@@bighersh14 I don’t know why this guy’s video doesn’t mention that UNLV gave him $3,000. If the university giving money is a violation why was this allowed? This was the first thing reported in several articles.
They tried to work him basically. They used the OC to make the promise so that Odom wouldn’t be held accountable and then kept extending deadlines as to when he’d get paid. Gave him $3K and expected him to just keep playing hoping they get him to play just enough games to no longer have a redshirt.
He did the exact right thing. He took a trash team to 3-0 and now another team will offer him much more in NIL.
Anyone who doesn’t understand this is too stupid or just hasn’t read basic articles about the situation.

Players playing for “room and board” was always senseless and wrong. It’s been corrected now. These guys sacrifice prioritizing their education and put their bodies on the line for the sport. They’re making peanuts compared to how much they should generate.

Bro do you really not understand the concept of money? UNLV gave him $3,000 and was giving him nothing more after $100,000 was offered initially.
By saving the redshirt and getting back in the portal, he’s almost guaranteed to get an offer of at least $100K. He’s a solid dual threat QB.
Maybe you have a lot of money but not everyone does. He has no NFL future as a QB. If he wants to maximize his final year playing football where he can make money for it, what’s wrong with that?
He should’ve let UNLV lie to him and “build a name in college football” over there. Because that would be worth so much more.
