I've been living in Finland for a couple of years now and never really stopped to appreciate the grocery stores at Helsinki airport, just sorta took them for granted. You guys make me feel not very observant. However, I would really advise you to avail yourself of the butt hoses, and if you choose not to, not to publicly disclose that information. Finns I have spoken to do have called them bidets in English, as have I, but according to wikipedia, they are known as "bidet showers" "handheld bidets", "commode showers", "toilet showers", "health faucets", "bum showers, "jet sprays", "hand showers, "shatafas", or "bum guns". Finns do occasionally have quirks in their English like the "sledge" thing. Students have coveralls/boiler-suits colored to match their "guild" (an organization of students with a common study discipline), but insist on referring to these in English as "overalls", which drives me nuts. But what can you do? And they always say "welcome to" + verb, which is a calque from Finnish, e.g. "welcome to participate in our survey" or "welcome to come to my party next week". At the terminal tram stop, the recording says, "welcome on board again", and I'm like, "I haven't even gotten off yet, let alone reboarded!"
