    My wife and I booked a trip there for late September 2024. We are so excited. From Florida to the Arctic Circle!

    Love this! I have been a couple of times to Rovaniemi but never Santa's Village. Saving it for when my little boy is old enough! ☺

    You're turning European. Everyone knows Santa lives in Lapland, not the North Pole. 😉

    And again I saw that you had a good time. I'm almost 55 y.o. Finn and I visited that Santa Claus village for the first time in 2021. Of course I had been to Rovaniemi before, but had just skipped that "tourist trap" :D
    Sorry to tell you, but that arctic circle there is fake. The real arctic circle is about two kilometers north from that point but it's on a swamp and that village could not be built there. In fact the arctic circle crosses the runway of the Rovaniemi airport.

    You 2 are so much fun t watch - and i don't even have plans to go to Finland. Love your videos. I can see you in the mirror Chris at about 1:47 in your videos timeline. Just trying to figure out what you have your phone mounted to? I haven't had any luck with the moving gimbals and need a better hand held mount. Any advice?

    • @chrisplusmelissa
      @chrisplusmelissa  Год назад

      Thank you for the kind words. I too have had issues with finding the perfect gimbal... so far, the best has been the Insta360 flow... it's not perfect, but better than what we've used in the past in an effort to get smooth video during movement. Often, we just use a Joby mount, however that's another set of issues. Nothing is perfect. 😊

    Hello from Finland. nice video. I have been to Rovaniemi many times. That place is more beautiful in winter, and I think SantaPark is even more beautiful. I think it's also an experience for the children, because there's something like an elf school, Finnish gingerbread decorating and ice sculptures. I hope you will come to Finland again. ❤
    hei täältä suomesta. kiva video. olen käynyt monta kertaa rovaniemellä. Tuo paikka pn kauniimpi talvella ja minusta vieläkin kauniimpi on SantaPark. se on myös lapsille minusta kokemus sillä siellä on vaikka mitä esimerkiksi tonttu koulua, suomalaisien piparkakkujen koristelua ja jääveistoksia. Toivon että tulette uudestaan Suomeen.❤

      @@chrisplusmelissa We didn't have any competition to participate in, instead we decorated gingerbread cookies as a family. ☺️ Unfortunately, we had just had coffee in the middle-cafe , so the giant gingerbread didn't taste so good anymore.🤣 Anyway, the activities there are no means spectacular, just peaceful. A bit like in the Moomin world.🤔 The idea is to focus on the moment and your own family, they just offer a fairytale world to experience it together.😘

    Hi, I enjoyed watching this video, and the Santa Claus Express. I am wondering how did you book your Santa Claus Apartment? Was it directly though the Village website, or through a travel website, like Travelocity, Orbitz, and so on? I am going to do the train and the village soon.

    • @chrisplusmelissa

      Hi! We're delighted you enjoyed the videos! We booked through the Santa's Village website. We often don't want to use the travel websites because then if you need to modify something, it always seems more complicated.
