R I P Wizz saw these guys must have been 20 odd times and always brilliant. way before their time. oh the days when music was music and it was fun to go to gigs
I seen mc4 in my home town in chesterfield..and what a gig it was..I was 1st on stage to dive n n it was like that all the way through...an awesome band ..I was gutted when I found out WIZ had passed away..mc4 will always have a special place in my heart.
Thanks for the memories and the guitar lessons, Wiz! Thanks to the band for letting us hang out backstage and tape the show at Whisky here in L.A. and having a few beers together after the show at Slim's in S.F.! Props always!
Yeeeeeeees! My favourite band from that era, 1993 the year i left school. Saw them at the Jug of Ale in Moseley, Birmingham a couple of times. Got pushed onto the stage at one gig and grabbed the mic stand to stop me falling. Messed that song up.
My brothers were HUGE fans of this band back in the 80s/90s (not sure when they started) and i remember they used to wear band tshirts, patches, etc. and they saw them live loads of times. And this is the first time seeing a song by them. Its actually something I'd listen to know. My brothers got me into the Ramones when i was a kid (I'm 40 now 😭), not sure why i never got into MC4.
Ah. Memories. Love Magic Bullets. First saw Mega City 4 Supporting Carter USM at Bangor Uni back in 1993. They blew Carter away. They are the best memory from that night.
I did an audition to be bass player for Serpico around 1996 without success!! Tonight I borrowed my mates accoustic bass and bizarrely I started playing a bass chord from one of the Serpico songs that I learn't 15 years ago. So I've looked up MC4 and surprised to hear that Wiz has died! R.I.P
Wiz was in an amazing band called Ipanema when he sadly passed away. If you haven't already done so, check out their web page (ipanemarock dot com). The split single they were working on with french tour buddies Atomic Garden was released in Wiz's memory on 7th July 2007 (its fab). Money raised by the sale of the single will be ploughed into finishing their album, and the proceeds from that will be split between 2 charities and the Forward 4 Wiz Trust.
oh and a reminder that there is a Mega City 4 Myspace page :) RUclips doesn't allow you to add a web address in comments but just search for the band name D x

I'm not aware of anywhere you can get a downloadable version, but the albums regularly crop up on eBay if you want a cd or vinyl version
