I absolutely love this stuff. I don’t care how old it is, how it’s perceived as a scent “my grandpa would have worn.” I’m 32 and rock the shit out of this stuff.
Roger was never a perfumer by this. He was a creative director of Dior back then. The perfumer who created it was Jean Louis Sieuzac, one of the greatest perfumers of all time, who also created Bel Ami by Hermes (the best leather in the game, imho), Opium by YSL (another masterpiece for women), Or Black by Pascal Morabito (super understated oriental) and a few more. What interesting, he is very much known for quality of the work, and not quantity. Probably that's why he only has like a dozen perfumes in his portfolio, but all, ALL of them are absolute wonders.
Appreciate your truth Aaron!! This has been my most LOVED fragrances since 1989(senior yr H.S) I will always have this in rotation & in the winter the Parfum concentration!! Keep em coming
Glad you reviewed this one, Aaron. Such a classic perfume. I personally love this. Smells fantastic and very masculine. You're right. It's definitely a love-or-hate type of scent.

Another excellent review. I have two bottles of Fahrenheit, when Dior's Paris address was 30, Avenue Hoche. This stuff is legend. IMO, right up there with vintage YSL Kouros.
Just went and tried this out at Sephora the other day. Reminds me of my grandfather after he came in from working on cars. Not for me but I totally get the petrol vibe. Very unique. Love how you break down the actual ingredients and explain why we smell what we smell. That’s what makes you the best fragrance reviewer imo.
Thanks for this review of this classic fragrance, Aaron. Fahrenheit was hugely popular for a number of years back in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It was the Sauvage of its day. I was blown away by it when I first smelled it. It was love at first sniff. I wore it constantly for about two years, but familiarity can breed contempt and I became a bit bored with it and started buying other fragrances.I still have a bottle of it of. My wife loves it and I still like it, but I don't love it like I used to. Like many classic fragrances, I think it lost it's X-factor when it was reformulated. Having said that, it doesn't smell old and I'd rather wear it than the countless identikit sweet synthetic bubble gum fragrances that are so popular with young people today.
Love your videos. I binge watch so many of them. Never stop please!! Great review I would love to see you review Fahrenheit Le parfum and compare it to the EDT would make a great video. Keep up the great work
For me Fahrenheit was in 1990 what Sauvage was 5 years ago...it seemed to be everywhere, as was Joop! and most guys over applied them so they came across a touch noxious, especially in an enclosed space. Each fragrance has its time then the world moves on but we keep wearing them mainly because of the memories they evoke even if the DNA of the scent is, well...'vintage'. Top review/breakdown as always ATH👍
Thanks for this review. This fragrance has been on my mind lately though I haven’t worn it in years. I found a bottle of Gucci Guilty Absolute , which I hear is a modern take on Fahrenheit, pretty cheap online so plan to rock that when the temperature drops.
I like you being able to say its great and respect the craft even though it's not for you. Very well articulated review iv never had it and am currently waiting on it to be delivered looking forward to trying it 👌🏻
An excellent review from a perfumers view point. Dior is my favourite fragrance house. (ATH fragrances aren’t far behind). I don’t own Farenheight Parfum yet. Be great to hear your thoughts on that one Aaron.

I love Fahrenheit, as i despise the blue frags full of clary sage and sea minerals... just makes me think of radox every time, so this is my go to for the hot red and green notes. the honeysuckle and violet are what carries the scent for me. I was completely floored when I smelled this. I thought it was quite simply the greatest scent I ever smelled in my life. Uber, masculine, leather jacket, scruffy beard. Such superb blending. I swear i got this earlier than 98 but no matter, iove it. So many scents are what i call "fish cologne" because it's so strong it overpowers many feet away, but i love this one. I also love Eau Sauvage and tragically for me, Gucci Rush for Men, which many times had people in a room sniffing the air till they got to me and said "Is that you I'm smelling?" It was my sweat and Rush as i used it as deodorant, lightly. I loved the way it mixed with my chemistry. It's so hard to find and sometimes didn’t survive intact due to age. But i have one half bottle and wear it on special occasions. For me, Gucci Rush for Men is amazing, with Fahrenheit and Eau Sauvage 2nd and 3rd. Iove your reviews and you seem to look even healthier than you did in the past. I Thank You and wish you happiness.
I've been wearing Fahrenheit since the late 90's, along with YSL's Opium. Sadly Fahrenheit is nowhere near as strong as it used to be, but still, I'd say my scent for life, from maybe 150 different ones in my collection.

I love the EDT more. I love the aroma of it. The scent is better than the EDP. The EDT smells much closer to the Fahrenheit formulation in the mid 1990s.
I went through so many scents in my life but Fahrenheit always stays on top of everything I tried. It is just one of its kind scent, so unique. Another one that I like a lot is Gucci Guilty Absolute. Another timeless scent

Fantastic. Out of my 18 in my collection so far. This is my favorite. I’ve only gotten into the fragrance game last couple of months. If I was gonna have a signature this is it. The note combination fantastic packs a punch but still comes off clean. Also I’ve read into the reformulations people with the new and also vintage bottles say this current one is the closest to the 88 one. Really good projection, excellent longevity and can be an all season signature. Maybe does favor fall, winter and spring more but can be worn indoors in summer or outdoors at night. My first pick up in my collection and I will always have a bottle.
Loved it when it was new 30 yrs ago (aswell as the original Drakkar Noir, Antaeus,…), “KL” by Lagerfeld was as huge back then, Cool Water soon to be released. Either way: Fahrenheit is a piece of art but I neither used it back then nor today due to the “Diesel”/fuel-esque note which unnerved me back then as it does now 😊
Hey Aaron, wana start off by saying love the way u break down and review fragrances quite different than the rest of the reviewers. I had a few questions, and since u are a perfumer as well as a chemist, I figured noone better to address some possible myths or misinformation going around the fragrance community. 1) What does the expiration date mean on a bottle? Does it mean once opened and used, even if stored correctly in about 30 months, the bottle will start to go bad? 2) Can fragrances be maserated, or is that a myth? If so, what is the correct method or process? Some reviewers have used bottles from 10-15+ years, they're babying. Are they just holding onto a chemical mess because air has gotten in, or has it actually gained potency. 3) What does skin chemistry mean? Since skin chemistry makes fragrances so subjective, especially on longevity and performance, can we be categorized or just 8 billion different possibilities? Ex oily skin/dry skin, does it just sweat out of pores faster on ppl sweat more. In my head it was one big ramble so I tried my best to break it up I'm sure the fragrance community has more questions.
The original Fahrenheit 1988-1998 was out of this World, a sexy, exotic, spicy, intoxicating scent. Dior need to engineer it back to its former glory, the stuff nowadays sucks in comparison.
I suppose I could say that this is one of the few blind buys that I did not like personally, but I was blown away by the longevity and character. Gave it to a picky friend who loves ombre leather. I think it might be his signature scent now.
Aaron, please try the Parfum version. It share the same DNA with the original, but is way more boozy, vanillic, smo(oooo)th and not as petroly. It's the most "niche" designer fragrance out there.
This comment right here😎.A good buddy of mine at work just got THE ONE EDP. And told me it reminded him of Fahrenheit mixed with Downy scent booster lol. That’s exactly the vibes I got. I was wearing Fahrenheit when he wore The One EDP for the first time. For research purposes and a potential S tier layer combo. What is your spray ratio between the 2?
Has been my signature scent during almost the whole nineties ('till Boss Bottled) and is after EM Molecule 01 my most complimented fragrance of all time. 🤓👍 Only after being reformulated people started to dislike it. 🤔 PS: Molecule 01 has been reformulated as well, probably a few years ago. Not even remotely close to the magic it was before. 😌 Hence, I understand why a lot of people started to bash on that one too. 🤷
Molecule 1 is literally just iso e super. The only thing that could have been “reformulated” is the percentage of it in the bottle so I doubt there is a discernible difference and if it seems weaker then just spray more.
I was not a fan of this because on the petrol type smell. I would very much like to try the parfum version but very hard to get a sample and the shops don't seem to stock it 🫤

Some people hate the EDT but they love the Parfum edition.
Fahrenheit is the best perfume ever made and anybody who disagrees with that is wrong. 😅
Agreed
They're not " wrong ", they just have different tastes....it's subjective. It's OK to have varying opinions or disagreements.
I just bought the parfum yesterday!
@@TheLuminousOne My new batch is good not as intoxicating and long lasting but it smells like Farenheit
I suppose I could say that this is one of the few blind buys that I did not like personally, but I was blown away by the longevity and character. Gave it to a picky friend who loves ombre leather. I think it might be his signature scent now.
One of the first bottle of cologne I ever bought still love the scent
Could you review 40 knots by Xerjoff?
Well done! I love your reviews!
would love to see your opinion on Givenchy gentleman Edp Boisee
I would like to hear your opinion on Xerjoff Homme; it's similar to Dior Fahrenheit's description.
Aaron, never EVER change your background music, please!
@Aaron Please review Dior Fahrenheit Absolute. ❤
Would love to see you do the opiums , ladies and pour homme
Aaron, please try the Parfum version. It share the same DNA with the original, but is way more boozy, vanillic, smo(oooo)th and not as petroly. It's the most "niche" designer fragrance out there.
Layered with The One edp ..Amazing 12 hour mix....Something in the farenheight pushes the mid notes of The One for 8+ hours.Try it..
Actually think it was The One Intensely EDP.
I find these reviews very relaxing but I have made two blind buys off these reviews and I have loved both!
Has been my signature scent during almost the whole nineties ('till Boss Bottled) and is after EM Molecule 01 my most complimented fragrance of all time. 🤓👍
Only after being reformulated people started to dislike it. 🤔
PS: Molecule 01 has been reformulated as well, probably a few years ago.
Not even remotely close to the magic it was before. 😌
Hence, I understand why a lot of people started to bash on that one too. 🤷
Molecule 1 is literally just iso e super. The only thing that could have been “reformulated” is the percentage of it in the bottle so I doubt there is a discernible difference and if it seems weaker then just spray more.
Unfortunately something really changed.
I even had a girl in a niche store smelling my 2018 bottle and she thought it was much better. 🤷
I was not a fan of this because on the petrol type smell. I would very much like to try the parfum version but very hard to get a sample and the shops don't seem to stock it 🫤
Hey Aaron, could you smell some stuff from Profumum Roma and give us your thoughts. My favourite is Acqua Viva but most of the stuff is pretty good in my opinion. Would love to see what you think about them ?
the best perfume ever made
Nope…The best perfumes ever created are Dior Homme Parfum and Armani Attitude
@@ΜιχαήλΙορδάνης-ι5θwhat does Dior homme perfume smell like? what does the smell remind you off?
Greatest ever.
