This is a quick video on how to fix the remote desktop error "An authentication error has occured. The function requested is not supported." This problem started for me when Windows updates ran on one of my systems.
It can be resolved by clicking start then type gpedit.msc and hit enter. In the window that opens, expand:
Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / System / Credentials Delegation. In the right side of the screen double-click on 'Encryption Oracle Remediation and click 'Enable'. Set the protection level to 'Vulnerable' and click Apply. Then you're done!

(Do this step to computer you want to remote)
Right click my computer-->Properties-->Remote Settings-->Untick Allow connection only from computers running remote Desktop with network level authentication (recommended)

I am trying to troubleshoot a system I have here with this error. I have two identical systems (these are semi-conductor systems) same OS and same hardware, each has two PC's. 1 I can remote desktop with no issues and the Encryption Oracle Remediation is set to Not Configured. The 2nd system is configured the same way but I get the "An authentication error has occurred" error message when trying to remote in. It would appear something else is causing this error.
