- Carowinds? More like SCarowinds! Or at least it's looking more like SCarowinds by the day. I'm so excited for Halloween, I'm about to flip. In this video, we walk around and check out the few Halloween decorations that Carowinds has put up for 2023 so far this August. And yes, the skeletons and pumpkins have made their return. We also get to check out a healthy Fury 325! It's been dealing with some crack-itis but it seems that it's fully healthy and back to work. I'm extremely glad to see the world's tallest and fastest giga coaster back and in action. In my honest opinion, Fury 325 is a HUGE part of Carowinds! To answer the question about Boo Blasters I agree that it would be a better ride if they just dropped the guns in lieu of better sets and animatronics but sadly they will never do that because its simply cheaper to just replace the guns or do a system upgrade. That is a also a preventive maintenance measure since animatronics often need repairs. Not to mention the ride as a whole is owned by Sally Dark Rides who are not as well known for animatronic heavy rides aside from a few specifics. But most of their rides are basically variations of this ride.
Interesting! I agree with everything you said. I also think the scoring system makes it more interactive which is what an amusement park relies on. However, I'd absolutely love to have a spooky haunted house that told a good story. Maybe have a small Christmas overlay too. Idk that's extremely expensive but I can dream!
@@8bitvacations oh yeah! If I were designing this I would have at least a few more basic animatronics and definitely run a seasonal overlay since Carrowinds has been staying open longer into winter and doing holiday events
Absolutely love your channel. I was wondering do you have a more in depth video of the all season dining plan. Was gonna get then gold one. With my gold pass I’m buying tomorrow but didn’t know if it’s worth it to have the dining plan for every member of my family. Planning our first visit next weekend. The all season dining plan for 2024 I found out is still valid through the rest of 2023 on opening days so I was just curious do you think I should have the dining plan for every member of my family if we plan to go at least 10 times next year Plus scarowinds and winterfest

The meals are around $15-25 nowadays so the plan starts paying itself off if you plan on buying around 5-7 meals there. Me and my family go frequently and we always get lunch as soon as we get there, then get dinner before we leave. My wife shares her dining plan with our toddler daughter because she doesn't eat a full one yet. We've probably saved hundreds using it so it's worth it to us. The only thing you may want to consider is maybe trying a meal or two before you purchase it to see if you like the food there. It's not the best food in the world but I don't mind it at all. There's also a huge variety to choose from. The burrito cafe is good and I like a few of the items out of Harmony Hall. I guess I'm just used to amusement park food at this point though.
