- Let me tell you, it is so nice to have Carolina Harbor open again! In today's video, we experience Carowinds' only waterpark for our first trip of 2023. This is a super cool waterpark with tons of slides and wave pools. We get in the main wave pool, walk around the park, and eat two meals. Thank goodness for the dining plan! I hope you enjoy the video and I hope you get to catch some waves!

The whole 2 times I went the lazy river was closed and I can’t believe it!
I've heard of it being open this year from someone but it hasn't been when I was there this year. It costs a lot to staff it but it's one of my favorite things to do there. ☹️
Well i went last year and they had opened it but I just didn’t go on it
It's a decent lazy river for sure. I miss it big time because it's such a good way to cool off. Hopefully next year things get even more normal and they can open it.
Enjoy this, we went the next day and it wasn't near as warm, high neve hit 70 and stayed cloudy all day. Looks like y'all had a great day though!!

I live in Texas but we are taking a vacation and one of the stops will be Carowinds/Carolina Harbor. I am excited and clicked on your video to see what we will be in for. I love water parks.
That's awesome and I definitely appreciate it! Please be aware that they only have certain rides running each day and they can change. Fury 325 is closed today (6/15) but it changes each day. I really don't know for sure why but just be aware of that. I really hope you have fun though!
Aw man! The lazy river was the main thing I wanted to do. I wasn't worried about no chair bc I was just going to dit in the lazy river, what a bummer!
I saw that it was open at some point this season. Idk if it is open full time or if they just randomly open it. You might want to call ahead and ask before you go.

Takeaways: food is not great. Some of the main ticket items such as wave pool and lazy river aren’t open. The fries are terrible and burgers overcooked.
Man, for all they don’t have going for them, you ought to just take a trip up the mountain and try out DollyWood’s Splash Country! The value is way better. The slides are amazing. The lazy River is always open and the food is phenomenal! I’ve said it since I was a kid (and I live 20 minutes from Carowinds) DollyWood is the superior theme park and Splash Country is one of the best water parks I’ve been to- and I’ve been to a ton.
I wanna go there this Saturday, but how much do the tickets cost? Can you go to the water park and the roller coaster?

Was there on Sunday 8/13. Lazy river was closed, multiple slides were closed. The ones that were open had huge lines. Even the kiddie section had lines because there was nothing else to do. Went in the wave pool closest to the Cabanas and within 5 minutes they closed it for "cleaning". For over an hour it was closed and all the lifeguards that worked it just stood around doing nothing. Each closed attraction had a lifeguard posted. They could have repurposed all that staff and opened the lazy river or something else. Also they could have posted general staff to guard the closed attraction, not a lifeguard. Very disappointed. Especially since I paid full price for a premium cabana. What a waste.

Definitely grab yourself some flip flops or something. Also, I've heard of people getting their flops stolen so make sure you don't bring expensive ones!
@@8bitvacations thanks also i now realised when i got back my flip-flops where in my bag the whole time! but i live near Carowinds anyway so i will probably be back with a new knowledge of the flip flops
