I have the 5 door Jimny and love it, greetings from South Africa!
Know I will be forever envious. Ship me one plz 😂
I wish they sold this in the US.
Agreed! What a beast
Great video. Question. How is this model holding up? Reason i ask is because i bought the Elmbrook back in 2019 when i remolded one bathroom and i loved it so much i decided to put the same model in my other restroom this year 2024. But i noticed that the design where the toilet flushes 💩 is different. It’s now a round circle. Any issues with it? I prefer the other design that looks like a scoop where the toilet flushes 💩. Thanks
You're telling me I missed the golden era of the Elmbrook 💩 chute?!?!?!?!
I was shopping for toilets and because of your video instruction, i decided to buy this exact kohler so that I can follow step by step
Well shoot Grace, we need to convince Kohler to give me a referral link 🤣 in all seriousness, good luck!
Drill straight, Use 1/2 impact, expanding anchor 1/2"
Hi! No matter how I push the screw on the water tank it does not seem to protrude that much for the washer and screw to be tightened. Any other technique to achieve that?
I'm not sure, is it the exact same model? I would recommend trying to double check the tank is seated square on the bottom half. The bolts should protrude pretty easily (barring some sort of mishap by the manufacturer). Push the bolts down from inside the top of the tank and see if the gasket is sitting flush that mates the tank to the bottom half.
Thanks for pointing out the importance of the tire weight, I did not really know this was an issue when I got my current Toyo AT3's and they are freaking 50lbs each, next set will more than likely be a "lighter duty" AT tire around 40-42lb a tire it really makes a difference that you can feel with a heavy tire.
Hahaha! Great video! 😂 🎣
How come my keyboard and and mouse won't work
I have tried to find the answer, but cannot. Maybe you know: is sand an acceptable medium under the slab? Or does it have to be stone? And if radon is heavier, why don't we vent underslabs to gravity, just like we do with water?
Sand could work too, you just may need a higher powered fan compared to gravel to get the same amount of communication for the furthest reaches under the slab from your suction point. The sand will be more densely packed than gravel. I hear they need pretty big fans in environments with clay for example. Airborne radon is intermingled within the working fluid (air) which is relatively "light" such that differential pressure between outside/inside your house or temperature based stack effect can "overpower" gravity's effect allowing radon to accumulate inside a house. In Bernoulli's equation the pressure terms in this example heavily outweigh the potential energy terms and are the leading cause of the airflow. The goal of sub slab radon mitigation is to provide a path of lesser resistance for the air under your home instead of going into your home!
@@goodvibezgarage3232 GREAT INFO!
Just did this yesterday for the first time. Wish I had found your video first just for the confidence building. At any rate, made it happen. Had a difficult time removing the old ferrule, but I used that same tool as you and it eventually came off. The old ferrule also left behind a deformed pipe. I was worried that wouldn’t seal properly, so I cut the pipe off with a mini tube cutter. I was lucky to have enough pipe exposed to do that. Thanks for making the video.
Hello, great video. I can't really see it to well in the video, but when you hung the unit, do you just go straight into the web of the I-Joist or did you have to reinforce the web at all? Or did you go into the flange of the I-Joist?
I just went right into the flange of the i joist with small hooks. The ERV is only 30ish lbs so less than 10lbs per chain. I would recommend the door springs on the chains as poor mans vibration reduction!
@@goodvibezgarage3232 Great! Thanks!
I’m looking to doing something like this for a customer. I need to get a gas water pump.
Yes sir!
Great catch!
Thanks!
thanks, great job. You are wonderful to take the time to help others!
The pleasure is all mine Mr. Fiden Bucker!
Excellent presentation
Thank you! Cheers!
Is it necessary to replace the compression nut and olive or can you use existing one
They are one time use. I woud replace.
Super helpful guy. You make it all look so easy and you're a confidence builder. Thanks for sharing with us.
Glad to help
I really want to thank you man! I had replace my old toilet quickly and I chose this Kohler Elmbrook. I followed your instructions and for never have replaced a toilet before, you made me look like a pro! Thank you for doing this sir! I did get the extra thick wax ring instead of using the one that came with it after talking o the plumbing guy at Home Depot. You gave me confidence to replace the upstairs toilets in the future. The bucket trick to test the flush was so smart too, instead of testing it ONLY after you got everything put together.
Thanks Greg, feedback like this keeps me goin! Cheers!
You could also add some spray foam to help hold up the fiberglass pan. Be sure not to put too much and puff up the pan
Thank you, much appreciated!
You're welcome!
VERY good job. I’ve done a few, yet still learned something new. Big Kudos for editing as well! Most youtubes waste people’s time. Not here! Heading to pick up the toilets now.😊
Glad it was helpful!
really hard to hear you
Yeah sorry. May have to turn up the volume for the first part
Excellent!!
Thank you! Cheers!

Thank you #1 fan!
I am in a panic and don't have $350 quoted. I don't see a knob on hot water tank going out to turn off, so do I have to turn off and drain out 50 gallons of hot water to replace hot water valve under under sink? Even if I shut off water to house the tank is still full of hot water to spew out right??
This question makes me think you should hire a plumber 😅🤣 If you shut off the city water, your domestic water system is no longer pressurized. You only have to drain out the volume of water in the pipes that is roughly the same elevation, or higher, than the shutoff valve you are trying to replace. Usually this is less than a gallon and can be drained at the valve too, it just sometimes gets messy. Have a big enough bucket or pail ready!
Question, I'm confused as to where did the water in your hot water tank go? You cut off the water to house but isn't there still water in a hot water tank that didn't drain out into that quart size container in basement? I need to replace hot water valve under bathroom sink.

Do you know if these 275/60/r20 tires would have fit without the suspension lift since the stock tires were 275/55/r20?
Theres only one way to find out 😄
@@goodvibezgarage3232 works great no rubbing with stock suspension and love the ride and look of these tires
Jess is the real MVP for sure!!!
If you want some gar then go fish in lake hartwell
How have these tires held up for you so far? Also how about suspension still happy with it?
Been keeping up with rotations every 7k miles or so. Everything is doing great!
I got a 2023 Silverado Regular Cab and I'd like to get this one's for my truck, does it rub? 275/60/R20

@pazzi98 I got an order in for a 24 Sierra single cab. Have you done the tire swap? I wanna do the same but i don’t know if it’ll rub
Whst if you have a copper line say ggoing to the faucet. My faucet is almost impossible to get to.
This is all well and good If you are securing the safe to a concrete floor. But what about those of us that need to do it on carpet that has whatever is normally under carpet?
Hey EcoBaseTech, keep in mind your level of security will only be as great as the material underneath. Plywood subfloor is usually the material of choice on most residential houses but it all depends where you live and the construction of your dwelling. If you have a basement, I would go look up at the floor above. If you live in an apartment, I would probably not recommend this lest you drill through your neighbors ceiling. Similarly, pre-drill some holes and then either use lag bolts or conventional nuts and bolts to secure the safe. The thicker the better! You are trying to prevent shear in the case of a break in. Use good engineering judgement :)
@@goodvibezgarage3232 My home (also my very first purchased) was built in the 1960's and I don't know much of its history. All I do know is there is no "basement" in the traditional sense but it has a crawlspace. I have open beam wood ceilings in each room except for the bathroom and hallway that is in the middle. There is an access panel that opens up to a channel that (wouldn't support my weight at all) that runs up/down the hallway. So I don't know how I would secure a safe securely to the floor and through carpet. I asked the original question because i don't have a garage and there doesn't seem to be much out there in the way of videos showing how to mount a safe to a floor with carpet. How would I make "good engineering judgement" when I know nothing about engineering as it's not my field of study or profession. I've been thinking hard about this and have come to the conclusion that instead of buying a safe, i should just buy and have a "vault door" installed to replace the door at the end of my hallway to my home office. SnapSafe doors made by Hornady seems reasonably priced; at around $1800+ whatever the cost of installation. I couldn't install one on my own as I live alone and don't know anyone that would be able to help me. I rarely have visitors so I don't have to worry about little ones but I have other reasons to secure my home office space anyway and was thinking of having it double as my "gun room".
You should have put teflon tape or pipe dope on the ferule ring and not the threads to prevent leaks. Preferably teflon tape.
I will try that next time and report back!
Keep a brown paper towel under the new compression fitting or put the towel in the plastic bowl.
Great idea
Does the ring deform the pipe? If the ring is removed can I switch to a press on fitting or is the pipe deformed?
It shouldn't, you can always switch to a SharkBite fitting if they make a compatible one. I would try and remove any stuck on residue to ensure a good seal.
Thank you you did great job explaning
You are welcome!
Thanks - this is exactly what I was looking for…..and need for the same reason!
Did it work for you too?
A little bit Navy SEAL? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just boot things!
If you want a mechanical watch that you may not feel bad daily driving, try looking at detroit mint's offerings. At how much they go for and servicing fees I don't think you'll feel bad if something happens to one of those watches. I wouldn't daily drive that m1 either, it's too nice for that sort of abuse, even if the abuse is nothing more than normal daily use. Though, the rotor could have been improperly assembled the first time which is what I suspect, my father daily drove a pogue speedtimer for most of his life and that never happened and it only now badly needs a service but I'd still wouldn't take the chance with that sort of finish and quality. Anyways, take care ben.
I agree one thousand!
I think your milage will vary with the puller based on how seized up the ferrule is. My next stop is either the $40 specialty tool or a plumber.
Make sure you are using it right and your ferule puller isn't bottomed out!
BRASS NOT COPPER FERRULE, other than that your tutorial was very good, also for those who do not have the puller have them reuse the old one(nut and ferrule), just replace the valve
I need you to help me with my puller
Whats up with your puller?
That won't work if the thread pitch of the new valve's compression fitting differs from that of the old valve. The only option then is to remove the old ferrule and nut so the new nut and ferrule can be placed on the pipe stub.
I'm trying to find out how far in the holes are so that I can drill it and not have to move it after its delivered. Can you tell me how far in from the sides the bolt holes are?
If i had to guess, about 6.9cm
Great review. Been looking to see these tires on a truck in a tasteful manor
Thanks! 👍
Great video, I'm looking to do the same tires and struts on my 2018 Silverado. Any issues in the time you've had this setup on the 3rd setting or with the Trail-Terrain's. Any mileage changes or regret in going with the taller 60 instead of the stock 55? Thanks for posting!
Nope! Still loving this setup. Just got under it last weekend and rechecked everything was torqued to spec and it still was. Remember Odo and MPG will be off by the ratio of stock tires/new tires (about 0.97).
Oh, hose down that suspension after those snow storms....
I shut off my hose bibs all winter my friend XD
Thanks for the Tips!
You bet!
Are you happy with the Trail Terrains and how they ride (bump absorption), noise level, and wet handling?
Honestly, no complaints so far. They are very nice tires.
