Great interview, very relaxed and easy going. The whole sudden influx of murder mystery tourists will whittle down quickly but at the same time isn't it great to have more visitors to such a beautiful place. I did the trip myself recently but I parked the car at kaelfadda bridge and walked to the scene so as to not add any unnecessary extra annoyance to the locals. I found that so many cars drive up the wee road to the house and then have all kinds of problems turning and reversing, I can understand why the locals are annoyed with them. I also found it strange that so many didn't even get out of their cars, they didn't stand and give a thought or a prayer, nothing, I found that very sad. RIP Sophie.

Good story . Yes the interview was relaxed as there was no point in dwelling into the case again with so much content out there . This was a follow up and hopefully this investigation gets opened again for closure for all effected by this tragedy

The coat thing was ridiculous. On Netflix the senior detective was saying that the coat was missing. Maybe he should have looked in his own evidence locker, it was in there!

Which bit? The senior detective said the coat was missing, it is literally said by him on the documentary. Yet the Sky documentary shows the actual Gardai documents stating that the coat was taken as evidence and samples cut from it. Jules said it was never returned.
      The detective is a liar.

@@zed351 I haven't seen that documentary as I'm not joining sky for it, but I am doing my best to get it for free. I did read the dpp report, but don't remember anything about it. So is it fair to say Netflix documentary is probably garbage, and quite possibly Ian bailey is another Colin stagg or Barry George?

    • @zed351
      @zed351 3 года назад +2

      @@rusroydon8470
It is indeed quite possible that Bailey is a Colin Stagg.
The Netflix one was very biased in presentation, anything that pointed to Bailey's innocence or Gardai corruption was played down or not mentioned at all. The Sky one shows the actual documents referring to the coat being taken as evidence and cut for samples. Why then does the Netflix one suggest that the coat was missing, why does the detective get to lie and say that it was missing?
We know why, because they want you to believe it was burnt when it wasn't. That is how dishonest the maker of the Netflix one is and how much in bed he was with the Gardai and Sophie's family.
Even the DPP report states the following, "At page 19 of Dr. Geraldine O'Donnell's statement she refers to Bailey's clothing which
included one black/dark navy overcoat (P.J. 24) and states that she found no damage on the clothing of Ian Bailey." So even the DPP report shows that the coat was taken as evidence.

Have you seen the latest about the witness who has come forward? From The Mirror:
"A witness has come forward to gardai working on the Sophie Toscan du Plantier case with a fresh statement about the 1996 murder.
An elderly man gave an account claiming another person had confessed to him that they had helped clean blood-stained clothing after the murder.
It is understood the West Cork resident, who knew the French filmmaker, got in touch with a solicitor in the wake of two new documentaries about the unsolved case.
He made a new sworn statement at Bantry Garda station on Thursday in which he discloses the “confession” to him about bloodied garments.
In a three-hour interview with gardai the man, who has previously given other statements, claims there was a face-to-face conversation at a named premises in 2001.
He said the other person appeared to be in fear and he told them to contact gardai, but that did not happen."

Innocent people should never take a Polygraph test.
If it shows that you are innocent, people will still think you are guilty anyway!
If it gives an indeterminant result, people who think you are guilty will continue to say you are guilty.
Polygraph testing is pseudo science nonsense, it is why courts don't allow them as evidence. There is absolutely no benefit from an innocent person taking one.

It is more than a "lack of proof". It is highly critical of the "evidence" and this is coming from the PROSECUTION.
When the prosecution themselves pull apart the evidence, then that reveals much about the guilt or innocence of the accused.
