I have lived in a multitude of cities in this great country but there's no city that comes close to the vibrance of Montréal. I was born here and I'm perfectly bilingual. Proud of my city and what it has to offer. Come by and spend some time here, you won't want to leave.

At the 2:46 point, there's a guy who says that Montreal is also a great city to come home to, and I say to myself: "Yeah, that's a good point..." And then I see that the guy speaking is... ME!

You can leave Montreal, but the city will never leave you. A unique combination of feeling like a cosmopolitan city and a charming village.
A beautiful mixture of European culture and North American amenities all rolled into one which will warm your heart and make you fall in love with the city.

That was truly, beautifully said! I couldn't agree more with you @Franklin Porter. I feel the exact same way, everytime I go back to this that I love and that I was born in... Endless summer walks in the Vieux-Montréal, having a drink at Les 2 Pierrots, spending a full day at the Jardins Botanique (especially the Chinese and Japanese gardens) , going at La Ronde during l'International Loto - Québec and watch those amazing fireworks spectacles... Montreal, to me, will always be home!

Left Montreal in 1995, miss the food, miss the bike paths, miss the joie du vivre. If I didnt have a family here on the west coast I would consider moving back. Higher taxes but everything else is way cheaper.

Church @ 2:41 - Église Sainte Marguerite-Marie (Ontario & De Lorimier). That angle with the Fountain gives it a very latin feel IMO.
Ceiling @ 7:00 - Crew Collective & Café (Old Montreal). Old bank turned into a coffee shop... amazing.
Fountain @ 9:45 - Montreal World Trade Center (Old Montreal)

A beautiful city with horrible roads. I love Montreal; I lived there for five years in the early 90s and I continue to visit family almost every year. I just don't understand why the city still has terrible roads.

Because the Quebec government is corrupt and pocketing up the money which causes poor quality of roads.

@@187Heeren I am not convinced this is reason. There are hundreds of cities across Canada and I am assuming they all use salt to clean up the snow. None of them has such terrible roads.
