We took a 4-hour train ride from Quebec City to Montreal. Why? Well, mostly to try out the closest to the original Montreal-style bagels that we could. We found a bit more to enjoy though...

I am proud of you guys for finding the old school Montreal bagel shops. I always try to get my bagel warm from the oven but we don’t always have that luxury. I recommend heating them up uncut in a toaster oven if possible so it’s crisp on the outside and still soft in the middle

Nice couple, nice channel, but I can't believe you missed tasting Montreal's smoked meat, from Swhartz, Ben's, Dunn's etc... Poutine was invented in Québec, the Montreal kind of bagel is very well known, quite different from New-York, but the "Montreal smoked meat" is from another planet! :)
You have to come back to try it, and I offer to be your personal guide for that day! (I am a history buff and know my city by hearth!) :)

I can't tell what's more addicting: Montreal bagels or this channel. Can't wait for the next episode!
Side note: I've noticed that Americans usually pronounce Montreal as "mawn-tree-all", whereas English Canadians typically pronounce it as "munn-tree-all". But is seems like the US pronunciation is actually much closer to the original French name.
