  • In this video, we dive deep into the world of smartwatch reviews to answer a crucial question: Are they truly honest? Do they give me what I need to answer questions about the smartwatch and can I actually trust them?
    Key Points Discussed:
    Tech review channels on RUclips
Common practices and ethics in tech reviewing
The role of personal experience and expertise in shaping reviews
Red flags to watch out for in potentially biased reviews
    Why This Matters:
As consumers, we rely on tech reviews to make informed purchasing decisions. Understanding the factors that influence review honesty helps us choose reliable sources and avoid biased recommendations.
But if we only watch reviews from people who are paid or get given all of these things for free is it truly a "honest" review?

I invested in the Apple Watch SE in black with the iPhone 13 in green thought was color were on point simple roster. Now i upgraded to the Apple Watch Ultra ocean blue band for work purposes.. tracking my family ..notifications .. battery life weather health security. I can say it’s like third hand. If I did not need any of these features day to day I would get a simple design time piece for sure. Thank you

It does sound and look like an absolute beast of a watch, but I'm an android guy so it won't work. And I dunno if I can justify the price for an ultra.. Glad it works for you though. What's the battery life like ?

@@JustStephen89 makes sense to buy an android watch for your situation correct. I don’t justify the price either but for my situation I’m a delivery driver so I need Apple Maps to certain destinations and phone calls through out the day .. battery life is a little better if you do low power mode once you enable the feature. If Rolex were to simple watch with the same features I would have gotten one .

Obviously, I’m passionate about traditional watches. Have two Tudors, one Rolex, a few Seiko’s, G-shocks, and so on. All these watches are beautiful and useful in their own ways. Yet when I have them on wrist, I feel as though I’m wearing outdated, obsolete time telling devices.
What’s worse, these devices only do a few things: tell the time, date, day, etc. With my Apple Watch Series 8 stainless sapphire, I have all that and much more. And I don’t have to charge any lume, or push G-Shock’s momentary light button.
I have LTE enabled. What that means for me is that I can leave my phone in my room and do tasks, chores, etc. if I lost my phone in public, I have one on wrist. If I get injured, Apple Watch may save the day. My Watch also controls my security systems and I get camera movement alerts on my wrist. That’s all awesome!
I’ll keep my Rolex, Tudors, Seikos, etc, but I’ll mostly be wearing smaller watches henceforth. Traditional analog watches are merely wrist jewelry with the benefit of time keeping. With smart watches, you just get so much more. And that’s what keeps me in love with my Apple Watch.

That's an amazing response, thanks for that. I can honestly say I didn't think about it like that. You should be a salesman because I think you may have sold me. If you didn't have an iPhone though, what smart watch would you have?

Huawei gt pro series easily 7-12 days use without need to charge. The new Huawei fit 3 with nylon band is also nice. Good for swimming and has a 10 days battery life. Nice vids mate and greetings from Holland

Good video man! for me smartwatches are no real watches, see them more like just other phone format, ANOTHER thing to keep charged 😅 I''m big fan of divers too!

That's how I see them aswell, but I want to get one and just use it properly and see. I don't need a wallet on it or anything just nice and simple. I love my dive watches though 👍🏾

Garmin for me is the best.
    Love Casio, Apple Watch also.
Android wear watches are E-waste in my eyes. Poor functionality and extremely poor batterytime. They have batterytime expressed in hours in stead of days or week like with Garmins.

Nice collection 👍 Also a big fan of divers myself 😀 In terms of smartwatches, have you looked at Garmin’s smartwatches? They have a lot of different series in different sizes and colours with really good battery life 🙂
If you only want to buy new, you should probably expect to pay at least 300, but I think you’ll find that it’s worth the money in the end 🙂

    • @JustStephen89

Yeh I love divers, that's what got me into watches, didn't like the "pretty" wrist watches, I wanted something a bit chunky and robust.
Garmin you say? Any recommendations? Other than Garmin what would you be looking at? I need a few options

    • @gschock201
      @gschock201 Месяц назад

@@JustStephen89 Yeah, that’s exactly what I like about divers too. I’ve never gone diving, so it’s just for the looks and the feel that I buy them 😉
Have you ever owned the Citizen JP-2000? Imo the coolest diver in the world 😀💪
Regarding Garmin’s smartwatches, I would especially check out their Fenix series if I were you 😉
Casio has also made a few smartwatches that you might find interesting. For instance, I have the GPR-B1000. I absolutely love it, mainly for the chunky design, but for most people it’s probably a bit too chunky 😏
