- Winterfest is beginning to make its home in Carowinds for 2023! This Charlotte area Christmas event is one that I look forward to each and every year. The hot chocolate, millions of lights, holiday food, and entertaining shows all put me in the Christmas mood! Not all of the rides will be open there are tons of fun things to do. If you enjoy the holidays, you should consider making a trip out to Carowinds for Winterfest! Opening day will be November 17th!

Nice. For the winter season. Are they only open on the weekends...
They're closed every week until the week before Christmas. Then they open up during the week for certain days throughout Christmas week. This is a good calendar to use to check to see when they're open.

Parking is $30 for standard. I checked the sign on the way in yesterday!
