    I did this to my Krx also. I also insulated and wrapped all the coolant lines, under the gas tank also. My gas tank was getting so hot it was boiling the gas. This made a huge difference with heat and noise is the cab. The Krx is by far the hottest and loudest Machine I’ve ever owned. Great video!

    Good video and great info. What's weird is the main reason I chose this machine was not only for the build quality because it had no heat in the cab and was universes more quiter in the cab than the can am x3 I drove. Mine only has a little over 20 hrs on it so far because I haven't been able to get it out yet and put it thru the paces. I'm new to side by sides so I'm still learning. But in the little rides I've taken in it there is absolutely no heat in the cab at all. The plastic on the back wall or anywhere else in the cab has any heat coming of it. It's all still cold to the touch. That's why it's surprising to me to see comments it's the loudest and hottest sxs they've ever had. I've only got to ride a few sxs of different brands and they were all WAY louder and hotter in the cab. Including a teryx 800 I took out for about 4 hrs. Am I missing something?

      dirtslinger1500 your machine must be built differently than everyone else’s.

      @@jameyarthurhultz3069 lol. I couldn't be that lucky. I just know how mine has been so far. If I EVER get a chance to hit the woods I'll give an update.

      My 2020 gets really hot here in Florida. The heat comes from the radiator and lines which makes the console feel like radiant heat. Way too hot for Florida summers, I have to remove the windshield in the summer to evacuate the heat. Feels great in the Florida winter with the windshield installed.

    interesting, gas lines running up behind the seats with a inline filter. At first, good idea so you can change easy, but having a connection that close to passengers seems no good. Been following the heat issue from other people, would think most is coming from FWD - radiator.

      I agree. On my first ride I hit water and steam came into the cockpit. Not quite as much heat as a Can Am Commander but it was pretty hot for a few seconds.

    Nice watching the build come together. The trailer in video photo... is it 20'? 22'? I need to be able to carry 2 SxSs.

      The trailer is actually a 24'. the first 2 ft I have a stainless tool box and 30 gallon gas tank setup with pump. I will; try and send a video soon of the setup.

    What is the intake reverse you mentioned?

    • @txtamer
      @txtamer  4 года назад +1

      There is an intake reverse kit for the X3 that brings air in from the rear and not from 10" from your ears. Noticeable improvement for 50.00 investment.

    Larry, how did the insulation work out? Did it help deaden the sound and help with the heat?

      I really could not notice a significant improvement. I am going to try and add some more from the back side that I can reach.

      an upcoming project for sure. The downside is that it looks like if I trp the heat in the exhause the muffle will get even hotter and glow from what I am reading and seeing. I may opt to remove the cat like another Utuber did.
