This show is 10/10 honestly. James Gunn do not touch this show, we finally have something good and relatable. I don't think he's gonna top this type of writing. To move people emotionally? To make them identify and care for the characters? Is hard to top and shows like these are rare nowadays. Just my opinion but I mean seriously look at the movies they make, I rarely connect with them. Even if they have emotional scenes and what not, this one takes the ball out the park for me. I love the characters I relate to the characters and I care a lot for the characters, this doesn't happen very often at all. Sooo yeap. Hard to top. Good CGI and great cinematography isn't the only thing..seems like a lot of hollywood movies focus more on those things only.
Move people emotionally and make people identify/care for the characters. Um Do you remember Guardians 1 cause I'm pretty sure he did that for the characters? Gunn has a lot to do to make it work with Superman especially finding that balance between action and emotion but if he comes at it as Superman and not "his Superman" I'm sure he'll reach this. I'm hoping hes watching this show at least.
I lost my mom in 2010 from colon cancer it was sudden and brutal and she was gone in 4 days stage 4 she thought it was the flu. This episode hit me like a sledge hammer because there was nothing we could do to stop it . I know what that powerless feeling is. We have to hold on to each other tight and have hope that we will get through this no matter the outcome!
Seeing her emotion when she came out about it really hit me as a premature born young man my family felt similar fear for my life when they were told I could've died had my family not acted sooner when my mom had me I was due on October but came in July which saved my life so seeing her sense of fear and struggle I can relate I have similar sense with my college education 🥺💚
I’m not sure that’s entirely fair. Juliette and Nick weren’t exactly given a good relationship in Grimm. So it was probably more difficult for Bitsie and David to have chemistry on-screen. The whole show Nick is either lying to Juliette, Juliette is lying to Nick, or Juliette “Eve” has no connection to Nick at all. I will say that David and Bitsie had more chemistry than David and Claire (Adalind) ever did.
1:24 at first I was somewhat angry that it was Lois who said that instead of Clark but after rewatching it I'm not even mad because the message is still the same the message that made me fall in love with the character of Superman way back in All-Star Superman.
They boys getting up simultaneously to hug their mother is a rewpinse i understand all too well.....sometimes you can't respond with words, sometimes you just gotta let them know you love them and will be there all with that one action
This scene actually hit me. I lost my mother to cancer. Breast cancer. At the time when doctors detected it, they thought it wasn't malignant and they could treat it with surgery and chemo radiation. It wasn't until it came back, and with better technology that doctors realized it was metastatic. My mother dealt with it for 10 years. But fought it with all her might.
@@PessimisticRavensFam I mean, they recanted Batwoman in Batwoman. Ik it's not the same thing but they made us believe the titular character was dead.
REALLY nice touch right after Lois tells Jordan and Jonathan, her voice fades out. I imagine when you hear that your loved one has cancer, everything else just… stops for a moment. I’m incredibly fortunate that nobody I’ve been terribly close to has ever been diagnosed, but my mom had a really, really serious accident at home and was in the hospital and needed surgeries and had a long road to recovery. But when my sister first called to tell me… this show is so freaking good.
My Dad is a surgeon, and when he has to tell someone they have cancer, he always makes another appointment immediately. Because generally speaking they're probably not going to hear anything after the dreaded C word. This is so accurate to his experience that it's chilling.
Superman & Lois is on a whole different level than any of the other CW shows. Shows like The Flash and Supergirl feel quite cheesy at times, but the quality of Superman & Lois seems much higher on a consistent basis. Also, Lois is 100 times better as a character in this show than she was in her arrowverse appearances.
Brought out tears out of me. That feeling when you get home and your mom has to tell you she has a terminal illness, that memory hurts and this reminded me of it.
Had to take my gf to the hospital a couple weeks ago. A test had showed possible cancer and they needed to check and be sure. Thank God it turned out to be a false positive and she's ok.
Breast cancer patient here. I feel like this was one of the most accurately portrayed sides of cancer from all sides including the caregivers and family. Such a real perspective. Loved it!
"Faster than a speeding bullet, he returns to the only arms strong enough to hold him together" -I forgot what issue that exerpt was from, but i added "Together" at the end because it felt like he wanted to crumble in that moment
I remember being in that same situation a couple years ago. Being sat down at the dinner table, being told we were going to get through this, hugging. Not a moment I ever want to relive. Even Lois’ voice muffling out when she told her sons, thats how it felt to me too. They did this scene so incredibly.
This was an extremely parable scene and these actors did an absolute incredible job in portraying it. Because virtually everyone of us who read this comment has had someone in their life attacked by cancer, a viral disease that literally zaps the life out of an individual. I know this because my mother died from colon cancer and I saw what it did to her. But at the same time I saw a strengthen her that I've never seen before and I think about her a lot even though she has been gone for A long time. Another thing that makes this scene extremely parable is the fact that you gotta put yourself in Superman shoes and think about for a moment. He has all these powers but this is one battle where he feels powerless. The woman he loves so dearly who fathered his children know face and enemy that they don't know how to fight and defeat. The character Lois is also facing a terrible enemy and I can understand her fear and lack of control on how to face an enemy that's with inside of you and you don't know how to stop it. It's gonna take all her strength to fight this in a time she will probably lose faith and then other times she will become more powerful than superman could ever be. Then you have to think about her sons who are also facing an enemy within their mother and poor Jordan who has been through so much now has the face even more hardship. His brother Jonathan now facing the reality with them as well.
"I just found out I have cancer." Not even the biggest stockpile of kryptonite or any kind of blow that can be dealt by darkseid or doomsday will be ever be able to hurt the man of steel as much as hearing the love of his life and the mother of his children say those words.
Yea i also am a cancer survivor. In 2020 I found out I had stage 3 colon cancer and there was a tumor blocking 90% of my intention and it was also the size of a small grapefruit. Had the surgery, they removed it and did 6 months of chemotherapy. 5 of those months, (as I'm typing this my thoughts goes back through all of that and I do not see how I did it.). 5 of those months I went through this alone and no support because my family was in another state and couldn't get to me. Until end of October I did meet the love of my life and she has been there for me and same for her. What sucks now is the effects from chemotherapy. Dealing with neuropathy now.

If they moved the show to HBO max weekly, way more people would watch it and less people would talk crap about it because it’s on The CW
@@rmcjr213 Facts 💯
He himself said the plan is for the show to go on for one or two more seasons.
@Juan Risa Right. I hope his upcoming DC movies do justice that's all.
Bad news: you lost your mom
Good news: I gained a friend 🙂
@@S0n0fG0D I'll see her again when it's my time to come home!
I lost my mother 3 months ago from cancer, it was aggressive.
@@matt1839 now I have her 😏
@@dale1978b alright, see you in 12 years 10 months 8 days and 2 hours!
I see this Clark has also been X-raying Lois too much
ending superman and lois 3x01 the flash, red death 3x01 ending explained pagey
Definitely not.
These scenes broke me.
The acting in this storyline is unbelievable. You really feel it. Brilliant.
Adding that type of arc to Lois 😫 especially since animated Lois apparently went the same way
I love Tyler's and bistie's chemistry in the series 😍 it is very cute 😍
So much better than her chemistry with Giuntoli "her real husband" in Grimm 😂
That’s what so great about this show, referencing such memorable parts of Superman’s mythos
this is so brilliant bro, superman is faced with something he cannot defeat with just punching, this is the best superhero tv show till now honestly
On a lighter note, "That's terrible, first every woman I have ever known, and now you guys".
Man, family guy has screwed me up.
They boys getting up simultaneously to hug their mother is a rewpinse i understand all too well.....sometimes you can't respond with words, sometimes you just gotta let them know you love them and will be there all with that one action
2:29 Clark whispering I'm so sorry I used my xray vision so much 😢😮😊😂❤
This scene actually hit me.
Elizabeth Henstridge, the power you have.
This is creative. Superman as the strongest comic character should have the heaviest burdens and trials
The fact that they didn’t show him use he’s x-ray vision and took her word for it….even more painful…
"All these powers, and I can't even save her"
Even Super heroes, need super heroes. She's in the hands of medical heroes now.
could you imagine the show having the balls to kill lois off
They won’t, her name is in the Title
@@PessimisticRavensFam I mean, they recanted Batwoman in Batwoman. Ik it's not the same thing but they made us believe the titular character was dead.
The show is ending so the final scene may be Lois’ funeral
they won't plus if they do they'll resurrect her we have seen that with whatever Mannheim is doing
@@bra-he9dl Actually we don’t know yet
I love this show so much
This episode, wow. They always know how to get us in the feels.
Had to take my gf to the hospital a couple weeks ago. A test had showed possible cancer and they needed to check and be sure. Thank God it turned out to be a false positive and she's ok.
These have been hard but powerful to watch, I've just been diagnosed with breast cancer and getting ready to start chemo
Must be from all that X-ray vision
Love this show, so well done, actors are great.
i had tears in my eyes. What great acting. Powerful scene
Certain situations no words can Express it. None needn't be 😭😭😭😭😭
This is a great scene, but I think it's kind of funny how this could be caused by Clark using his x-ray on Lois.
Clark: I should have kept a check on my x-ray vision
Clark be using that xray vision to much 😂
Breast cancer patient here. I feel like this was one of the most accurately portrayed sides of cancer from all sides including the caregivers and family. Such a real perspective. Loved it!
Wow, Family Guy actually made an accurate prediction!
Great episode they deserve an Emmy
"Faster than a speeding bullet, he returns to the only arms strong enough to hold him together"
-I forgot what issue that exerpt was from, but i added "Together" at the end because it felt like he wanted to crumble in that moment
I remember being in that same situation a couple years ago. Being sat down at the dinner table, being told we were going to get through this, hugging. Not a moment I ever want to relive. Even Lois’ voice muffling out when she told her sons, thats how it felt to me too. They did this scene so incredibly.
There's a joke about being exposed to a lot of X-rays in there.
This was such a plot twist 😊😰
Love the All-Star Reagan moment :” You’re much stronger than you think you are.”
Awww❤
The way they all zoned out after cancer 😢
All because Clark kept using his x-ray vison to see though her clothes
"I just found out I have cancer."
Not even the biggest stockpile of kryptonite or any kind of blow that can be dealt by darkseid or doomsday will be ever be able to hurt the man of steel as much as hearing the love of his life and the mother of his children say those words.
I felt this. I had a cancer scare, and lost someone very dear to it 14yrs ago.
Cannot wait the next episode 😁😁👏🏻👏🏻
What’s sad is 2 with powers know that they won’t Join them when eventually it happens
Love this show ❤❤❤
I know what it’s like my Nan died of liver cancer in 2020 it was terminal it was a hard journey to go through I’m glad u guys are telling this story thank you ❤
My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer back March 2018 I believe. The doctors caught it early so she had a chance. It’s been rough though, me and my 2 sisters and lil brother, we all pitched in, even her coworkers like when she couldn’t drive home one day. I used help her up the stairs sometimes. It really does take a village. Then a couple of days b4 Christmas, my mom told me she’s cancer free and that’s when we can all relax! Over 4 yrs she hasn’t had cancer and she’s doing very well! So I can only hope for Lois that she has the same luck or miracle! I don’t wanna lose her.
Can’t Superman just call Bruce to get access to the Lazarus Pit. You’re welcome Superman.
The lazarus pit has some bad side effects tho...
Bro I’m just trying to hold back my tears… if she dies I’m gonna lose my mind…😢
My god the acting man. Its like so real
