Nothing like the traditional owners to show us the ways of the world. Beautiful stuff. This is content that NEVER disappoints. BIG thanks to the indigenous owners and to you gents!
Glad you enjoyed it Teddy, I agree mate. Who better to teach us than the clans whos ancestors have roamed the country for thousands of years. Amazing people with amazing knowledge.
Absolutely brilliant what a great video what wonderful area that is. Well its time for "hardly no idea and haven't got the gear". We got going with me running around the garden with Cheryl in the wheel barrow!! As the the weather is better here we went to the village pond with rods, thongs, etc, telling people we watch "Wild Reaches" on RUclips we are living the dream!! Anyway cut along story short a couple of blokes turned up in van with white coats enquiring about our mental health...Charming!! Take care still planning our trip Nat, cheers from the UK!
Absolutely fantastic episode guys, I really enjoy hearing and seeing how the traditional owners and people spend their life's up in such a beautiful place. Seriously guys, such a great episode. Love it.
I have nothing but admiration for you guys. Getting out an educating and sharing the knowledge of our native culture. So much to learn from the elders of this land. You have a one of a kind channel mate. The passion and effort you put into getting content is superb. I always look forward to the next episode. Great work guys.
Thanks mate, that gave me butterflies. Its overwhelming reading these comments, hearing how much people are enjoying and appreciating what we're putting out there.
As always. great video mate 👍 thanks again for another adventure, its amazing that every time i watch 1 of your videos im out there with you and not sitting at home on the computer.... such special moments being able to spend time with the traditional land owners....
I love hearing that Mickso. That’s what I’m trying to achieve, taking all of you with us on these epic adventures into Northern Australia’s wilderness. 👌🏼
Maaaate! Far out! That was a special episode legend! What an amazing place! Those guys were awesome! What a privilege to be there! I found this episode one of the best Nath! I really enjoyed it! The fish were a bonus, and the stuff we can learn off of legends like that is priceless! And the cook up! Wowee! Mate! Thankyou so much for sharing! These kind of episodes with the traditional owners is right where it’s at for me!
Thanks Nath ... your Videos just get Better n Better Mate ... Awesome ... great to see the old fella didnt mind bein on camera and showing you a little and DAMNNNN Dane excelled with that baked dinner ... just great to watch cheers guys
You 2 lads are very lucky to have met the fine man that is Willy Banjo (Chappy). A finer fella you’d struggle to meet. From my memory his partner was Adeline Lawrence. In digging back into the memory from 30 years ago but I’m pretty confident of that.
Great episode guys looks like a good bunch of guys to get to know it's a shame that lots of land is locked away and unable to get to know the traditional owners and the land . Australia is absolutely a beautiful place 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Nevan, we had such a good time. We’ve always found that just asking and showing respect allows us access into a traditional country. We feel very lucky to be able to share all this content with everyone on RUclips
It was beautiful through there hey. The video didn’t really capture how amazing and loud the bird life was, thousands of birds flying around that lagoon. Awesome stuff
My favourite episode of any RUclips channel ever! Had to say. Thanks lads. Like going home. So thankful and heart full! Brothers… heading near there soon. 🦄💎🙏🎯🐃🥇🌏❤️
Wow, thats amazing to hear Trevor, So glad this style of content is being so welcomed by our viewers and community because I love making it. I have an amazing year planned with alot more of this going even deeper into the history and culture of our indigenous friends. I really hope to get it in front of alot more people all around the world to showcase this amazing culture.
Yass great Ep, thought i'd missed an Ep, but that was explained and respectful for their tradition. It's good seeing how the traditional owners are living, seems carefree and still looking after land (burn off) as they have etc. Would of been a humbling experience. Pork looked great, how was the crackling Dane ? Cheers to another brilliant Ep. 🙏
The Kokomenjena mob and the other 2 local clans seem to still live a culturally rich lifestyle which is great to see. There are still a few episodes to come out on their homelands so you'll definitely get a good insight into it.
Another great show.........one thing though, standing on the edge of the bank is as good as dead. Crocs won't have any pity on you guys and they are quick.
@@WildReaches This country has so much to offer, im just glad I can sit back with a beer after work and watch you guys breaking new ground and getting to know the real culture. Hats off to ya's. And I hope you can catch some big girls after getting blessed to country. Love your work.
Fantastic work nate and dane so pumped for ep 76 watch your content twice a day any ideas when 76 is comeing out ? Sending the love from sydney nsw brothers 👍🤙🤙
@@WildReaches if thats the new one with chappy hellyeah such an educational video both for indigenous peoples and non in a lot of ways . .. im trying to find the episode were you boys droped the crab pots and what yall caught but not yet able to see it maybe its an up and coming no idea but pumped any hows thank you both for educateing me a lot further . 🤙🤙👍
Maybe im thinking of ep 77 im in a wildreachers over load at the moment its npw been last serious like 5-6 hours and better than any tv i sware that so can you maybe advise me of that or not as yet . Take care and thank you 🤙🤙🤙👌
Seriously one of the most interesting episodes seen this year so far. What tremendous scenery and how cool to get to hang out with traditional owners and learn from them. Simply fantastic! Ps. NATH for the Patreon zoom calls is that always 4pm Brisbane time?
Thanks Marshall, glad you liked it mate. Yep its always been that time BUT I will be putting it to the community soon to see if there is a better time for everyone.
Another great video! The whole family enjoy watching, always makes us keen to get out for a bit of an explore and fish! Not sure if you are already aware or not but noticed when you cut from Go Pro to drone footage, the drone frames are a bit jumpy. I had the same issue when editing my drone footage and found I needed to match the video frame rate to the output render rate. Its not so noticeable on a laptop or phone but when viewed on the TV it stands out a bit! Hopefully it will be easy to match the Go Pro to the DJI. Im only a novice myself but its just one of those issues Ive come across! Keep up the great work! Look forward to future videos!! Cheers!
Hey mate, so cool to hear the whole family is enjoying our show. unreal. And thanks for pointing that out, Iv never noticed as it doesnt do it on my IMac but ill look into it.
Another great episode, I know you have said it multiple times throughout previous episodes but what size rods, reels and line are you guys using up there, getting into my bait casting but can't make up my mind on rod size and length, hard so find one that cast all rounder lures
Hey Jack, we usually use a 5’6 baitcaster rod 16-25lb, Penn fathom reels, 30lb braid and 70lb leader when chasing bigger Barra, drop down to about 40lb for smaller Barra and even 20lb for small freshwater stuff.
I carry a Gerber LMFII Infantry knife and a pair of Gerber Magniplier 7.5 inch. Iv tried all sorts of gear over the years but I always come back to these.
