Hello Sophie. Thank you very much for the excellent and easy to understand video. I know a lot of research and time goes into creating such videos, so thanks once again. I hope you will be able to answer my questions. I am an American citizen and I am planning to visit China for a month in January 2024. I have a couple of friends in Beijing with whom I had had a heated discussion on WeChat about a week ago regarding Chinese politics. You know very well (and I am sure the entire world knows) that the ridiculous 1958 "Great Leap Forward" movement of Mao Zedong (Chairman Mao, also known as the Butcher of China) had resulted in a severe famine and about 50 Million Chinese died. Still, the Chinese Communist Party has hung Chaiman Mao's picture on Tiananmen Square in Beijing. I had said in my WeChat chats that hanging Mao's picture and glorifying him (despite the fact that he was solely responsible for the death of 50 M Chinese between 1958-1962) is exactly same as the Germans hanging Hitler's picture on the Berlin Wall. I had also posted Mao's picture and exact same comment on my WeChat Moments. My Chinese friends were speechless because of my comment and they hurriedly blocked me on WeChat. My questions: Please tell me if I travel to China, will the Chinese police arrest me in Beijing because of my comments against Charman Mao (which they all revere, apparently)? Is it safe for me to travel to China? Does the Communist Party of China has the means to monitor chats that are agaisnt them and Mao? Will I be even granted a Chinese visa? I am asking you these questions because you are Chinese and you very well understand the Chinese politics, and CPC's mindset. Please try to answer my questions truthfully and honestly. Thank you very much! 🙏
Hello Sophie. May I know why you are not answering my questions? Are you scared of the Chinese communists and that's why you are avoiding to asnwer my questions? If yes, please say so honestly so I will not follow up with you in the future. Thanks so much!

Hey Sophie, thank you so much for this incredible video! I have a question, if you happen to know anything about it: if I wanted to move around different cities and change hotels, should I put all of them in the visa application or just the first in which I will be arriving in on the first day will be sufficient? Hello! Thank u ☺️ I understand what you mean. What I do is: I always put the address of my first destination so they can see where I’m staying after landing at that city. After that, it depends on how you travel to the other places you visit. If it’s all by plane and you gave the info about those flights already, I’d give those addresses as well. But if it’s for example by train or another transport that you didn’t share with them, I don’t think it’s super necessary to share all the places to save yourself some time. That’s how I usually do it. Hope this is a bit clear for you!

Hello :) Thank you for your video, it’s hard getting comprehensive information about Chinese visa application. 😂 I think for tourist visa it is possible that you give your hotel bookings, flight documents, travel initary and then you don’t need an invitation letter.
You need invitation letter from China

Hi Sophie!

Hi, that’s so cool that you want to visit China! I think it’s definitely possible in some way without an invitation letter, as there are many tourists coming to China as well. Maybe ask the embassy how to get a visa as a tourist :)

What's the maximum amount of cash am I allowed to carry in China? Can I use cash for all payments including trains?
Hi, I googled it for you and got this: "Travelers are allowed to take up to US$5000 equivalent of foreign currency or 20 000 RMB of local currency in cash in or out of the country. This applies to both foreigners and Chinese nationals. If the amount does not exceed this limit, one will not be required to declare this to customs."
As far as I know you can use it in trains but ask them beforehand just to be sure because things could change. Good luck!

Ja!
Any advice on starting a business in China
No sorry.. no idea 😅
Probably extremely difficult, if not impossible, especially if you're from the United States. Probably not even worth trying.
I have only given name in my passport.. thn wt to write in last name/surname option. I m applying M-type buisness visa , so need this guidance for invitation letter & visa form
Hi,I’m visiting china soon, did you booked and paid for your ticket for the visa processing?
@@Omotolajireh use dummy ticket , no need to book tickets for visa . If u r applying business Visa M-type , need of flight ticket or bank statement in that case.

Does China still offer 10 years visa for US citizens?
Probably not, relations haven’t been that welcoming lately…
How long does it take to receive back your passport if you are applying from UK?
Good question, I only have experience in the Netherlands but I usually take around one month time to apply, request and receive my passport and visa so I don’t have time pressure. Good luck!
Super helpful 👍
Thank you, I’m glad it was helpful!

Is it possible for single person to get China multiple entries visa
You can get multiple entries, yes! You’ll have to request this during the Visa application process process.
@sophiellune are you processing for China visa
how long does the visa take?
I’d recommend taking at least a month to apply for the Visa, but you can already start applying maximum 3 months before. Good luck!
How much does it cost?
Depends on the type of visa, I think I paid around 200-300$
I want to go to china in October on a tourist visa but dont know anyone with a chinese passport who can write me an invitation letter :/
if you book with a tour company they will send you an invitation letter. I am going through that right now.
@@susanxlu9012I wonder how far in advance are you allowed to get an invitation letter, and how long is it valid for, after you get it?
China still requires Covid-19 Vaccine?

@@gangcheng-uf3bdThank goodness, but you never know when they're going to start requiring it again, especially with this new strain of Covid going on.

That’s very sweet thank you ❤️
Almost all Chinese women are extremely attractive, especially this one in the video. I want to marry a Chinese woman, if I can find one that will accept me? I'm 53, so I hope to find one about my age or maybe younger.
Basically, it's impossible.
Can I take my ivitation letter scanned wih the signature in it?, so they don't have to send it all the way from China?
The thing is my daughter's dad is chinese, but because of distance and the pqndemic we haven't been able to registere her under his name, so I guess we have to apply for a tourist visa until we can prove she is his child. But he will write the invitation letter, I was just wondering if it had to be the original one or it can be scanned and printed?
Thanks in advanced.
Great question! My father just send me the scanned version with his signature and it’s fine. You don’t need to have ‘the real signature version’ received my post from China. Just make sure all the info is in the letter and maybe also the birth certificate of your daughter with both of you in it as parents so they’ll know he’s the father? Good luck!
