“This song came to me as I was cruising across the Carolina coastal plain into the Blue Ridge Mountains.
On my way to a small town Memorial Day Festival in Brevard, NC, thoughts of the many abundant fruits of the great American experiment were on my mind. I rested on the thought that there’s never been a more just and beautiful constitution in the history of the world than ours here in the U.S. I say this because the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America respect the sovereignty of each individual person, providing for each human person not based on their utility to society, but because of their “divine worth”, because of rights bestowed on them by their Creator and not by any man-made governmental structure.
The Founding Fathers were an extraordinary and revolutionary generation striving to create a space of authentic freedom for the future of mankind. This courageous endeavor has blessed us more than we can fully recognize, and deserves great gratitude. God bless our broken beautiful Ground.” - Adam Trufant
