Live Stream Test Recording from Ray & Kaths G Scale Driver's View, On Train, and Lineside
The first test recording of Live-Streamed video from a 'drone' FPV mini camera to (2) Video Headsets: Intended 'double-recording' to cover any period when a receiver had loss of reception - but one set was mis-formated.
Editing of the first section has removed Rx Losses giving jumps in the video.
Later sequences retain the 'lost video' (noise/breakup) indicatiing where and how often this occurred. Some losses were due to 'handling' issues - contacting the aerial(s). Moving around whilst wearing a headset is not recommended ! Recording quality was probably 480 lines 25Hz ... and is converted by RUclips to 480. The recorded sound has not ben included in the upload ( But despite the silence th...

Please ensure this is played back at the 'full' standard definition resolution and not at the minimal 144 ! Solent G Scale at PGR 13th June 2024 HD 1080P test recording using a BOBLOV A22 Body Camera with onboard LCD screen and /-90degree tiltable video head. First direct recording (not off-screen) of Roco VideoLok ICE from 2013 streamed via Z21 App to an Android TV Box ( from where ot would normally be displayed on a large screen - but here converted from HDMI to Analogue PAL video and recorded digitally on a cheap 'Mypin' DIgital PVR/monitor ( specced at 720 x 576 x 12.5 fps !! ) ... the low frame rate perhaps being a suitable match for the frame ...

What movie is that?
Recently it has been either the incredulous Post Office enquiry (live) or a Carry On Film from ITVX on the screen, but in this case it was ITV's [recent?] 'Tom Jones' period drama (now being blurred). When 'operating' the layout: the monitors show video from cameras pointed at pointwork at each end of the lower storage level (Exeter St Davids) ... but can now also be used to show the Z21 track diagram screens by using an 'Andoid TV box' with the Z21 App loaded ... replacing earlier PC-based mimic diagrams ( Rocomotion) or my original 2 metre long hardware Zero-1Micromimic display which is now mounted on the garage wall.

One of my favourite SM32 layouts. The SloMo mechanisms, RC and auto couplings aid to the realism greatly. Must be very satisfying to operate ✌️💜👍😊
I assume the 'slow motion' effect is achieved with a flywheel between the frames somehow turning faster than the wheels to give more inertia. Whatever it is it certainly makes for much better control, really impressive. Is a design for such a device available please.

Phil: have more video of the layout taken and Woking and the G Scale AGM at Stafford to on the edting backlog ! Possbly also at Reading Large Scale Show [as this was originally misidentfied] magnficent anywhere! lN G Scale we have our own 3m and 4.5m (dcc) shunting puzzles - which are a bit more portable. At our [Solent] Wickham Show pre-covid, we were set up alongside Steve wth our (dcc) Linear Modular - a brief clip of it at Hollycombe is also here ...
It would be lovely if the person who modified these engines offered his services. Im sure lots of people in the live steam community would pay to have their RD house engines converted to this more well proportioned design.
The slow motion mechanism is made by Terry of SSP in Australia and has now produced a new improved version of SloMo that fits directly on the axle..eliminating the chain drive and uses all Enclosed gears. So they are commercially available and their website is smallsteamperformance.com.au ...and prices etc . STEVE is regarding his locos to 32mm for his next layout. MARCH edition of Garden Rail Magazine [UK] will feature the locos on one of Steve's layouts ...or search for Steve Howard and/or Hambleden Valley on You Tube for further videos and information.

Yes to both. Another video of mine including Hambleden Valley when at Alton Show will be uploaded 'soon'. More info can be found on the "Steve Howard" You Tube Channel under 'Hambleden Valley. The slow runnng ability is due to an Australiian mechanisn fom SSC. The fan used when refueling is to cool the gas tank to as to accept more fuel.... it getting warmed by the boler.
