- Victor recently successfully applied for the 10-year Chinese tourist visa. We went through an agency and wanted to share what the experience was like (considerations, process, etc.)

Super helpful to know! Thanks for sharing!
Yay glad it was helpful!
thanks for the video! helped me a lot considering it was kinda difficult to find this info all in one place online.
Np! Glad it was helpful
Thanks! Very helpful
Glad to hear! Thanks for watching 😊
Thanks for sharing!
Can you share what specific documents were required? Thank you
Can you please list some of these agencies ? I dont want to be duped and worse loose my passport thats my only concern. Also looks like washington embassy does not need flight, hotel reservations or itinerary any more ?
Hi thank you so much for posting this. Which visa service did you end up using?
No problem - hope it was helpful! :) We used Corion Travel in San Jose. They were great - very quick and efficient.
Thanks so much for sharing! How did you find the agency? Is there a list somewhere?
Np hope it was helpful!! We literally searched “Chinese Visa” on Yelp haha and then cross checked reviews on Google. Not sure if there’s a comprehensive list of agencies somewhere.
Hey Ashley, I also am in the Bay Area and filling out my form. I had two questions…
1. What was the format for your written invitation for Victor? Does it matter if it’s handwritten or typed out, and should i have it in both english/chinese with my hosts signature at the bottom? I’m planning on similarly submitting with just an invitation and no flights/hotel bookings at the time of application.
2. What were the issues the agency caught with his application? I was hoping to submit it without using a travel agency and was curious of any potential “gotchas” like you mentioned to prevent having to visit more than 2x.
ps. thanks for the awesome video, far more informative than the last few i watched :)
Hi! So my uncle who lives in China wrote Victor’s invitation letter. It was in Chinese and typed out. I think this website actually has specific requirements of what is needed in the invitation letter depending on the type of visa you’re applying for (see Annex 2 or 3): us.china-embassy.gov.cn/eng/zytz/202206/t20220614_10702581.htm#Annex2
In terms of mistakes the agency caught - there were a few careless ones like not including his middle name lol but I think he also initially selected the wrong Visa type tho I can’t remember exactly which one 😅 They also helped flag that we needed a photocopy of my uncle’s id (front and back since initially we only included front). So things like that. But if you read the instructions carefully you should be good - I think most requirements are explicitly spelled out.
Glad the video was helpful!! Best of luck with the visa application :)
Wow, 300 per person for the agency and 185 for 10 year/single entry?
Yah the agency fee was quite hefty :/
@@ashleyvictor Yeah wow. Is that agent fee per person?
I think so, but i already had my visa so didn’t have to go through that process. Now that you mention it though, maybe if you submit more than one visa application the per person agency fee might be lower given that the same person from the agency can take both applications up to the embassy as part of the same trip.
@@ashleyvictor Thanks so much! Have a nice week!
im so scared they cant give me visa im from japan
What’s the Visa agency you used?
Corion Travel - they’re based in San Jose
hi. how can I find agency to help fill application?
I would recommend doing a google or yelp search for “Chinese visa” and that should bring up agencies near you that can provide this service!
Hi, I am in need of intivation letter for business visa, thank you
I’m planning a trip to China but I need a tourist visa and my spouse is Chinese so the visa I have to get is a Chinese ID passport and invitation letters and employee letters and a passport photo but for one question do I have to print my spouse’s Chinese ID passport because I don’t have one yet ? Can you please reply me
So I know their requirements do vary somewhat depending on each person’s situation. Would recommend referencing this website: us.china-embassy.gov.cn/eng/zytz/202206/t20220614_10702581.htm
But at least for us, we had to provide the invitation letter and copy (front/back) of the person who provided the invitation letter (in this case my uncle).
I want to apply from New Zealand tourist visa to China Please Guide Me...
I think you still need to go through the same online application system. This website might also have some helpful info auckland.china-consulate.gov.cn/eng/lsqz/gg/202307/t20230714_11113170.htm
thank you so much
I was told u.s. citizens dont need an invitation
Correct it’s not a requirement but having an invitation letter means you don’t need to have airfare or hotel booked in advance.
