    Hi:
When will you be posting more videos of this trip (estimate only)? I am traveling from Santa Fe to Austin & I want to know where to stop for the nights & what to do along the way. I was thinking Roswell (Bottomless Lakes & Bitter Lakes WMR) & some place in W Texas. Any ideas?

My next video will be next week so too late for your needs. A couple of places I can recommend in NM. Aguirre Springs Campground is terrific with great views (BLM). Our friends told us that Three Rivers Petroglyphs Campground north of Alamogordo is nice. If you are in Alamogordo, definitely stop at the Pistachio Nut place. They have all kinds of flavors and ice cream if that's your thing. Really nice Grocery store in town is called Lowes Signature Market. There is also a free dump at the Chamber of Commerce visitor center. We also stayed at a rest stop along Hwy 10 just outside of Deming. Yes there is train traffic but they have about 8 cabanas where RVs pull next to and spend the night. You can stay 24 hours at a NM or Texas Rest Stop. We have found that all the Campgrounds in Texas are quite nice. Get the season pass for discounts. It may be tough to get a space anywhere close to the path of Totality though.

Enjoy the eclipse! We were going to try to take off, but I ended up having wrist surgery (to fix a problem from a fracture two years ago ) and I'm not driving very well yet. Bad timing but I grabbed the first op appointment they had. Ret tortillas: we're a divided house. I am corn tortilla all the way. No half-and-half corn/wheat even. Basic corn tortillas. My husband is whole wheat. Nothing but whole wheat.
I got a little Dash grill to make pizzas, but I never thought to try them with tortillas. Brilliant!

The best floral displays are actually around Desert Hot Springs and North Indio. You and John may still catch the display on your way back from Texas. You said something very very important: you should have a fun partner to make life smooth.
John, you can be a part time food demonstration activist at the grocery store! Maybe Kodiak will sponsor you two?
    HAHAHA!
How many miles on your van?
Will you return to California with 2 vans?
I would call that cabinet part a "spring strut", not a hinge.
Orange Coast College, I went to an annual car/hot rod show there in 1986?
