Aesthetics. No doubt, something that would enrapture someone else, wouldn't appeal to you. There's a lot of overlap in what people appreciate, though it can appear like it is, art isn't universal or objective. It's personal.
It helps me not to look down on other people's tastes. If I dig deep, and really inspect why I like a thing, the source of the appreciation is outside of my choosing.
Some people have places to be, as well. Even if the music was heavenly, there's not always time for indulgences.
Assuming some people didn't share your taste for the music though, embrace that. People not sharing your taste for music, is as much a part of the beauty of diversity, as those who would. That's something that people pushing DEI could afford to remember.
