  • Technical tests using an FPV drone camera powered by a Lthium Torch battery and running on an OTA wagon pushed around to observe any track problems. The layout is 'Beechingless Barnstaple' and laid with Rocoline track - with trackbed. It is currently being 'resurrected after years of non-use due to proritising portable layouts: so track cleaning and some alterations - resulting in many buildings and landscape sections being lifted and stacked wherever possible! Later videos will be once the scenery is back in place 8-)
    The camera used this time was: A Micro FPV Camera, S 2 OSD AIO 5.8G 800TVL HD Micro FPV Camera NTSC PAL Switchable FPV Camera 150° FOV Horizontal 170° DFOV Diagonal Viewing Angle, via Amazon, and hard wired to a 3.7V Lithium Battery holder.
    Recorded on TF card in a BETAFPV VR03 FPV Glasses with DVR Function, Interchangeable Antenna, 5.8G, 48 Channels 4.3 Inch 800 x 480PX, HD-LCD, NTSC/PAL Support Recording Playback - this model uses mirrors instead of fresnel lenses.
    The video recording was 640x480 4x3 format 50Hz.
    The occasional break-up / signal loss was when I accidentally touched the receiving aerial on the Goggles.
    The video features: The 'High Level Loop' built on the RSJs of the loft conversion. some stills of Wrafton/Exeter/ExmouthJunctionSidings, then video of my Torrington Branch, and Ilfracombe Branch.
    The TV screens can show: video cameras monitoring pointwork on the lower [storage] level or, now, Z21 App trackplan displaya via an Android Tv box loaded with the Z21 App.
