    to all those who hate mustaine's voice : he might doesn't have the best singing skill nor that brutal scream you want as he was not a vocalist in the first place, but his voice fits the songs so perfectly it defines megadeth itself. can't imagine another singer sings it.

    • @citizeeeen
      @citizeeeen Год назад +17

      Trash Metal was never about "singing skills", why don´t people talk about Hetfield or even Tom Araya? … Are they great singers? No and it does not matter.

    • @kybamclane9357
      @kybamclane9357 Год назад +4

      @@citizeeeen Well for one thing James does have good singing skills, another is that the reason why most thrash metal vocals sound good most of the time is because most thrash metal is dirty, loud, amd unprofessional with the exception of Metallica, Antrhax, and Megadeth. Metallica write excellent compositions for songs and James has a good voice for it. Megadeth also write excellect songs and have excellent musicians behind it. But his vocals... man, they not only sound bad but theyre especially way off from the level of musicianship the rest of their music has. They could have a way better vocalist and could have been way more successful with it.

    • @citizeeeen
      @citizeeeen Год назад +2

      @@kybamclane9357 Thrash Metal singing is not a competition, there are so many bands that everyone can choose what to enjoy. Mustaine is MEGADETH and his voice is part of it, started as kind of provocation because someone had to do it. Dave´s lyrics work with his voice and his singing has improved over the years because he felt more confident about its possibilities. Most of these bands never auditioned for a singer anyway … One of the guys just had to step up. Mostly it is an angry, can be socially/political critical, energetic and a fun style of METAL. I don´t think MEGADETH would work with another style of singing or singer, it is all about the Attitude, Lyrics and Music of Mustaine´s MIND. Adiossss:-)

    • @kybamclane9357
      @kybamclane9357 Год назад

      @@citizeeeen Well he didn't sound too bad on Youthanasia and yeah his voice is unique it has some good qualities to it but overall in any given performance its just bad. Its not good singing, its not good screaming, its not good distortion, its just bad. A plain bad voice; and its not nearly up to the level of musicianship his guitar playing + the rest of the band has.

      As a side-effect of his conscious effort to alter his style to further differentiate Megadeth from other bands, and to evolve as a player, Marty helped launch the band into the stratosphere and elevated the regard to which "shred" guitar (and Thrash/Heavy Metal in itself) was observed. I remember getting this CD in 1990 at 15 years of age, listening to the instrumental end/outro/post lyrics section (2:38 mark here) and sitting in my room with my jaw hanging on the floor. This is the quintessential thrash album. Its hard to put anything a close second except maybe Reign in Blood.

    I love the play throw of the guitars, also every single instrument sounds sick! This was my entry level to metal subsequently leading me to brutal death metal, I’m proud of my metal roots!! 🤘

    Oh, I am sorry, I thought this band wasn't Metallica? Seriously, I see more comments about Metallica on Megadeth videos, than actual Metallica videos, do people not realize that the fued is over or is still impossible to hold both in high regards?

      sadsadsa asadasd And how is that? I know Metallica's history pretty well I know they used Dave's shit but that doesn't give you guys the right to go trying to fight dave's and Metallica's fight, which has since been resolved.

      I know and have knbown that Mechanix is just a lyrical change and a faster tempo away from the four horseman, but I feel the liricism on the four horseman is better and smoother, but still Dave has some pretty good songs. I'm sorry if the spelling is off I'm stoned aat the moment.

    It's been said before, but it's so impressive how much the band changed in such a short time. In 1988 the band was falling apart and arguably bottomed out soon after. By the the fall of 1990 they'd recorded their masterpiece, and by the time this performance was recorded their live show was a thing of absolute beauty.
