If you want a mechanical watch that you may not feel bad daily driving, try looking at detroit mint's offerings. At how much they go for and servicing fees I don't think you'll feel bad if something happens to one of those watches. I wouldn't daily drive that m1 either, it's too nice for that sort of abuse, even if the abuse is nothing more than normal daily use. Though, the rotor could have been improperly assembled the first time which is what I suspect, my father daily drove a pogue speedtimer for most of his life and that never happened and it only now badly needs a service but I'd still wouldn't take the chance with that sort of finish and quality.
