That's a real family argument though.
I mean they nailed this PERFECTLY.
The mom is completely going off the rails, dad is trying to keep things under control because he sees both sides of what's going on, and the son is having his moment as well.
Bravo CW, y'all really got a perfect combo on this show.

Man, for real! I have seen my mom go off like this before because she was absolutely *TERRIFIED* that my sister was lost. Lois was terrified that she was about to lose her son and that’s what caused her to lash out.

Can you believe some so called fans (who I'm general love shitting on female characters) are actually hating on Lois for this scene? Umm do they have been an ounce of sympathy or empathy?! Try putting yourself in her shoes! She just got reminded of the kid she lost and now she almost lost her baby that she's been raising for 14 years! Give the woman break! Parents aren't perfect and they yell and get mad at imperfect times.. but Lois did what many parents don't. She talked to someone, understood her issues and reconciled with Jon.

It never made sense why Superman turned Irons over to the government but kept his van. Setting that aside, this was a well-acted scene. The only change I would’ve made was to have Jonathan yell at his mother. He could’ve pointed out that she’s been reckless throughout her career and frequently needed Superman to save her too. I get what the writers were trying to do here. Lois’ anger isn’t just at Jonathan, but at herself for almost losing another child. But imagine how devastating it would’ve been for her to see that her own son was being just like her.

Going headfirst into a very dangerous place, getting stuck in a situation where he’d definitely die under normal circumstances, and having to rely on Superman to save their life? Johnathan really takes after his mom doesn’t he?
Jokes aside, this scene (and the rest of the episode) ripped my heart in two. Definitely my favorite episode so far.

To be fair, Jonathan brought it on himself for getting put into that dangerous situation in the first place.

Absolutely it kind of annoys me that there are people who seem to be saying that she was too harsh and she was out of line.

@@DgardsGaming lololol she's a mom. It's not right because Jon was also upset but give the woman a break.. try raising a child for 14 years and then almost lose him.. the killer fear is immediately followed by anger and sadness and even more fear. She s a bloody parent!

Lol he’s not gonna do it again? Loll yea ok. This a tv show his character literally has to do something similar at some point. And some kids in real life would go right back to do the same bs lol

@@lawfulhusbands And a bloody parent ought to know better than to traumatise their child a second time, so lololol to you. Imagine if a child had this much reason to get upset at their parent and screamed, 'Get out of my face!' Imagine if the roles had been reversed. Would you still be so willing to act the smartarse? Didn't think so.
