    Love the cool Ojo/Philosopher interaction. The Philo can pick a powerful ability while knowing that the Ojo has to weigh killing good info early or risking that the Philo chose an Ojo-bait role.

    What a fantastic game. It really did have everything, From a demon ping on the very first night, a drunk slayer shot hitting the demon, the stitch job on the steward, the brilliant decision to philo into the farmer and having it pay off, and the demon and poisoner playing an absolute blinder in terms of coordination at the end to help the demon bluff the new farmer. Top notch BOTC being played here for sure, despite the day 1 voting

    Ojo as the only demon flips everyone's claims upside down. What was private is public, and vice versa. But, if Ojo is one of several possible demons, players have to get their info out by saying as little as possible. S-tier demon.
    Although, the minions can mitigate that, and keep players from outing as powerful roles. Maybe different, less threatening minions would be better (for good) - Boomdandy, Goblin, Marionette, Mezepheles, Widow, Organ Grinder, Scarlet Woman, Baron, Mastermind, D.A.

    SPOILERS :
    Hot. Damn. So much skilled showcased here, there were great moments.
    The philo picking farmer, the drunk slayer shooting the demon early, the fake assassin to frame patters, and the S tier poisonning, especially of the farmer with then the demon picking this character, relying on trust alone and then pretty much BLINDLY claiming farmer... what a play !!
    One of my top 3 favorite games to watch !

    I'm very happy for a new demon. Was waiting for a while hoping a new demon would show up but I can only imagine they're hard to commit to and make them feel different enough. Ojo is super interesting as they kind of do have to push hard for info/roles to know what they should be prioritising, such a new and interesting playstyle.

    • @reutermo
      @reutermo 11 месяцев назад +5

      1, yes the recluse can work that way. Everytime the game check for a minion or demon the recluse can trigger, like dying from a slayer shot for example.
      2, they can, but it would be a very bad play. Farmers want to get targeted by the demon so they can start a chain of confirmation of good players.

    The only problem I see with this new demon is that poppy growers would be getting a huge nerf if paired with an Ojo.
    No point in putting both roles in a game whatsoever. Need to think of some kind of jinx. Maybe one of your minions also die if you select PG (might be too harsh, but I’m struggling to think of another option here.)

    • @kamikazegargoyle
      @kamikazegargoyle 11 месяцев назад +15

      Poppy Grower still provides that one day confusion for the evil team, means that minions don't get proper bluffs, and then if they get killed night 2 they just come out and go "well that means the demon must be Ojo". It's also a day where they don't get a kill off on a target with a more powerful info role.

      Ryan is the Marionette, not the Oracle. That's what the little Marionette reminder token is there for. The Marionette's ability is "You think you are a good character, but you are not. The Demon knows who you are. [You neighbor the Demon]"
      You may have noticed that Ryan does not neighbor the Demon, but he neighbours the Recluse, who can register as a Demon.

    Great game, but can't help but feel like the good players kind of blew it for themselves. They had day 1 demon ping and let 1 of the 2 players live until the very end of the game - huge mistake.
    There's no reason they don't eliminate those 2 players first. There's almost no chance you want both of those players in final 3 no matter what, and early on (like days 2 and 3) you're already shooting in the dark. At least shoot where the flash light is pointing since you know you'll hit *something*.
    Good play to the evil team, but I think ignoring that day 1 info was the deciding factor in this game.

    • @acenomadic
      @acenomadic 11 месяцев назад +1

      A fortune teller yes isn't as ironclad as you're making it out to be. Emma was Slayer shot and then later allegedly became the farmer. There were good reasons to believe that Reznora either hit her Red Herring or was the drunk

    • @ialsoagree1634
      @ialsoagree1634 11 месяцев назад

      @@acenomadic I'm not saying that Rez's information was ironclad. But for all the same reasons you're doubting Rez, we can doubt the slayer shot on Emma. Mal could have been lying and was a minion. Mal could have been drunk or poisoned (it turned out, they were drunk). There's no reason that Mal's slayer shot clears Emma and Rez's information doesn't condemn Emma.
      The point I was trying to make wasn't "it was obvious and they should have known" - I completely agree there were reasons to doubt the information. But the benefit of ignoring the information was minimal, and they wasted day 3 with a bunch of "maybe's" in the dark rather than executing a person that had at least a tiny bit of information suggesting they were the demon. Not only did they ignore it on day 3, they then proceeded to ignore it for the entire rest of the game - seemingly clinging to "Emma was the red herring" with no evidence, and subsequently lost the game.
      At some point, even if you did think Emma was the red herring, it was worth eliminating her to make sure. Day 3 was the best time to do that since there was nothing better to do. Ultimately, not questioning that assumption cost them the game.

In Trouble Brewing, if I choose to make The Soldier into 'The Drunk', they are not a drunk Soldier, they are 'The Drunk'.
