So glad you finally got around to experiencing Dior Fahrenheit. When launched in 88, Dior was decades ahead with this scent. Will always be in my top five.

No matter what nieche fragrance you will put on the table, Dior Fahrenheit will blow that away. It’s so unique und has a quality non-existent in most designer fragrances. Dior Homme Intense/Parfum is on the same level.
I'm an expert lol on EDT and the Gasoline smell is only there for a few mins after that is dissipates, and anyway who really smell you a few mins after applying cologne actually nobody it's the dry down they smell when you arrive at your destination, i'm actually happy that the initial smell puts people off so they don't buy it and people like me get to have such a unique cologne that not many have, but trust me this stuff has a magical dry down that's turned many a women's eye's sleepy!
You’re right. I’ve been going to a particular store in my area and there was one 50ml bottle sitting there for maybe 4 months. I’ve looked at it every time I went in and today I finally bought it. I see the gasoline in the beginning, but after that it leaves the station and the sweet but fresh warm woody smell enters. If I had to describe it as a visual I would say imagine a brand new leather couch just unwrapped sitting in a damp rainforest on a hot day as the fire you had going just extinguished from a quick rain but is still smoking and yes the leather couch is sitting on the forests floor. That’s the visual I get from this smell and I like it. I’m gonna give it a couple days worth of a wear to see how I really like it and hopefully get some compliments.
Totally agree the Parfum is a masterpiece and just a classy fragrance. I’m totally hooked on it. The initial sweet burst is just stunning. And the dry down is masculine and rich.
I'm actually interested in having a vanilla or toncabean-scent, but every fragrance I tested was just.....I don't know....too generic? I own and absolutely LOVE Fahrenheit Edt, but I tested the Parfum just once on a paper-stripe. I smelled that stripe for days though..... Thanks to Corona I can't go out and test the Parfum again, so I'm giving it a blind-buy shot. A vanilla fragrance with a little bit of that masculine, old school Fahrenheit EdT vibe.....I'm excited.
Awesome video Chris, thank you! I loved Fahrenheit from the first time I smelled it, it just blew me away. I get the gasoline vibe and I love that about it- mix that with the florals and it's just such a unique scent. So when I heard the notes of Le Parfum I was so excited- rum, vanilla, licorice...all mixed into the fahrenheit DNA? Wow, I couldn't wait. But when I smelled it, it just fell flat for me. My mind conjured a different scent image when I heard the notes, it just wasn't what I was expecting. The licorice is very prominent- which makes for a very sharp, tangy sweetness and something I would almost prefer to smell on a woman. On the positive side, the dry down becomes much more pleasant and it just gets better and better the longer it wears.
I've been wearing Fahrenheit le Parfum in the last 7 days. The EdT I don't wear so much, I own a 2007 batch, it's not as wearable as Le Parfum. Both have good performance.
Sucks that the Absolute has been discontinued. I really wanted to try it out. I’ve never gotten a hold of the Parfum but about the EDT, It smells amazing. The 2020 batched got amped up in the Petrol Accord and it smells perfect. Wonder how it’d stack up against the vintage bottles.
Can you comment on how long it lasts the 2020? you sure its a 2020? I heard that 2018 batch is better than 2019 but didnt heard anything about a 2020 reformulation. Thanks a lot.
Great video as usual, Chris. The OG Fahrenheit was one of the first fragrances I ever purchased. I worked at JC Penney in my local mall when I was in high school. I worked in the jewelry dept. (doing watch repair) which was right next to the fragrances. When it was slow, I would hang out in the fragrance section, smelling all the men’s fragrances. This was early 90’s. As soon as I smelled Fahrenheit I purchased it on the spot. So different. Thanks and be well Chris!
Love the EDT. Very creative masterpiece (let's not forget when it came out). The Parfum (latest batches) is quite generic nowadays: boozy and vanilla. Dozens of fragrances that smell 70-80% the same. The original is still quite unique. Haven't tried the other flankers. P.S. The petrol vibe of the original is due to the violet leaf-leather combo.
Smell this twice as Sephora's, the 3rd time I sprayed on my skin and went out. I wound up getting 3 compliments within 2 hours. I went back to sephora and purchased it! I love it
@@Simku I don't know. Just called ferenhiet. It's the fuel smelling one. I didn't know there was a difference. It doesn't say on the bottle and I already threw the package away. I love it. I actually spray a dose on my chest before bed. Now im curious of the difference!

Great video. I’ve always found Fahrenheit edt great in the summer . It smells hot weather in a dry middle American highway . Both near perfect . EDT is one of the greatest 10 fragrances of all time I think . Doesn’t get the moniker ‘niche quality’ nearly enough. Lovely work .
Who understands Fahrenheit EdT he would never give to smell hand from such close distance, cause it's magic comes from whiffs of air. If you compare fumes smell from close distance to half meter scent trail both are completely different stories. I've seen 180° turn of opinion on EdT so many times already that I know Chris's comparison has unfortunately nearly zero information value. But very nice video! I appreciate your hard work on it. Keep on going!
Enjoyed Brother, I just got the EDP so haven't given it a good wearing yet as it's 100 degrees here in Southeastern North Carolina, Enjoyed the content as always, GOD BLESS
You should try Fahrenheit Cologne as it's better suited for these hotter summer days. It retains that petrol vibe but with a lot more citruses instead of the leather, works great for me
Love it when your wife shows up on camera! She always rocks a different look each time. Been waiting for this comparison video. I own both, but much prefer the EDT (pre-2019, though). I Can't compare the two because I think they are 2 completely different perfumes and i don't see them as one family.
I'm a bit disappointed in myself that I'm on my 3rd bottle of Fahrenheit Le Parfum and STILL have yet to buy a bottle of the edt. Even if just for the collection. I'm definitely gonna grab one late winter/early spring this year.
Used to love fahrenheit, it was my signature scent when I was between 14-19 years. Today when I am 45 I just ordered both thanks to your video. Looking forward to get some childhood memories :)
My 14 year old loves this (parfum which he wears for school 😳😂), he is 15 in two days and I just bought the EDT by mistake 😬 so I scrambled for a good review because I don't have time to return it. Thank you fragmental this review has put my mind at rest I'm going to keep the petrol one 😂⛽👍 I'm sure he will love it 🤞
Loving the outdoor sets Chris. I too remember getting looks when talking to camcorders back in the mid 2000s. Or maybe because I was addressing my future self? 🤪 Either way, back then people treated you like a celebrity if you did that. These days it's so common that they barely wink. Sadly, I haven't yet tried Fahrenheit Parfum but the edt will always be near to my heart. Just like A*Men, it was one of those fragrances that turned me onto perfumes outside of my aquatic bubble. From hate to love, or fate above, to prize the once appalling; a trace of grace upon my face, scent memories recalling. 🔥🔥🔥
I extensively used edt in the early 90’s and it was wonderful, lasting all day and beyond. I just bought a 200ml at £101 (discounted) and am extremely disappointed with its weakness. It lasts 4 hours max. So I called Dior and was surprised to actually talk to someone! (In this day and age). I relayed the I.D. number from the bottle bottom and she confirmed its authenticity then informed me Dior changed the formula in 2017 to make it ‘Lighter’ (Weaker)😠. That’s it for me, they can get lost, they’ve ruined a beautiful edt for what?? I will buy a £14 copy of the old one which is EDP or the stronger ‘intense’ version online, which has great reviews. So,… my Fahrenheit smells like I remember but does not last and at £101 (discounted price) is an absolute rip off. Your video was good, all the same. Thank You.
I had Farenheit when it was launched and several other fragrances back in the 80s/90s. Life got busy the last 30 years and i started looking at these videos. I am disappointed that all of my old scents have been changed. Why? Just doesn't make sense. I can't bring myself to buy any of my old favs.

Great review was a pleasure watching. Love the EDT great classic. The Parfum is on my list of fragrances I want to get a bit hard to find in the USA and if you do it’s well over $120. Will have to pick it up overseas once’s things get back to normal hopefully soon.
I've really been enjoying the style of your Friday night vids. Hopefully you will be able to make a few over the summer and stock up before the weather changes. Really hope Dior start to push boundaries again, when they do they are by far the best designer house.
It's a no-contest for me, the EDT (especially in the vintage or the most recent reformulation) is original, creative and a modern(ish) classic. The Parfum is perfectly pleasant, but it reminds me of everything that's wrong with going too posh with a Sausage sandwich. It's made with a tasty Sourdough Loaf, high-quality 80%+ pork sausages and an artisanal Brown Sauce, eaten at a fancy Bistro alongside a Flat White...but somehow the sum of those parts just isn't as good as two slices of thick-sliced white, Richmond Sausages and dash of HP and a cup of tea from a greasy spoon (next to a Petrol Station)
You are so fortunate to live in a colder climate. You have opportunities to wear cool weather fragrances (which I absolutely love!) Which I dont have being from the tropics!
Been wearing the EDT since 2001 when I was at the green age of 16. First proper smelly I ever owned outside of Boots' cheapies given to me at Christmas! My dad got a bottle of Fahrenheit given to him by someone he was doing some building work for (reminded this guy's new girlfriend of an ex so he just gave it to my dad to get rid of it quick. Thought I'd put this detail in here because you also brought up the 'ex memory' bit!) My dad didn't like it because it's not really his thing (he's more Eternity, Aramis, Red etc) so I nicked it. Mate.... did I get some attention because of it! During my late teens and early 20's, it set me aside from the competition in a big way. It's been in my arsenal ever since and it will remain there for all time. I love Fahrenheit.
Love the EDT, haven't tried the parfum, the original was even stronger I just can't get enough of the petrol smell. I blind buy Le Joker from ADP, Fantastic!!! It reminds me a lot of TF Oud Minerale but in an hour or so changes on my skin and the star anise gets more noticeable, in general I love it!!! Fantastic video, thanks Chris!
Old fragrance: long list of notes. New fragrance: less than half the number of notes. Great video again. Your daughters have the right idea. The classic Fahrenheit is great. It is clearly because of name recognition, but I don't understand how they can call the new one Fahrenheit.
@@UnknownChap not at all. I remember smelling “The Absolute” few years ago at Sephora. It smelled great but it never had the uniqueness I loved the first time I smelled the parfum version

That sheep’s eyeballing your bottles!! I sadly still don’t have any Fahrenheit but I do have Alexandrias dupe of the original. Beautiful vid as usual sir.
Does anyone know if the 2020 farenheit edt is any good ???? I heard the 2019 batch was terrible!!... Im looking for a new scent after Terre de hermes edt being my signature fragrance for some time is just not working on me anymore!! have tried the edp but its sits too close to my skin and seems to heavy it takes the freshness i liked away so im in need of something new.... Im looking for something different and haven't come across anything ive liked!! So im thinking back to the beast farenheit as although its not new its edgy enough to do the job. If anyone has any recommendations I'd appreciate it ...bare in mind im 6ft 5 and 19 stone so i want something masculine with longevity ... Cheers
Just went to Macy’s. Blind bought. Tested it there initially. Smelled like cucumber with spiciness. Later when I got home, I smelled the card again: i got that motor oil - petrol smell... might return
Update: I opened it, sprayed it on myself, and saw what happened. I ended up liking the whiffs of it I got. I only sprayed it 1 1/2 sprays on my chest (1/2 because the first spray of a new bottle comes out like that).
You either hate it or really love it. In 2009 I hated when I first smelled the Perfum but right afterwards I can’t wear any other cologne except Jo Malone Intense (which I am not going to purchase anytime soon). Fahrenheit CD requires boldness and confidence to wear and I got both
My all time favourite fragrance going back to age of 10 I have received a bottle of the EDT each and every year for Christmas. So for over 30 years Fahrenheit is Christmas 🎄 to me Love love love 💕 it!!!!!
Smashed it again Chris , loved it !! The parfum is nice , my Brother wears it and I told him it's the nicest fragrance I've smelt on him . The video was top drawer again mate , can't wait for the next one !! 👍
It's Friday again and I won't get to watch this until 10.00pm but I'm looking forward to it . The parfum is really nice , I've not smelt the new edt but I've smelt older formulations . I'm interested in hearing your thoughts , Ice cold Beer in hand for sure as it's a Friday and it's 90 ° in the UK which doesn't happen often as you're well aware Chris . 😎 🍻

You are so fortunate to live in a colder climate. You have opportunities to wear cool weather fragrances (which I absolutely love!) Which I dont have being from the tropics!
Yes I'm thankful for my country of residence!
How do you get your children to smell your perfumes? My kids 10 and 12 have stopped doing this :)
Great video but what happened to the original introduction tune?
Sometimes I don't use it in my vlog videos.
Fahrenheit is fantastic and smells like defrosted mountain cranberries to me.
Tried parfum and it has the best drydown ever: vanilla and olibanum.
Yes definitely get the OM comparison with Le Joker👍🏻
A classic sent and a modern classic, dont choose and enjoy both I do👍
Beautifully done. Well done!
Thanks for the new info 👍🤜 very much appreciated
Old fragrance: long list of notes.
New fragrance: less than half the number of notes.
Great video again. Your daughters have the right idea. The classic Fahrenheit is great.
It is clearly because of name recognition, but I don't understand how they can call the new one Fahrenheit.
Mate incredible as always, sorry I missed the premier
You're so lucky, your family is awesome! 😊
Are Fahrenheit Parfum and Fahrenheit LeParfum the same fragrance or are the two totally different fragrances?
The absolute is the best version imo 👑
Agree
Not really-it’s too “sweet” IMO
@@Vascodagam333 are you thinking of the le parfum with its heavy use of vanilla?
@@UnknownChap not at all. I remember smelling “The Absolute” few years ago at Sephora. It smelled great but it never had the uniqueness I loved the first time I smelled the parfum version
Hey Chris why is your buyer in video private only? I’m really interested in these new fragrances that I know are getting ready to drop but do you have a Patreon account or something that I’m not aware of that you’re not letting us see? Just curious pardon my ignorance!
That sheep’s eyeballing your bottles!! I sadly still don’t have any Fahrenheit but I do have Alexandrias dupe of the original. Beautiful vid as usual sir.
Thanks mate!
Fahrenheit CD requires boldness and confidence to wear and I got both
That's funny, I always ask my daughter which fragrances she likes better too.
Thanks👍🏻
It's Friday again and I won't get to watch this until 10.00pm but I'm looking forward to it . The parfum is really nice , I've not smelt the new edt but I've smelt older formulations . I'm interested in hearing your thoughts , Ice cold Beer in hand for sure as it's a Friday and it's 90 ° in the UK which doesn't happen often as you're well aware Chris . 😎 🍻
Great!!! ...where is that place?
Fragrancenet has 2.5 testers of the Parfum for around $100 right now, which is a good deal 👍🏼
Literally loll'd at 'don't know what petrol smells like'... Awesome vid
I enjoy both of them alot ...i feel Le Parfum is the Fahrenheit take of their own Dior Homme Parfum
Fahrenheit Le Parfum is the truth. One of the best, most underrated boozy vanillic scents on the market
Hi Chris. I really enjoyed this comparison clip, and also the footage of your out and about knitted into the overall review. It was excellent. For me, it will always be Fahrenheit EDT! Thank you for your hard work!
la parfum is best???
Can any one reply on the longevity of the 2020 Fahrenheit?
The EDT is an absolute banger! Always will be. Liked the le parfum but you can't beat the original
Farenheit edt is a masterpiece, not only belongs Dior but also belongs to perfumery history....But i prefer le parfume ,it has modern touch ,more wearable, nice vanilla vibes with edt DNA.
Hello! I’m a relatively new follower of yours but you remind me of Justin Rose. Not sure if you follow golf but I noticed the resemblance within 5 seconds of watching you
It's usually Loki but I'll take JR😉
very well covered in a great location more of this type of nature vlog👍
I like this fragrance, but dont know any woman that like that fragrance
Sadly 🤣
@@lunabella1812 thank you
Beautiful family in a beautiful place.
people staring at you because you look like a movie star making his own short film?
Are you related to Michael Douglas?
I think so
@@FRAGMENTAL You look a lot like Kirk Douglas 👍
I really think that DFP is masterpiece... I’ll say it once again but think the hype if it was a niche/indie brand ...
best editing ever
Lovely place and your daughters are amazing😄!
Great video👍🏻
Great video.
