to be drops? @angryturtle
Hey AT how do you get so many points allocated in your build but you only have 49 available points when you are starting a new build
56 is default plus 15 from legendary

@@greenhornet3671 He has legendary perk cards equipped and maxed out, the SPECIAL ones provide 5 more points to be allocated to the stat that they pertain to and he has 3 of them equipped for +15 points to his overall SPECIAL. The legendary cards still do not allow you to have more than 15 points worth of normal cards on any one stat. He is showing his legendary perk cards at 1:00.
