Thanks for including a detailed look at the tacho board. I was able to repair mine today by swapping out the resistor (30ohm, 1/4 watt) and the diode next to it. I believe that these parts fail when the bike's electrical system gets over-volted. This can happen when your regulator/rectifier overheats and fails to regulate voltage.
